Blake Griffin could be the next Michael Jordan -- 'cause the guy was throwin' down in Venice Beach with Marvin the Martian on what appeared to be a "Space Jam" themed commercial shoot.

Word on the street ... seriously, the people on the street were telling us ... Blake was on-set with director Jon Favreau to film a new sneaker ad for his new Jordan shoes.

He dunked, he shot around, he signed autographs for kids.

Comic book legend Stan Lee was rushed to the hospital Sunday morning ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, the "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" creator was taken from his Hollywood Hills home to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The nature of the emergency is unclear ... he just said he didn't feel well.

It sounds like he's on the mend, because a rep for Lee tells TMZ he will be at the "Ant-Man" premiere in Hollywood Monday night.

The 92-year-old is also responsible for Spider-Man, The Hulk, Iron Man and Thor, among others.

Lee was fitted with a pacemaker in 2012.

Michael B. Jordan, one of the biggest actors in Hollywood, learned Sunday night that the L.A. fire code carries more weight than star power.

Michael was turned away from Diddy's post-BET party at Boa because the place was at capacity.

Michael was cool about it, preparing to leave when one of Diddy's lieutenants sprinted out of the restaurant, telling him Diddy was going to personally get him in.

But the law's the law, and Jordan was turned away a second time. Diddy came to the front door to see if he could grease the wheels, to no avail.

Shia LaBeouf was sporting fresh head gear -- as in layers of bandages -- the morning after putting his head through a glass window ... and we got the first pics.

TMZ obtained these shots of Shia in Williston, ND on Thursday -- the day after he got 20 stitches and 13 staples. We broke the story ... Shia cut his head, left ear, and right index finger while shooting a scene for his movie, "American Honey."

The director and Shia agreed he would do the stunt himself ... for realism, and yes -- he really bled. A lot. We're told he actually gave it a 2nd go, and nailed it without injury.

Stuntmen? We don't need no stinkin' stuntmen.

Kobe Bryant wanted to make sure he could stretch all the way out during a screening of the movie "Inside Out" this week -- so he bought out an ENTIRE section of the theater ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Bryant is currently on vacation in Costa Rica -- and took his wife and daughters to the Beach Cinema Hermosa to catch a flick Wednesday evening.

We spoke with one of the owners of the theater who tells us ... Bryant bought out a "good amount of the theater" so his family could have privacy during the movie.

We're told everyone at the theater was respectful -- and Kobe was "extremely nice."

Calling out Adam Sandler for demanding extreme cleavage, just bit Rose McGowan in the ass -- she got dropped by her agent.

As Rose puts it ... "I just got fired by my wussy acting agent because I spoke up about the bulls**t in Hollywood."

If you missed it -- Rose went on a rant about the notes attached to a casting call for a Sandler flick. The notes called for women to wear something tight "that shows off cleavage (push-up bras encouraged)." She thought it was offensive to women, but a lot of people just saw it as part of the job for actors.

One day later, Rose's agents -- who most likely sent her on the casting call -- 86'd her.

Doesn't seem like she's too crushed. She tweeted, "#douchebags #awesome #BRINGIT."

Shia LaBeouf received 20 stitches and 13 staples to his head and finger following a bloody onset injury while filming a movie in North Dakota ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, LaBeouf was shooting a scene early Wednesday morning for his upcoming movie "American Honey" ... which called for him to put his head through a glass window. We're told something went wrong and LaBeouf cut himself badly.

We're told LaBeouf was taken to a nearby hospital to treat cuts to the left side of his head and his right index finger.

He was bandaged up -- stitched and stapled -- and sent home.

A rep for Shia tells TMZ, "Shia LaBeouf sustained minimal injuries late last night on the set of his current film, 'American Honey.' As protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head. He is due back on set [Thursday]."

'Star Wars' actor Jake Lloyd -- who played Anakin Skywalker -- suffers from schizophrenia, went off his meds and attacked his mother before his latest police run-in... TMZ has learned.

We've learned that the Indianapolis Metro Police Department was called on March 26 to report the assault. During her interview with cops, Lloyd's mother, Lisa revealed Jake has schizophrenia and was off his meds.

According to the report, Lisa told police Lloyd showed up at her house and began yelling at her ... telling her that she ruined his life. When she wouldn't let him in, Jake knocked her down and stomped on her three or four times, causing abrasions and bruising on her arm.

When police arrived, Jake was already gone. His mom declined to press charges.

TMZ spoke with Lisa ... who confirmed Jake began showing signs of schizophrenia when he was 19. She said Jake has gotten help in the past and the family plans to try and get him help again ... once he's released from jail.

Lisa said despite the March incident, Jake is not a violent person.

We just got the first video of Jake Lloyd's high speed chase and it's INSANE!

As we've reported ... cops say Lloyd hit 117 mph in his Nissan as he swerved in and out of traffic -- and this dash cam video shows him going off the highway, passing people on the shoulder, and kicking up huge clouds of dust in the median.

How he didn't crash into an innocent driver ... is amazing.

