'Star Wars' Premiere Man Busted Bringing Knife to a Lightsaber Fight

Published | Updated

The giant "Stars Wars: The Force Awakens" premiere drew tons of overzealous fans, and a few of them got hauled off in cuffs for everything from criminal corniness to dangerous weapons.

One guy was busted as he jumped over a crowd control barrier and yelled ... "You're going after the wrong droids!" Cops were not impressed with his display of 'New Hope' trivia -- he got arrested for trespassing.

Another guy with fake credentials was also busted for trespassing, but the event's most threatening arrest went to an inconspicuous 40-year-old man with a cane.

Law enforcement sources tell us the guy's cane set off a metal detector. When cops took a closer look and pulled it apart, they found a 14-inch blade inside! He was booked for carrying a concealed weapon ... a felony in any galaxy.

THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH HER

Carrie Fisher seized control of the red carpet livestream during the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ... and it was everything you could have hoped for.

Fisher went a tad off script, as she tried to hurl questions at fellow co-star Oscar Isaac at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood ... bringing up her hard partying days, and ending with a barrage of curses.

We've missed you, Princess Leia.

'Star Wars' Premiere Security Force Awakens ... Random Searches in Hollywood

Published | Updated

Disney and LAPD are taking no chances for Monday night's massive 'Star Wars' premiere -- locking down a chunk of Hollywood with metal detectors and random searches.

LAPD and private security officers are already blanketing several square blocks around the famed Chinese Theatre, where 'The Force Awakens' event is going down. We've learned anyone strolling through the area could be searched, frisked, and even wanded with metal detectors.

Law enforcement sources tell us there's no specific threat, but they're using an "abundance of caution" with such a high profile event. While no one used the word "terrorism" ... it's clearly a concern.

We're told Disney is kicking in about $20,000 to hire extra LAPD officers ... plain clothed and uniformed. As one source puts it, with all the fans showing up, the 'Star Wars' premiere is going to be like a "mini Oscars" ... so better safe than sorry.

Adam Sandler Ugg Life

Adam Sandler is worth a ton of money -- but he doesn't let it get to his head -- at least not when it comes to his style choices.

Sandler was out in Brentwood with his wife Jackie on Thursday wearing what appears to be a pair of Uggs ... aka the comfiest shoes in the world. We're guessing he needed a little extra support after critics slammed his new movie "The Ridiculous 6".

No word on if Ugg has taken notice, but our advice? ... watch out Tom Brady.

Donald Trump can't separate fiction from reality ... according to Harrison Ford who took a hysterical shot at the presidential candidate.

If you missed it, Trump recently said his fav Ford movie was "Air Force One" because "he stood for America" in the action flick. Well, an Australian interviewer asked Ford about the compliment, and he found it laughable.

Watch this ... Harrison spoke directly to Donald, and took a HUGE shot at his powers of perception.

Wow. So, this never REALLY happened?

WE HAVEN'T COME THAT FAR

We ain't come a long way, baby ... is what George Lopez takes from "Straight Outta Compton" getting zero Golden Globe nominations, but there's great news for transgenders and ... Indians.

George seemed genuinely upset about the 'GG' diss ... saying it makes minorities working in showbiz feel like their contributions are not valued. But you gotta see what happened when he shifted gears, and decided to focus on the positives.

There are some groups crushing it in Hollywood, and one of them's already bypassed Latinos ... in George's eyes. Priyanka Chopra is pretty damn hot.

The most loyal fans in this galaxy are already camped out in front of the famous Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. ... despite the fact the movie doesn't open for SIX days.

But Thursday night, the group was treated to some free wings to help get them through the waiting game, and y'know ... general starvation.

One downside -- tons of wings, no restroom in sight. They're gonna need more than the Force.

The 'Compton' producer and his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr. -- one of the stars of the movie -- arrived at LAX Thursday morning ... and Cube took the high road when discussing the Globes.

Star Wars Hunger Awakens But Chicken Wings Bring New Hope

Published | Updated

A short while ago, in this galaxy ...

It is a period of waiting. 'Star Wars' fans, awaiting 'The Force Awakens,' line up outside theaters in Hollywood.

During the wait, hunger consumes the 100 Jedi fans not able to leave their folding chairs, for fear of losing their place in line, some who have been there already for days.

Pursued by no one, Starlight Children's Foundation, a charity for terminally ill kids, reaches out to Buffalo Wild Wings for help.

Soon 100 orders of wings, roughly worth $1,000 are donated to those on Hollywood Blvd, along with Bourbon Honey Mustard, one of 16 delicious BWW sauces.

The wait continues but there is balance in fans' stomachs once more.

Ice Cube Dodges Face-to-Face Diss ... From Golden Globes

Ice Cube narrowly escaped a hugely embarrassing moment during the Golden Globe nominations -- not only did they snub "Straight Outta Compton," but Cube was asked to be there!

Sources close to the award show tell TMZ a rep for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association invited Ice Cube last month to do the live announcement of nominees in L.A. We're told Cube had to decline though, because he was already scheduled to be in NY.

The Globes' diss of 'Compton' is baffling enough, but imagine if Cube had been standing on the stage when it happened?!!

Fans on social media are already blasting the H.F.P.A. for being out of touch -- but if Cube was there ... they'd have a lot of 'splaining to do.

The Weeknd - The Hills
THE WEEKND -- 'THE HILLS'

The Weeknd has been accused of straight beat jackery on his hit song, "The Hills" -- and according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the Weeknd's own producer has already ADMITTED to the theft.

The company behind the lawsuit is Cutting Edge Music -- which claims "The Hills" contains a baseline featured in the score of a movie called, "The Machine."

C.E.M. says it not only owns the licensing rights to the song -- but insists they NEVER gave permission to The Weeknd to use it on his song.

TOM RAYBOULD --'REVOLUTION'

But the smoking gun, according to the suit, is a tweet allegedly sent in March by one of Weeknd's producers -- in which he complimented the composer for the movie music and said it "might make it 2 the weeknd next album."

He added, "Huge fan of what u did 4 the machine movie."

Two months later, the song was released -- became a monster hit -- and C.E.M. was furious.

Now, they want Weeknd to fork over the profits from the song -- though they haven't mentioned a specific number.

We reached out to Weeknd for comment -- so far, no word back.
