Billionaire Tom Steyer Dems Sent Trump a Message ... Courtesy My $120 Million!!!

Published | Updated

Tom Steyer is reveling in the midterm election results after dumping $120 million into Democratic campaigns ... and he's not afraid to rub it in President Trump's face.

We got the billionaire philanthropist Wednesday in Washington D.C., and he was over the moon about Dems taking control of the House of Representatives. Steyer says it's a clear pushback against Trump's administration.

Tom's PAC, NextGen Climate Action, helped flip 12 congressional seats for the Dems.

It wasn't a total blue wave for Tom's wallet. The Cali native invested $14 mil in Andrew Gillum's gubernatorial campaign, and came up short.

He's clearly choosing to accentuate the positive.

IN DANGEROUS TERRITORY

Paul Rodriguez -- one of the original Latin Kings of Comedy -- says he's sticking his neck out on this one, but is willing to take the heat ... he's a fan of Donald Trump, although he's had it up to here with his antics.

We got Paul Monday at LAX and asked if he felt his jokes needed to reflect the political climate with Trump openly attacking the Hispanic community ... especially the caravan of migrants heading toward the southern border.

Surprisingly, Paul says no. In fact, he tells us he's actually a Republican ... and mostly backs DT, aside from some harsh language. Check out his explanation on what policies of Trump's he supports and why -- it's pretty enlightening.

Speaking of which ... Paul's got some thoughts on that too, saying we live in a time where one "bad" opinion puts you up on the cross faster than you can say ...

HBO Yo, Trump ... Lay Off Our 'Game of Thrones' Line!!!

Published | Updated

Donald Trump used "Game of Thrones" to warn he was about to impose sanctions on Iran -- and while his supporters might've been amused ... HBO definitely is not.

A rep for the cable network tells TMZ ... "We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes."

In case you missed it, President Trump tweeted out a meme of himself with a 'GoT'-esque background and font that read ... "Sanctions are Coming."

It's an obvious nod to the hit series' oft-repeated line, "Winter is Coming" ... and it looks like he was trying to portray himself as Jon Snow (or maybe the Mad King?).

Either way, it's clear HBO is not down for the shout-out ... or the use of its font and background. Unclear if they plan on taking any further steps -- like a cease and desist letter or a lawsuit -- to keep Trump out of Westeros ... but this definitely sounds like a warning shot.

Judge Mathis Slams Prez Trump For Politicizing Birthright Citizenship

DISAPPOINTING MOVE

Judge Mathis is ripping into President Trump for threatening to withdraw citizenship from children born in the U.S. ... all in the name of keeping Republicans in power heading into the midterm elections.

We got hizzoner Tuesday in NYC, where he gave us his take on Trump's plans to issue an executive order to end the automatic granting of U.S. citizenship to babies born in the U.S. from non-citizens.

Mathis told us he sees right through the tactic, and calls out POTUS for inflaming the immigration issue one week before election day. The judge seems to think most Americans will see things his way come Nov. 6.

He's not alone -- Trump's plan got plenty of immediate backlash, because it's a direct challenge to the 14th amendment ... "All persons born or naturalized in the United States ... are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

For what it's worth ... the amendment was ratified way back in 1868.

Rep. Sean Duffy I'm with Trump ... Media and the Left Inciting Violence

Published | Updated

Congressman Sean Duffy thinks it's grossly unfair to lay blame on President Trump for the bombs sent to political foes of the Prez -- and he had a heated debate with us over it on TMZ Live.

The Republican rep from Wisconsin -- and former 'Real World' star -- joined us Monday to explain why he believes there's a clear double standard from anyone trying to blame Trump for the pipe bombs mailed to prominent Democrats.

The way Sean sees it, suspected bomber Cesar A. Sayoc was crazy long before Trump took office.

As for the perception POTUS is condoning violence, Sean argues the left has more metaphorical blood on their hands.

Paul Pierce Sports Teams Visiting POTUS? ... Stupid Tradition.

Published | Updated

Paul Pierce is glad Villanova is refusing to visit Trump's White House to celebrate their NCAA basketball title ... saying the tradition is dumb and overrated.

Nova's coach Jay Wright, announced Thursday the team would not visit 1600 Pennsylvania this year -- as NCAA winning teams have traditionally done for years.

In fact, Villanova visited Obama's White House after winning the title 2016 -- but Wright explained, "Two years ago it was the experience of a lifetime for all of us. It’s just a different time."

Fast forward to Thursday night outside Mastro's Steakhouse in Bev Hills -- where we asked Pierce (who visited George W. Bush's White House with the Celtics in '08) if Nova was making a mistake.

"I think that's overrated," Pierce explained ... "Why you gotta visit the White House? You got your trophy, you won your championship."

Paul tells us it's a digital time -- so a simple congratulatory tweet should more than do the job.

Then, he started questioning why the tradition even started in the first place -- strongly implying the tradition is just dumb and unnecessary.

"I don't know why we go to the White House," Pierce said ... "Why did people even start going there?"

BTW ... when Pierce went to the White House a decade ago -- he called it "truly an honor" and even brought gifts for No. 43.

Sen. Cory Booker, James Clapper Targeted by Bombing Devices

Published | Updated

Sen. Cory Booker, one of President Trump's most outspoken foes, is the latest target of a suspicious package intercepted by law enforcement.