The dash cam was mounted in the patrol car of a Colleton County Sheriff's patrol car, and you can see at least 3 other units trying to catch up with Lloyd -- who played young Anakin Skywalker in the 'Star Wars' prequels.

The chase finally ended when Lloyd abruptly turned right ... going off the road and slamming into a tree.

Dick Van Patten, best known for playing the dad on the classic TV show "Eight Is Enough," died Tuesday morning in Santa Monica.

Van Patten's rep released a statement Tuesday, saying, "I am sorry to report this sad news. His family will not be doing any press at this time."

He reportedly died of complications from diabetes.

Van Patten started acting when he was just 7 -- often appearing on Broadway. Besides his huge TV role ... Dick also had memorable roles in the Mel Brooks movies "Spaceballs" and "Robin Hood Men in Tights."

He was 86.

Horner's assistant Sylvia Wells confirmed his death on Facebook, writing, "A great tragedy has struck my family today, and I will not be around for a while. I would like some privacy and time to heal. We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart, and unbelievable talent. He died doing what he loved."

Celine Dion tweeted about his death, writing, "Rene and I are deeply saddened by the tragic death of James Horner. He will always remain a great composer in our hearts. James played an important part in my career. We will miss him. We offer his family and friends our deepest sympathy."

A plane owned by James Horner -- the Academy Award-winning composer of "My Heart Will Go On" -- crashed Monday morning, killing the pilot.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the 2-seater S312 Tucano MK1 -- a single-engine turboprop -- went down at 9:30 AM west of Santa Barbara. We're told the pilot was alone in the aircraft when it crashed, but authorities have not identified the body.

The crash sparked a brush fire, and there was almost nothing left of the plane.

Horner composed soundtracks for Hollywood's top directors – Stephen Spielberg, George Lucas, Ron Howard, Mel Gibson -- and won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for "Titanic" ... which included Celine Dion's massive hit.

61-year-old Horner is a known recreational pilot ... much like Harrison Ford.

The guy who played NFL star Michael Oher in "The Blind Side" says he understands why Oher would have beef with the movie ... but says at the end of the day -- GET OVER IT!!!!

Oher recently bitched about the movie to ESPN ... saying it hurt his NFL career because it set unrealistic expectations -- "People look at me, and they take things away from me because of a movie. They don't really see the skills and the kind of player I am."

Now, actor Quinton Aaron has responded ... saying he understands where Oher is coming from but says the positives that came out of that movie FAR OUTWEIGH the negatives.

"You gotta at some point notice the amount of people's lives this movie has touched in a positive, encouraging and inspiring manner."

"At the end of the day bro you are a millionaire, you're famous, you are a SuperBowl Champ, you have an amazing family that loves you, friends, fans and teammates."

"Who gives a damn about what people say or think who wanna criticize your game bro, that shouldn't matter. Somebody is always gonna have something to say that you're not gonna like."

Jake Lloyd, the actor who played the young Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" -- hit speeds of 117 MPH as he swerved in and out of traffic before hitting a bunch of trees.

TMZ broke the story ... Lloyd is in custody after the wild chase last week. It started in Charleston, S.C. when cops noticed Lloyd driving a Nissan at around 80 MPH. They began to chase him, and Lloyd's reaction was to speed up, weaving and narrowly missing cars and trucks. He even used the median to pass vehicles.

Lloyd hit several trees and was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license.

Cops say Lloyd was driving in Charleston, South Carolina, when Sheriff's deputies began pursuing him. The chase was underway and it went on for miles, into another county.

Deputies say Jake began passing cars on the double yellow line and began driving recklessly, at high speeds.

Cops say eventually Jake lost control of his car, which ran off the road, through a fence and into a wooded area where it struck several trees.

The 26-year-old who also starred in "Jingle All the Way" was arrested for reckless driving, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license.

He's currently in custody.

Richard Matt and David Sweat, the two killers who escaped from a New York prison, are about to get the chance of a Lifetime ... on TV.

Johnson Production Group -- an entertainment company deep into the world of 'Ripped from the Headlines' TV -- is going to film a show chronicling the escape, the manhunt and hopefully the capture from the vantage point of Joyce Mitchell, the woman who allegedly helped them bust out.

JPG honchos tell us, there’s a market for female crime thrillers and they reckon viewers are probably even more fascinated by Joyce than the killers themselves.

The production company is confident the show can make air within 5 months, and they can easily pivot as events warrant.

As for where it lands, JPG says they have a good relationship with Lifetime as well as online streaming networks like Hulu.

Steven Spielberg’s little leading lady in “The BFG" is only 11, but she's gonna be counting a lot of zeroes soon ... at least based on the sweet deal she scored with the mega producer/director.

Ruby Barnhill's minor's contract says she'll make $85k for the first movie ... based on the bestselling kids' book about a little girl who befriends a 24-foot tall giant. And if this turns out to be another Spielberg blockbuster ... it could unlock a lot more cash for Ruby.

Ruby's contract with Dreamworks -- which was filed in L.A. County Court 'cause she's a kid -- says the studio could pick her up for 2 more flicks with $250k and $400k paydays! And yes ... that's before bonuses.
