A famous British politician has admitted he's a full-fledged "poppers" enthusiast -- and says a proposed ban to outlaw the drug would be "fantastically stupid."

The man on the pro-poppers crusade is MP (Member of Parliament) Crispin Blunt -- an openly gay man who also happens to be the uncle of actress Emily Blunt.

Blunt was speaking about a bill to ban certain recreational drugs -- including poppers -- when he revealed that he's a big fan of the stuff ... sometimes used by gay men to prepare their bodies for sex.

"I use poppers," Blunt said ... "I out myself as a poppers user. And would be directly affected by this legislation. And I was astonished to find that it’s proposed they be banned and, frankly, so were very many gay men."

He continued ... "There are sometimes that something is proposed which becomes personal to you and you realize the government is about to do something fantastically stupid and in those circumstances one has a duty to speak up."

Blunt says a ban on the drug would force users to get it illegally -- putting people at risk.

"The issue is about supply and, what it might do to someone like me, is to put me into the hands of the criminals to get my supply for something that I used to think was perfectly OK."

Caitlyn Jenner is done dating women.

In the season 2 trailer for "I Am Cait" she flat out says it ... "To be honest I don't see myself dating women in the future."

Up to this point, Cait's been very coy about her dating life -- and she's been on the fence about whether she supports same sex marriages. So maybe she's tipping her hand by deciding to date men.

One other option? It's all BS ... since this is a promo and nobody gives promo like a Jenner/Kardashian.

La La Anthony's got a pretty direct response to the Alabama Chief Justice directing state judges to deny gay couples seeking marriage licenses.

We got to the "Power" star in NYC Thursday night, and asked about the controversial directive issued by Chief Justice Roy Moore -- ordering judges to continue upholding Alabama's ban on gay marriage -- despite the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling last year which essentially legalized the unions.

Caitlyn Jenner's 5-city speaking tour is over before it even gets off the ground.

The "Unique Lives and Experiences" tour was set to kick off in Toronto on February 22, but people close to Caitlyn tell TMZ ... she had scheduling conflicts, so they've pulled the plug.

We spoke to the Toronto venue and they told us there were still "a lot" of tix left for Caitlyn's speaking engagement when she backed out. Despite that, we're told it was absolutely canceled purely due to the scheduling issues.

Interestingly, Bruce's speeches used to sell out on the reg. Maybe Caitlyn should reach back for a few tips on how to fill the house.

Sam Smith partied in London at a landmark gay club that might have the most uniquely awesome promotional night ever ... called -- wait for it -- Horse Meat Disco!

Yeah, Sam showed up for Eagle London's regular Sunday night event with a few older gents. Smith stayed for a while, drinking pints, dancing and horsing around, naturally.

HMD Sundays are not to be confused with Hot n' Hairy Mondays or Get Laid Wednesdays -- all of which prove London promoters are creative as hell.

No actual horses were harmed at the club. We think.

Amiyah Scott might be telling people she walked off the set of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," but producers are singing a different tune ... she was just boring as crap so they scrapped her.

Scott -- who would have been the first transgender female cast member -- got a trial run and claims she walked off the set because they were trying to sexually exploit her.

But our production sources say Amiyah never walked off ... she just didn't make the cut because she brought nothing interesting to the table ... being transgender doesn't make you automatically interesting.

As for claims she was forced to wear lingerie ... producers say that's ridiculous. Porsha Williams -- who has a lingerie line -- thought Amiyah was beautiful and made the offer and Amiyah declined ... simple as that.

It all worked out in the end for Amiyah ... Lee Daniels has just cast her on a new TV show.

Amiyah Scott was a wet dream for producers of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," the prospect of a transgender cast member made them salivate, and she's so disgusted she just quit.

Amiyah was on the show for a trial -- the first transgender woman ever on the 'Housewives' franchise. We're told producers were prodding Amiyah to sexualize herself ... wearing lingerie and acting like a vixen.

We're told she bristled at the notes because she wanted to become a role model for other transgendered people. And we're told she was doubly insulted because they tried making her the bitch of the cast, trashing the other housewives.

After a month of filming, she walked off the set, saying she was done.

It worked out for Amiyah ... Lee Daniels has just cast her on a new TV show.

Caitlyn Jenner and son Burt got mistaken for boyfriend and girlfriend ... hilarious for sure, but it soon turned ugly.

