Dr. Dre is determined to ball like a billionaire, and he moved close to that goal ... by dropping his fancy Hollywood Hills crib for big money.
Dre just scored $32.5 million for his posh pad in the exclusive bird streets hood ... which is home to Leo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, and a ton of other celebs.
Dre's walking away with more than twice what he paid for it in 2011. Not bad, considering he didn't live there full time. It's not like he had to ... the Doc splurged on Tom Brady and Gisele's massive Brentwood estate for $40M last spring.
The new owners will have plenty of space for their homies to get gangsta ... the 6-bed, 9-bath joint is tucked away on a cul-de-sac with an amazing infinity pool.
We reached out to Dre's uber real estate broker Kurt Rappaport ... but never heard back. The home sale helps Dre creep toward billionaire status. Several estimates already have him over $650 million.

Lil Wayne Sues Birdman's Cash Money I Want Out!
Lil Wayne has made good on his promise to go after Cash Money ... because he's filed a lawsuit asking a judge to end his contract with Birdman's label.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Wayne says Birdman and company violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars Cash Money owes him for his long-delayed album, "Tha Carter V."
Wayne claims because Cash Money is refusing to pay, he's entitled to walk.
But Lil Wayne wants more than just a declaration of freedom. He's suing for $51 MILLION.
And Wayne wants the judge to declare he's the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings ... which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and several others.
Sources connected to Wayne tell TMZ ... if Birdman antes up then he can release "Tha Carter V," but only if Wayne gets paid. Wayne says he was supposed to get an $8 million advance when he began recording in December, 2013 and another 2M when he completed the album a year later, but so far he's gotten nothing.

Kobe Bryant Injury Hurts Local Restaurants Expecting Fans to Bail
It's not just the Lakers who will take a hit with Kobe Bryant out the rest of the season -- local L.A. restaurants are also concerned ... telling TMZ Sports business is significantly slower when the Mamba isn't on the court.
FYI -- Staples Center is located right next to L.A. Live ... a major entertainment center packed with restaurants often trafficked by people before and after events at the arena.
But with Kobe going down with a torn rotator cuff, several restaurant staffers tell us everyone is going to suffer.
We spoke with Mike Zislis -- owner of Rock ‘N Fish at L.A. Live -- who tells us, "We feel like we’re gonna lose at least 10 percent of our sales per home game."
"Last year when Kobe was out we calculated we lost $250k in revenue," Zislis says, noting that Kobe only played in 2 home games during the '13-'14 season.
"Lakers fans generally spend more than Kings or Clippers fans so when they suck and Kobe isn’t there to draw fans, it hurts."
We also spoke with staffers at Katsuya at L.A. Live who echoed Mike's statements. One staffer told us, "When Kobe is out, the restaurant is empty and business is slow. It sucks for the staff because less people equals less tips."
Of course, there's one simple solution to the problem -- the Lakers could go on a winning streak and bring the fans back to the arena.
No pressure Swaggy P.

Birdman vs. Lil Wayne War is On NO SETTLEMENT

As for the $8 MIL claim ... Wayne says Birdman owed the money for his latest album -- it was supposed to be an advance.
Birdman has held firm ... he will release the album "in due time," but clearly that's not good enough for Wayne.
We're told Wayne will keep recording but he will release his works outside of the Cash Money umbrella.

Stephen Collins DIVORCE SETTLED Confession Tape Under Lock and Key
We've now obtained the divorce settlement, and it provides every copy of the Collins' audio in which he confesses to child molestation must be destroyed, with the exception of the original -- which is now in Grant's possession. Grant must deliver the tape to Collins' lawyer, Shawn Holley, who will keep it under lock and key for 10 years and only release it if there's a subpoena.
As for the rest of the settlement, it's pretty much a 50/50 split. As we previously reported the pot is worth around $14 million.
Stephen Collins and Faye Grant have settled one of the nastiest celebrity divorces in memory ... TMZ has learned.
Collins, Grant and their lawyers spent the last 4 days trying to hammer out the settlement, to avoid what was certain to be an ugly, public trial set for February 9th.
Both Collins and Grant were ready to address the audiotape in which Collins confesses to molesting and/or exposing himself to 3 young girls. Grant threatened to raise the issue because she didn't want her settlement compromised in case he got sued, and he says the tape has made him unemployable and therefore he should be socked with a big spousal support tab.
But they worked it out, down to who gets what furniture.
