The Weeknd Drops H&M After Racist Ad

Published | Updated

The Weeknd is making it VERY clear -- H&M's apology for a racist online ad has fallen on deaf ears -- and he'll never work with them again.

The clothing store came under heavy fire after an ad showed an African-American child wearing a hoodie with the inscription, "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle."

Abel -- who launched his own line with H&M last year -- posted a message about the tasteless ad, saying, "woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. i'm deeply offended and will not be working with H&M anymore ..."

H&M BLASTED After Ad Shows Black Kid Wearing 'Coolest Monkey in the Jungle' Hoodie

Published | Updated

It's early, but H&M just grabbed the title for MOST OUT OF TOUCH company of 2018 ... after this racist ad popped up on its UK website.

The clothing store was put on blast after this ad showed an African-American child wearing a hoodie with the inscription, "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle."

The ad's been yanked and the company issued an apology, albeit pretty tone-deaf: "We sincerely apologize for offending people with this image of a printed hooded top. This image has been removed from all online channels and the product will not be for sale in the United States."

Some of the outrage included some tweets at the company asking, "How on earth can this be? SHAME ON YOU!" and, "Have you lost your damned minds?!?!?!" Ditto.

THEY LOST MY BAGS!

Liev revealed his common plight during the red carpet pre-show on NBC, making it clear he'd do just about anything if Delta could find the bag. A Delta official tells TMZ, the airline worked directly with Liev and the bag was personally delivered to him overnight.

Liev said on social media he bought a really expensive bathing suit to go with his winter sweater to recover from the loss ... pretty funny.

It sounds like the bag contained his tux for the show and he got a new one in L.A.

He was up for Best Actor ... and lost. But, he still got his bag.

Golden Globes 2018 Time's Up, #MeToo, and Smiles!

Published | Updated

This year's Golden Globes had an air of heaviness around it -- with the Time's Up blackout, and #MeToo ... but there were also moments of joy.

Lots of folks were having a great time ... Oprah, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain, Halle Berry, Eva Longoria, Mariah Carey, Salma Hayek, Sarah Jessica Parker ... and many more.

The guys got in on the grins, too -- Nick Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, James Franco, Hugh Jackman, and Ricky Martin all seemed pretty chummy at the show.

Check out what else went on at the 75th Golden Globe Awards -- you'd almost think golden statues heal all wounds.

Big Baller Brand Gets 'F Rating' from BBB ... Customers Beware!

Published | Updated

The BBB is warning consumers about BBB -- the Better Business Bureau tells TMZ Sports the Big Baller Brand is a disaster ... and has earned the lowest possible rating, an F.

Ever since LaVar Ball launched the apparel company, the BBB has been inundated with complaints from customers who either didn't get their orders ... or got the wrong items.

If you're into keeping stats -- how's this: Big Baller has 41 negative reviews and ZERO positive ... with 33 formal complaints on file.

FYI, the Better Business Bureau is a 105-year-old non-profit organization that monitors businesses across the country to help protect consumers.

The BBB reached out to Big Baller Brand twice to help resolve their issues -- but no one at Big Baller ever called them back.

Blair Looney, CEO of Better Bus. Bureau Central CA, tells TMZ Sports consumers should be very careful when considering making a Big Baller purchase.

We reached out to Big Baller for comment -- so far, no word back.

Golden Globes 2018 Everyone Wore Black Except These Folks

Published | Updated

The Golden Globes was a sea of black Sunday -- except for some speckles of red and white ... from a few ladies who apparently didn't get the memo.

The only women who appeared not to wear black in solidarity with the Time's Up and #MeToo movement were German fashion model Barbara Meier and actress Blanca Blanco.

Meier rocked a beige floral gown, and Blanco wore a revealing red dress -- reminiscent to her even more revealing outfit from last year's Globes.

They might not immediately stand out as Hollywood heavyweights -- Meier was a winner on "Germany's Next Top Model" ... and Blanco has starred in flicks like "Showgirls 2" and "Bermuda Tentacles."

The Prez of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Meher Tatna, also did not wear black to the show.

Golden Globes Actresses No Stranger to Black Dresses

Published | Updated

The Golden Globes solidarity movement for Sunday night's show is clearly strong ... but judging from last year, wearing black to the Globes is also simply a fashion statement embraced by a bunch of stars.

Check out the gallery from the 2017 Golden Globes ... black was the preferred color for Amy Adams, Winona Ryder, Meryl Streep, Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, Mandy Moore, Kristen Bell, Octavia Spencer and many others.

The Golden Globes isn't as formal as some of the other awards shows, and black has been a default color.

What's unclear ... how many of the dresses you'll see tonight were already in the design or completion stage before the call to wear black as a statement of solidarity?

Evan Rachel Wood You're No Monster If You Don't Wear Black at Golden Globes

Published | Updated

Evan Rachel Wood says it's great that people want to wear black to the Golden Globes, and those who don't want to ... well that's great, too.

We got the "Westworld" star at LAX Friday and asked her about actors who will wear black in support of Hollywood's anti-sexual harassment movement. Evan's totally on board ... but she also supports anyone who has other ways of protesting.

ERW's not just talk. Check it out ... she offers a specific way to protest, and if anyone actually plays it out Sunday, get ready for headlines!

Paris Hilton Palms Casino Loves You ... Take a Piece of Our Sign!!!

Published | Updated

Paris Hilton and the Palms Casino in Vegas have a very special relationship ... so it's fitting they're both looking forward to a big 2018.

The Palms put up a congratulatory shout-out to Paris on their marquee this week in honor of her recent engagement to Chris Zylka ... and also plans to gift her a piece of its iconic sign when it gets replaced later this year, as part of a $485 mil property renovation.

