Misty Copeland's calling time on her tenure with the American Ballet Theatre ... because she's set to give her final performance with the group on Wednesday.

The performance, which will see the dancer returning to the stage after a five-year pause from the ABT, will take place as part of the organization's Fall Gala, which will be held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City, according to USA Today.

She's set to perform excerpts from “Romeo and Juliet” and “Sinatra Suite,” and the event's expected to draw some big names, including Oprah Winfrey.

Oh, and although tickets to the Gala ended up selling out, a simulcast will be held at Alice Tully Hall inside Lincoln Center.

Copeland made headlines back in 2015, when she became the first Black woman to become the ABT's principal dancer. She'd been involved with the group for several years prior to receiving the distinction.

The dancer announced she'd be taking her final bow with the ABT back in June, and she shared a post on her Instagram account to let her fans know about her decision.

Kurt Suzuki Heading Back To The Los Angeles Angels ... As Its New Manager

Published

It looks like Kurt Suzuki's going to be putting on a Los Angeles Angels uniform again ... because he's reportedly set to serve as the team's next manager.

Sources spoke to ESPN and claimed the athlete has been called up to lead the team, which hasn't made it to the postseason since 2014.

Kurt spent a total of 16 seasons playing catcher in the MLB, and he was part of the Washington Nationals when they won the World Series in 2019.

The athlete spent his final two years as a player with the Angels, and he was later hired as a special assistant to the team's general manager, Perry Minasian.

Although former Angels Albert Pujols and Torii Hunter were reportedly in consideration for the gig, Kurt apparently came out on top.

He'll be replacing Ron Washington, who had to sit out much of the 2025 season to deal with health issues.

It's worth mentioning Suzuki doesn't have any professional coaching experience -- meaning he'll have to learn how to handle a team on the job.

Dax Shepard Tells His Ex He Was Afraid Of Not Finding Love ... After Their Breakup

Published

Dax Shepard's been pretty open about his marriage with Kristen Bell in the past, and he took it a step further on Tuesday when he spoke about his relationship with his ex Briegh Morrison -- when she was right behind him!

The conversation went down during a special segment of his widely popular "Armchair Expert" podcast titled "Mom's Car," where he drove Morrison around in Bell's car and did a deep dive into their romance, which lasted nine years.

At one point, Shepard told his ex -- with whom he had an open relationship -- he ended up developing a "deep fear" of never finding love again after their split, which was apparently amicable.

Briegh also weighed in on the breakup and said she saw herself settling down and starting a family with the actor ... which obviously didn't pan out in the end. She eventually found love and ended up with Marvel exec Brad Winderbaum, according to E! News.

Although Shepard described himself as "disoriented" after the split, he admitted he stayed close with Morrison -- now Mrs. Winderbaum -- and revealed she'd hang around his house, and eventually built a rapport with Bell.

Oh, and it's worth noting the actor claimed he's friends with all of his exes -- which stood in contrast to his now-wife Kristen, who wasn't exactly as friendly with her former partners.

In any case, Shepard and Bell eventually tied the knot, and they recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary ... which didn't exactly go over too well with many of their fans.

Pastor Marvin Winans Comes Under Fire Online After Questioning A Donation

Published

Pastor Marvin Winans wasn't exactly preaching to the choir when he confronted a member of his congregation about a donation ... because he's come under fire for his actions at his Perfecting Church's recent "Day Of Giving" event in Detroit.

Here's what went down ... Winans reportedly made a request for "$1,000 plus $1,000" from congregants, many of whom formed a line to present him with their donations, according to BET.

However, a parishioner presented the pastor with a donation of $1,235, and he quickly responded by stating she hadn't been "listening to what I'm saying."

During the Sunday event, Winans explained he'd asked for a total of $2,000 from the congregants, and when the parishioner said she'd work on getting him the remaining $800, he quipped, "That ain't what I asked you to do."

The pastor's actions went viral on social media Monday, and he was criticized by plenty of folks who felt as if he'd called out the parishioner in front of the whole congregation.

Perfecting Church has reportedly been fundraising to complete its building ever since the early 2000s, although actual construction on the church's site has been intermittent for decades, according to the Michigan Chronicle.

Still, if Winans' project doesn't pan out, he can always fall back on music ... he's been a gospel singer for several years, and he collaborated with Justin Bieber for the hitmaker's seventh album, "Swag," which was released back in July. Winans is also the guy who MC'd Whitney Houston's funeral service in 2012.

Demolition Crews Hit The White House's East Wing ... For Trump's Ballroom

Published

It's official, folks ... demolition has begun on the White House's East Wing as part of President Donald Trump's plan for constructing a new ballroom.

Construction workers tore down the facade of the East Wing on Monday, and the demolition was overseen by several members of the Secret Service as it took place, according to The Washington Post ... the massive hole and the interior of the White House was visible to the public.

Trump was nearby attending an event held in another part of the White House, to honor the Louisiana State University and LSU Shreveport baseball teams, and he did let the attendees know they might hear the sounds of demolition.

The President posted about the project on Truth Social, describing the construction of the ballroom as "much-needed."

FYI ... the East Wing is typically reserved for the First Lady's activities -- in this case, Melania Trump -- and her team. Staffers stationed in the East Wing were relocated prior to the start of demolition.

Trump stated his new ballroom would be able to hold up to 900 people, even though the initial plans only accounted for a maximum capacity of 650, according to NBC News. The construction began even without approval from the National Capital Planning Commission, which approves construction and renovations to D.C. government buildings, NPR reports.

Oh, and in case you were wondering who's paying for the new ballroom, 47's reportedly going to be taking care of the tab on this one ... with the help of several wealthy donors.
