Blake Lively's deposition kicked off just a little while ago ... and, we're told she's staring right into the face of her legal foe.

Sources tell us Justin Baldoni is in the room during the deposition, which is being held at Lively's lawyer's office in New York City.

This deposition has been a long time coming ... with the two sides recently battling over where to hold the legal interview. Baldoni's lawyers suggested a live stream at Madison Square Garden -- Blake's side didn't think that was the best setup.

Alec Baldwin's lawsuit against top officials in Santa Fe has been dismissed ... because there's simply been no movement in the case in months.

A New Mexico judge dismissed the case Tuesday ... claiming "no significant action has been taken in 180 or more days in connection to any and all pending claims."

Basically, it appears no one's filed any paperwork with the court in about six months -- around the time Baldwin originally filed the lawsuit -- and, now the filing's dismissed without prejudice.

We're all pretty pumped to see Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and The Thing take on Galactus in the "Fantastic Four: First Steps" ... but not all of the group's movies have been exactly marvelous.

Way back in the aughts, we saw the Marvel team -- including a pre-Captain America Chris Evans -- head to the big screen in 2005, and although the first one was received well enough, its 2007 sequel didn't exactly impress studio execs, and the group was shelved.

The Fantastic Four were brought back for another round in 2015, but after the movie tanked with both critics and audience, they were quickly pushed into the background as the MCU grew in popularity.

Adam Sandler had nothing but nice things to say about MJF's performance in "Happy Gilmore 2" ... and the love's certainly mutual, 'cause the AEW star tells TMZ Sports hearing the praise from his on-screen pops "absolutely" gets him excited.

We caught up with MJF -- who plays Sandler's son in the sequel to the 1996 classic -- out in New York City earlier this week ... and he described it as a dream to work alongside the Sandman.

"He's really like a father to me at this point," the wrestler said. "I grew up absolutely looking up to him and idolizing him as a kid."
