Cops swarmed the Grammy afterparty thrown by Meek Mill in the Hollywood Hills -- a party so wild it had more than a thousand celebs and actual WILD ANIMALS!!

Meek rented out a mansion on Mulholland Drive and hosted Diddy, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow and many more -- but the bash was still going at 5 AM ... and that's when the California Highway Patrol stepped in to shut it down.

TMZ sources inside the party tell us most of the guests were shuttled up to the mansion -- but others parked illegally along Mulholland -- and cops were towing cars as the sun came up.

Hundreds of guests were stranded, wandering the street trying to get home.

Still ... it was totally worth the hassle because we're told bottles of Ace of Spades were flowing by the thousands -- and he had a camel and a LION posing for pics with guests!

Ain't no party like a Meek Mill party ...

CeeLo knows ... nothing gets a party started like half-naked women jumping up and down -- which is why the guy booked 3 hot chicks to work a trampoline at his Grammy shindig last night.

TMZ has footage from inside CeeLo's bash at Lot 613 in L.A. ... and it looked AWESOME -- with food trucks and a mobile barber shop ... and oh yeah, HOT CHICKS ON TRAMPOLINES!

CeeLo couldn't have been cooler -- and kicked it with our camera guy while he was gettin' shaved up for the party.

Gotta stay fresh.

Madonna showed up at the Grammy Awards with her son David Ritchie -- the one she did NOT call the n-word ... and the one who just happens to be African.

Eight days after Madonna was ripped for posting a pic of Rocco Ritchie with "#disni**a" -- she walked the red carpet in L.A. tonight with 8-year-old David ... who was adopted from Malawi.

They even wore matching tuxes.

Of course Madonna apologized for using the n-word, saying it was not meant as a racial slur, and was intended to be a "term of endearment" to Rocco.

The 90's were on and popping again Friday night in L.A. during Dr. Dre's pre-Grammy Party ... but nothing was cooler than Puff Daddy reuniting on stage with his former protege Ma$e.

Diddy and Ma$e killed a stellar set of a songs including "Been Around the World" and "All About the Benjamins" at the Belasco Theatre ... but their rendition of "'Mo Money, 'Mo Problems" was off the charts.

Eminem hit the stage later in the evening with Dr. Dre ... who also reunited with Blackstreet to perform "No Diggity."

It was all that and a bag of chips.

Academy Award-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou is INDIGNANT when he hears people say this is the year for black people at the Oscars.

There's a lot of talk in Hollywood about what some think is a movie trend ... triggered by "12 Years a Slave" and "The Butler." Djimon thinks the preoccupation with race is ridiculous.

Lee Daniels couldn't care less about the Oscars dissing his flick 'The Butler' because he tells us he doesn't buy into Hollywood's self-congratulatory award crap, but the thing is ... we're not sure Lee's keeping it 100.

Here's the deal ... 'Butler' came up goose eggs for Oscar noms -- nothing for Lee, Forrest Whitaker, or Oprah Winfrey -- even though critics LOVED the movie.

Daniels shrugged off the controversy at LAX ... telling us, "we don't do it for the awards, we do it for the art" -- which is either a totally chill thing to say ... or just what you HAVE to say when you get snubbed.

Daniels does end up getting a little consolation prize in this clip.

Amy Adams proved she can belt out showtunes with the best of 'em ... and by best of 'em, we mean the crowd at a gay karaoke bar in L.A. ... and TMZ has the footage.

Just days before winning the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a musical or comedy ... Adams hit up a gay bar and belted out a stellar rendition of "Defying Gravity" from "Wicked."

The performance may have been loud ... but we're told everyone in attendance was pretty impressed (and not just 'cause they were drunk.)

The so-called fecal fiasco at the Golden Globes wasn't as crappy as people first thought ... a rep for the Beverly Hills Fire Department tells TMZ, the stinky water that spilled onto the red carpet wasn't actually sewage.

The rep tells us, the pipe that burst yesterday afternoon -- mere hours before the red carpet arrivals -- was part of an old sprinkler system that hadn't been used in years.

We're told the water -- 150 to 200 gallons worth -- was stale and did smell really bad ... which is probably why people thought it was sewage, but it did NOT contain poo or pee.

9:45 AM PT -- Mia Farrow -- who was silent last night about the Woody tribute -- just posted this message, "A woman has publicly detailed Woody Allen's molestation of her at age 7. GoldenGlobe tribute showed contempt for her & all abuse survivors."

Woody Allen's biological son thinks Diane Keaton's fawning acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award on Woody's behalf lacked one material fact -- that he allegedly fondled his 7-year-old adopted daughter.

Ronan Farrow -- who's mother Mia Farrow split from Woody after she learned he was having an affair with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi -- tweeted this after Keaton's speech at the Golden Globes:

"Missed the Woody Allen tribute -- did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?"