Caitlyn and 37-year-old Burt Jenner went to lunch Monday in West L.A. when photogs jumped to the conclusion they were hooking up and peppered them with questions.

Check out the video. You see Caitlyn leave and Burt blocked one of the photogs so he couldn't follow her. When the photog gets out of his car -- presumably to confront Burt -- Caitlyn's son goes on the attack.

People aren't pissed off enough about Rajon Rondo's gay slur -- which is why he only got a 1 game suspension ... so says Jalen Rose.

Check out the clip ... the ex-NBA superstar essentially says society isn't sophisticated enough yet to understand the full negative impact of a homphobic slur like the F-word -- though we're moving in the right direction.

"That same statement now is [a 1 game suspension] ... but as we get more sophisticated as a country ... that comment will be worth more games."

As for NBA sensitivity training -- Rose says the players should KNOW by now not to hurl slurs at people.

"I think there's no defense for using that kind of language" -- Jason Collins on Rajon Rondo.

Collins -- the 1st openly gay player in NBA history -- was at LAX Tuesday when we asked for his thoughts on Rondo hurling a homophobic slur at an NBA ref earlier this month ... a ref who later came out as gay.

Sacramento Kings star Rajon Rondo swears he's no homophobe -- despite the fact he hurled gay slurs at a gay NBA ref -- saying the whole thing was out of frustration... not out of gay hatred.

Rondo was suspended earlier this week after he cussed out NBA referee Bill Kennedy on Dec. 3rd -- calling him a "motherf**king f**got" while storming off the court.

Kennedy has since come out as a gay man -- leading to a closer inspection into Rondo's verbal attack.

But Rondo insists he's not anti-gay -- saying, "My actions during the game were out of frustration and emotion, period!"

"They absolutely do not reflect my feelings toward the LGBT community. I did not mean to offend or disrespect anyone."

Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé has also weighed in -- saying, "Rajon's comment is not reflective of the culture of the Sacramento Kings organization or the world we want to live in."

Former "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" stars Margeaux and Merike think they got the boot because producers have a thing against gays.

The girlfriends were doing date night at Nobu in WeHo and they groused that producers were sketchy as to why they were given their walking papers, and whether there's a sinister move afoot to keep them from doing another reality show.

Rich Homie Quan went OFF on a male fan he says tried to grope him, yelling ... “I don’t f*** with no f*****’ f**s.

Quan was doing a show in Tallahassee on Wednesday night, when he says a guy in the front row reached up and tried to grab his junk -- and that's when RHQ lost it.

Watch the clip, and listen closely for, "Get your gay ass away from me! I don’t f*** with no f*****’ f**s! Looking’ like Young Thug … get the f*** away from me.”

He ended the rant with, "I don’t like sissies, n***a!”

In the aftermath, Quan seemed more worried about pissing off Young Thug than any of the homophobic epithets. His DJ insisted the fan really did look like Young Thug.

Young Thug says he'll give RHQ "a pass" for the comment. Not sure the gay community will do the same.

Two "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" stars claim they got the axe from the show but producers are refusing to give them walking papers ... so they can't pursue other work.

Margeaux Simms and girlfriend Merike Palmiste made their debut on season 4 of 'LHHA.' Margeaux's married to producer Nikko London on the show, but announced plans to move on with Merike.

We're told the twist in the relationship was supposed to play out on season 5, for which Margeaux and Merike already had signed contracts.

But a rep for both ladies tells us producers told them, shortly before taping began, they wouldn't be needed. The rep says they weren’t given an explanation. They also didn't get a signed release -- important to have because no other show will hire them without it.

Their lawyers fired off a letter to producers 3 weeks ago demanding the docs. We reached out to VH1, but haven't heard back.

Smells like a reconciliation for Michael Sam ... 'cause the football player was out in L.A. with his ex-fiance this week ... and TMZ Sports has the video!

We didn't even realize it at first ... but upon further inspection you can totally see Vito Cammisano leave Craig's restaurant with Sam and get into his waiting SUV on the way to the nearby Nice Guy bar.

Sam and Vito were hanging with male model Shaun Ross that night ... and later in the evening, Ross and Vito posed for a pic together.

Sam and Vito split back in June -- just 6 months after the two got engaged during a romantic couples trip to Italy.

The two came together to shoot an anti-bullying video last month ... and it may have been the beginning of a reconciliation.

No word how serious they are -- considering they went out with a 3rd wheel -- but it seems like they're headed in the right direction.
