1:00 PM PST -- Frederick Alfred Jr. has been dropped by the Chainsaw Caucus just weeks after their endorsement. They tell TMZ ... "We take child safety and parental responsibility extremely seriously, and these allegations are inconsistent with the standards we expect from candidates we support. We have no further comment at this time."
A Republican running for a state senate seat in Colorado was arrested in Florida ... after cops say his daughter started drowning in a pool when he left his kids unattended while going to the bar for some booze.
Frederick Alfred Jr. was arrested Monday in Key West on two counts of felony child neglect without great harm.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, cops say his 4-year-old daughter began drowning in the pool, became unconscious, started foaming at the mouth, and eventually needed CPR from someone at the pool.
Tucker Carlson says he feels partly responsible for President Donald Trump securing a second term in the Oval Office ... and, he's really sorry about it.
The conservative commentator issued a mea cupla during an episode of "The Tucker Carlson Show" released Monday while chatting with his younger brother, Buckley, who worked as a speechwriter for POTUS.
Carlson said he and Buckley are "implicated" in making Trump president again ... and, he says it's not enough to simply say they changed their minds ... because he feels they, and millions of others, are the reason for the state of affairs.
Rep. Morgan McGarvey is quickly learning TMZ DC is here to shake things up on Capitol Hill ... even the Congressional Baseball Game is in our sights!!!
We got the Congressman from Kentucky on his way to practice for the Congressional big game, and Jacobtold him the charity event needs some serious stakes.
Our suggestion ... the game's MVP gets free rein to pass a bill. As far as we're concerned, bragging rights in Washington D.C. just ain't cutting it nowadays.
George W. Bushis freshening up the storyon that viral moment with Michelle Obama … and it’s just as wholesome as it looked.
Watch the clip … the former POTUS sat down with his daughter, JennaBushHager, for a "TODAY" exclusive tied to a History Channel event ahead of America's 250th birthday ... and the convo quickly turned to the Altoid heard 'round the internet.
Rewinding to 2018, during the funeral for JohnMcCain, Bush casually slipped a piece of candy to Michelle Obama … a blink-and-you-miss-it moment that somehow stole the spotlight during an otherwise somber day.
6:00 AM PT -- We asked Nomiki Konst about the photos and the details of her claim ... she now says, "Over the course of 2 years, I attended over 10 Democratic organizing meetings. I'm not a whistleblower or a Swalwell survivor -- but was simply sharing an anecdote of an event that occurred at one of these many meetings. The event was in a public space with witnesses. After reviewing documents, the event occurred at a DNC meeting in 2017. The point has always been about his recklessness and demanding democratic leadership have better modes of accountability."
The woman who claims Eric Swalwell made her "uncomfortable" at a Democratic National Convention event appears to have her facts mixed up, because we obtained photos showing Swalwell wasn't there. She stands by her story but admits she mixed up the dates.
Here's the deal ... Nomiki Konst last week alleged she and Swalwell had an interaction at a 2018 DNC gathering in Chicago, which ran from August 23 through August 25, that made her "uncomfortable."
Konst, who is Bill de Blasio's ex-girlfriend, went on a podcast and claimed Swalwell brought her a glass of Prosecco and "zoomed" in on her. She also said he became "touchy-feely, touching my hands."
Rep. Donald Norcross got straight-up emotional when Charlie stopped him right in his tracks, asking about a near-death experience that changed his life.
The Congressman from New Jersey was walking on Capitol Hill when Charlie asked him about something that happened almost a year ago to the day ... when he had a medical emergency on a flight -- a gallbladder infection that almost cost him his life.
Norcross stopped and choked up as he talked about the 6-week medical battle that could have gone either way.
Watch the vid ... you feel the impact it had on his life.
Oops ... Charlietried to engage with Rep. Lateefah Simon on a fun subject, but it kinda backfired.
Charlie got the Congresswoman from Oakland Monday, which happens to be 4/20, so he was all about smoke-filled rooms. Turns out, it's a solemn day for her -- it's the date her dad passed away.
Charlie was undeterred ... asking about members who might partake in the 4/20 celebrations. Trust us ... it's a subject that's near and dear to Charlie's heart.
The convo shifted to rumors that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito might retire before the midterms, so Trump could get a younger version confirmed before the election. The Congresswoman seems to be a woman of faith, because she's praying for the health of ALLSupreme Court justices, at least for the next 3 years.
Tucker Carlson’s son has bounced from J.D. Vance’s office ... but his decision had nothing to do with the fiery feud between President Donald Trump and his dad.
A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... Buckley Carlson is out as deputy press secretary in the VP’s office ... a call he made after an "intense" year in the role. We're told it's common for people to depart the WH after a year ... and this has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump and his pop's bad blood.