Allen's adopted daughter Dylan claimed when she was 7 Allen touched her inappropriately.

Allen through his lawyer -- has previously denied doing anything inappropriate with Dylan.

Jennifer Lawrence is a GREAT actress ... 'cause she ACTED like she wasn't hungover at the Golden Globes -- despite getting TRASHED the night before.

The 23-year-old -- who won Best Supporting Actress -- was actually TOO sober for her own good during her acceptance speech. She said afterwords she wished she had boozed it up beforehand to calm her nerves.

If award shows were actually awesome ... Emma Thompson would be the totally boozed up presenter at all of 'em -- just like she appeared to be at the Golden Globes tonight.

Emma lazily carried her shoes on stage, along with a martini, while doling out the award for "Best Screenplay" -- and the 54-year-old celeb struggled to keep to it together through her rambling ... yet entertaining presentation.

The champagne she downed on the red carpet probably helped too.

The Golden Globes turned into a golden shower, of sorts ... after a sewage pipe burst today on the red carpet.

Black sewage started to gush onto the red carpet after a pipe burst around 12:20 pm PT ... hours before celebrities were set to trounce on it.

Fire fighters on-scene began using air blowers and wet vacuums shortly after to rid the carpet of the horrible stench -- and remove excess water -- but so far, the carpet isn't completely dry.

We got a bunch of stars who were doing some pretty serious pre-Golden Globe partying, but it seems they all made a pact --- mum's the word.

Lots of stars were partying at Chateau Marmont and RivaBella in West Hollywood, including (in order on video) Leonardo Dicaprio, Demi Moore, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Mara, Amy Adams, Bob Saget, Rob Lowe, Garrett Hedlund, Jim Carrey, Michelle Dockery and Chris Hemsworth.

Almost to a person ... they smiled and practically said nothing.

TMZ has obtained some pretty explosive internal emails and texts between BET execs, who candidly admit they ordered a transgender host to change his clothes during its big awards pre-show because he looked like a chick.

B. Scott is suing the network, claiming he was ordered to 86 his flowing blue tunic, black pants, hair, makeup and heels because they wanted him to look more like a man, even though they knew he was a transgender person.

During last year's BET Awards pre-show ... Scott appeared in his garb in the first segment but claims he was then ordered to change his clothes and remove his makeup ... he obliged but was never put back on the air.

BET Music Programming Prez Stephen Hill wrote a pointed email before the show ... "I don't want 'looking like a woman B Scott.' I want tempered B Scott."
Network VP Rhonda Cowan offered help, "I can speak to him about being less 'womanly.'"

BET had a potential public relations disaster on its hands ... because B. Scott went ballistic after being told to change clothes. BET producer Stephanie Hodges wrote an email shortly after the broadcast, confessing, "He got upset and said he was going to blow this s**t up and call GLAAD."

BET has said it "embraces global diversity" and regrets unintentionally offending anyone in the LGBT community.

But we got an email showing the network was far more cunning. It's from BET honcho Monique Ware:

"The spin should be he was late for a live show and subsequently replaced and it would have been awkward in a live show to have the person assuming his role removed and him inserted." It seems she's saying it would be weird for him to come back on the air as a man.

Ware goes on ... "Unless we can make public the reason we didn't want him dressed the way he normally does, I would stay away from suits, suit selections, etc."

In the various email and text exchanges ... BET execs say Scott had been drinking, was unruly, had shown up late, and was wearing garments that were not pre-approved.

We reached out to BET ... so far no word back.

Davey Havok -- lead singer of the band AFI -- says he's BLOWN AWAY Kanye West would actually bitch about his Grammy nominations ... 'cause music isn't a competition for petty awards.

The rocker was leaving Chateau Marmont last night ... and we asked about Ye's latest outrage over his measly TWO Grammy noms this year.

By the way, Davey's never been nominated -- but somehow has a way better grip on how to handle Grammy glory, or in Kanye's case ... disappointment.

Drake has pulled himself out of tomorrow's big Grammy Nominations Concert in L.A., TMZ has learned ... and it's all because the guy claims he's got a last minute "scheduling conflict."

The show had been promoting the rapper as one of their big acts since October ... but a rep for Drake tells TMZ something came up, and now he won't be able to attend.

"Unfortunately, due to scheduling complications, Drake will no longer be performing ... [he's] currently in the middle of his nationwide 'Would You Like A Tour?' and sincerely apologizes to his fans that he can’t be there."

According Drake's website, he's not scheduled to perform anywhere on Dec. 6th ... though he does have a show the following day in Missouri.

So, why the sudden conflict? We asked the rep ... but didn't get an explanation.