So, why all the love? Well, Hilton's been with the hotel and casino since day 1 -- she opened it in 2001 while wearing a million-dollar dress made of casino chips.

We're told because Paris is part of Palms' history ... Palms wanted part of its history to be with her. Oh, and it says if she needs a place to celebrate her bachelorette party ... "our door is always open for you."

'Project Runway' Star Sued You're a Snake ... For Ripping Off My Face (Mask)!

Published | Updated

Designer Michael Costello ripped off a makeup artist's face mask and tried slithering away with his own version on the runway ... this according to a new lawsuit.

The "Project Runway" darling from season 8 has been sued by special effects makeup artist Lauren Mountain, who says Costello hijacked her "Under the Skin Human Mask and Snake" face mask concept and used it in a fashion show without her permission.

According to the suit, obtained by TMZ, Lauren says Michael's relative, Stephanie, reached out to her to license Lauren's human skin mask design for a 2015 show she and Mike had planned for NYC Fashion Week.

But instead of paying her for the work, Lauren claims the Costellos recreated her mask on their own and strutted a model across the catwalk. She says they did credit her as the inspiration, but Lauren still isn't satisfied.

She's asking a judge for damages of at least $150,000. Michael's team tells TMZ "LOL," adding the validity of the lawsuit is ridiculous, and that the masks were, in fact, inspired by the '80s TV show "V."

Logan Paul Threatened with Lawsuit You're No Maverick ... Just a Moron

Published | Updated

Logan Paul hijacked the name of a wholesome, reputable clothing company, and now his repulsive antics are costing the original brand millions ... at least according to the company.

Maverick Apparel fired off a scathing letter to the YouTube star Thursday, demanding he immediately stop selling 'Maverick by Logan Paul' gear ... even if he did name it after his pet parrot, as Paul claims.

In the letter, the company dismisses Paul as "a vlogger catering to his evident lowest common denominator narcissism and who champions his scrotal injuries as a badge of pride." Maverick added his "abhorrent and mutton-headed conduct" is harming Maverick Apparel's reputation, goodwill and sales.

Maverick Apparel cites Logan's recent posting of a video of a dead body as just the latest example of Paul tarnishing the brand's good name. All in all the company claims he's already cost them $4 million.

It says Paul's name is "synonymous with racist, anti-Asian, and homophobic sentiments, and most recently, a belligerent insensitivity to suicide" ... and clearly -- it wants nothing to do with him.

Maverick Apparel's threatening legal action if Logan doesn't comply within 7 days. We reached out to him ... no word back yet.

Odell Beckham Hits L.A. Nightclub ... In Shorts

Published | Updated

Don't try this at home, kids ... you won't get in the club.

But dress codes don't seem to matter for Odell Beckham -- who rocked shorts to one of the hottest nightspots in Hollywood on Thursday ... and still got the V.I.P. treatment.

The NY Giants superstar hit up Warwick in West Hollywood -- sporting shorts and a sweatshirt ... and witnesses tell us he slipped in the backdoor of the place.

Inside the club, the place was packed with big sports stars -- including Von Miller and OKC Thunder players.

Bet they were wearing pants, though ...

Christian Siriano Co. Countersues I Killed Our Deal 'Cause ... 'Just Love' Dresses Were Just Crap!

Published | Updated

Christian Siriano is firing back at a retailer that says he pulled the plug early on a licensing deal they had with him, calling a batch of their clothes low quality and unapproved.

The "Project Runway" winner's company filed its own lawsuit against M&A Imports -- which owns the Just Love brand -- saying they're actually the ones who breached their contract ... by selling crappy dresses with his name on it that they allegedly didn't run by him first.

In the docs, Siriano says he only agreed to let M&A use his 'Christian Siriano' brand if they got his approval on pre-production samples of garb they planned to sell -- but says they failed to do so last summer, yet still moved forward with an inferior product.

Christian says the dresses were basically crap -- made of cheap fabric with major stitching, hemming and packaging issues ... which he was embarrassed to endorse with his name.

He claims he had every right to end their OG contract, adding M&A never paid him for 'Christian Siriano' clothes they're still selling. He's asking for at least a mil in damages.

2 Chainz on Walmart I Should Sue Over Dabbin' Santa!!!

Published | Updated

2 Chainz says he's still on the fence over taking Walmart to court for allegedly ripping off his Dabbin' Santa sweaters ... but sounds like he's leaning toward a phone call to his lawyers.

We got the rapper at LAX and asked if he was following through on his thinly-veiled threat to sue Walmart for selling sweaters that look almost identical to his OG concept from 2015.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

He doesn't completely reveal his plans, dropping "we'll see" a few times -- and added his sweaters are all about charity. The insinuation is clear: What the hell is Walmart doing with the cash from theirs?

Bottom line on the lawsuit -- 2 Chainz told us turnabout is fair play.

Katy Perry Fan Follows Up on Custom Dog Outfit Has a 'Witness' Deliver It

Published | Updated

Katy Perry asked and then received -- the fan whose "Witness" dress she fell in love with on tour came through with an outfit for her pup ... and is working on 1 for the pop star, too.

Designer Samantha Bolton recently completed a custom doggy sweater for Katy's pooch, Nugget, and had it delivered by a friend at one of the singer's concerts earlier this month.

Hard to tell if Katy remembered ever requesting the garb from the way she reacts here -- but Samantha sure did. We're told it took her about 6 hours to design, and that she laced it with crystals that even spell out Nugget's name on the back.

Hopefully Sam's card jogs Katy's memory -- 'cause she's still working on a full-blown human-sized 'Witness" outfit, and plans to get that to her as well if she'll have it.