Obviously, the timing set off a lot of speculation ... since Trump has been going scorched-earth on Tucker lately -- calling him “low IQ,” “overrated,” and even a “broken man” in recent Truth Social posts -- while Tucker’s been firing back over everything from Iran policy to Trump’s rhetoric, accusing him of crossing serious lines.
Tucker reportedly tried to personally talk Trump out of striking Iran and has since become one of his loudest conservative critics on the issue -- turning their once-friendly relationship into a full-on public slugfest.
But again ... we heard from our source that Buckley made a professionally-based decision-- not a personal one ... as his dad and Trump continue to lock horns in the headlines.
Rep. Rich McCormick's self-effacing comment that D.C. is like Hollywood for uglies didn't snow Charlie ... he straight-up called the Congressman from Georgia handsome!!!
Charlie took a stroll with McCormick on Capitol Hill Monday, and he kinda called out Harveyfor his OWTA battle cry -- Out with Their Asses -- saying the movement ignores the folks who have made their lives harder to serve in Congress.
McCormick -- a Dr. and a vet (veteran) -- says people used to love him back home. He was even elected student body president of Morehouse College, despite the fact that he was a white male conservative at a predominantly liberal, Black, female institution.
The Congressman says once you put a letter -- R or D -- in front of your name, half the people in the country hate you. So, if Harvey has his way, McCormick says his life would get markedly easier.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
McCormick tries to wax philosophical, presumably quoting Plato, but mistakenly calls him Pluto. Well, maybe he was just trying to speak Charlie's language.
The tragic deaths of former Virginia Lt. Gov. JustinFairfax and his wife, CerinaFairfax, have officially been ruled a murder-suicide ... and the details are as grim as they come.
The Virginia Department of Health’s Chief Medical Examiner tells TMZ … Cerina died from multiple gunshot wounds, with her manner of death ruled a homicide. Justin, meanwhile, died from a contact gunshot wound to the head, with officials ruling his death a suicide.
The two were found dead last Thursday at their home in Annandale, VA from gunshot wounds ... Cerina's body was found in the basement and Justin's body was found in a bedroom. The couple was reportedly going through a messy divorce.
NancySinatra is ripping President DonaldTrump for blasting her dad’s iconic voice online ... and she’s not holding back.
The 85-year-old singer lit up X this weekend after the POTUS dropped a nearly four-minute clip of her father FrankSinatra performing “My Way” on Truth Social on Saturday evening … with zero explanation.
President Trump Posts on TruthSocial.
“And now, the end is near / And so I face the final curtain… ⁰Regrets, I’ve had a few / But then again, too few to mention… ⁰I did it my way.” pic.twitter.com/V27aQvo3mu@TruthTrumpPost
“This is a sacrilege,” Nancy fired off … making it clear she’s not here for the unexpected tribute.
Disgraced ex-congressman EricSwalwell is catching heat again -- this time for allegedly running up a boozy tab on his own campaign’s dime.
Swalwell’s campaign allegedly racked up more than 100 alcohol delivery charges over a four-year period starting in 2020 ... with booze bills reportedly tied straight to congressional campaign funds instead of his own wallet, according to a NYPost report.
Yeah … you read that right. Campaign cash -- the kind donors fork over to win elections -- allegedly being used for repeated liquor store runs.
Talk about awkward timing ... Tucker Carlson’s son is bouncing from J.D. Vance’s office right as President Donald Trump’s attacks on his dad hit a fever pitch.
Buckley Carlson -- son of the conservative lightning rod -- is out as deputy press secretary in the VP’s office … heading for the private sector to launch a political consulting firm, with Politicofirst reporting the move.
Now, this reportedly wasn’t some sudden blow-up. Buckley actually gave notice back in December and stuck around to help smooth the transition.
Representative Cory Mills was nearly arrested by cops more than a year ago ... this according to a report from the Washington Post based on newly reviewed body cam footage.
WaPo released a story based on documents and video from February 19, 2025 of officers speaking to a woman who initially claimed Rep. Cory Mills attacked her.
According to the Post -- who got the footage via court order last month -- the woman showed Officer Richard Mazloom bruises on her body she said Mills had caused during an argument before changing her story.
Representative Ilhan Omar says she and her husband aren't secretly sitting on millions despite what her financial paperwork seemed to show ... blaming an accounting error for the confusion.
Here’s the deal ... Omar's 2024 financial disclosure -- not a tax return -- listed her and husband Tim Mynett's assets somewhere between $6 million and $30 million, a huge jump from the previous year that raised plenty of eyebrows online.
An accountant allegedly listed several of Mynett's business interests as full assets without factoring in liabilities inflating the couple's apparent net worth. Omar's team says she didn't catch the error because she’s not directly involved in those businesses and relied on the filing being done correctly.