Investigators found the package -- the 11th one this week -- somewhere near Opa-locka, FL according to ABC News. It was addressed to Booker's office in Camden, NJ. There were also 2 other devices found in the New York City area ... one of which was addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Clapper served under President Obama, and publicly refuted Trump's claim Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower during the campaign.

Officials say the latest devices were not booby-trapped to explode upon opening. The investigation seems to be focusing on a postal facility in Opa-locka because law enforcement believes multiple devices were shipped through there.

Robert De Niro, whose NYC restaurant Tribeca Grill received a device on Wednesday, is trying to use the incident to inspire.

He released a statement, saying ... "I thank God no one's been hurt, and I thank the brave and resourceful security and law enforcement people for protecting us. There's something more powerful than bombs, and that's your vote. People MUST vote!”

Caitlyn Jenner I Was Dead Wrong About Trump ... Denounces the Prez

Published | Updated

Caitlyn Jenner is doing a full 180 over her previous support of President Trump, now saying she was wrong about the guy ... this in the wake of mounting backlash from the LGBT community.

In an op-ed piece through the Washington Post, Caitlyn says she has come to realize there is simply no getting through to the Trump administration on issues important to her and the trans community.

She says it in no uncertain terms ... "Despite the criticism I received from segments of the LGBTQ community for engaging with this administration, I remained hopeful for positive change. Sadly, I was wrong."

Caitlyn says she went to D.C. to lobby the educate members of Congress over LGBT issues, which sound like they were outwardly successful, but after reports suggesting the Trump administration wants to strictly define gender across the country ... she says she's given up on him.

She goes in on Trump, saying ... "The reality is that the trans community is being relentlessly attacked by this president. The leader of our nation has shown no regard for an already marginalized and struggling community. He has ignored our humanity."

She adds, "He has insulted our dignity. He has made trans people into political pawns as he whips up animus against us in an attempt to energize the most right-wing segment of his party, claiming his anti-transgender policies are meant to 'protect the country.'"

Caitlyn mentions one last clear sign that she's no longer on Team Trump by saying ... "My hope in him — in them — was misplaced, and I cannot support anyone who is working against our community. I do not support Trump. I must learn from my mistakes and move forward."

Ouch.

Nancy Pelosi I'm Not Scared ... 'I've Been a Target for a Long Time'

Published | Updated

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi -- a favorite target of Donald Trump for years -- seems to concede she's on a list of possible targets for the bomber, but she says she's used to it.

We got Pelosi Wednesday night in WeHo leaving Craig's, and her tone was noticeably subdued and conciliatory. She's not putting the blame for the bombings squarely at Trump's doorstep, but she's clear as she can be ... the President's rhetoric has stoked the coals of division and hatred in this country.

Pelosi, who was dining with Stephen Cloobeck, a major Democratic fundraiser, said Trump may actually be unaware that "The President's words weigh a ton" on people who may view his rhetoric as a call to arms.

MLB Commish On World Series Winner Visiting White House: What, Me Worry?

Published | Updated

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred doesn't seem to think there will be any issues with the World Series champs visiting Trump's White House after the season ... despite all sorts of evidence to the contrary.

Here's what Manfred told the media before Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday.

"I think as an institution, Major League Baseball has always had the greatest respect for the office of the presidency. That doesn’t change, no matter who’s there."

He continued, "Often we’ve had situations where individuals, players, whatever, don’t agree with all of the policies of the individual that occupies the office. I think the important thing is respect for the office.”

Wishful thinking but probably not realistic ... as Red Sox manager Alex Cora has expressed displeasure with Trump just last month for "disrespecting" his native Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

"To be tweeting about 3,000 people [dying] and being efficient, it's actually disrespectful for my country," Cora said. "We see it that way. I know he probably doesn't feel that way."

On the Dodgers side, Magic Johnson HATES Trump -- and has previously compared him to a "dictator."

So, no drama? Yeah right ...

Trans Ex-Navy SEAL We're Not Afraid of President Trump!!! ... We Deal with Death Threats Every Day

Published | Updated

President Trump's attack on the transgender community doesn't have retired Navy SEAL Kristin Beck running scared ... she'll continue doing what she does best -- fight for her life without fear.

Beck -- a transgender woman and former SEAL Team 6 member -- tells TMZ, Trump's assault on her community is part and parcel of what she deals with every day. Fact is, she says when she walks out the door she knows there are people who are so filled with hate they want to kill her.

The former SEAL, with a Bronze Star and Purple Heart, tells us Trump's plan -- enacting a new policy that would cement everyone's sexual identity by their genitalia at birth -- is the action of an angry man.

Check out the vid ... Beck's got a message for every race and gender Trump's attacked, and how they can all band together.

BTW ... Beck's clashed with Trump in the past. So you know she's ready to fight.

Congressman Eric Swalwell Trump's 'Nationalist' Boast Reeks of Hitler

Published | Updated

President Trump was dead-on when he said calling himself a "nationalist" is old-fashioned, but the old era he's referring to is called Nazi Germany ... according to Congressman Eric Swalwell.

Rep. Swalwell was on TMZ Live talking about Trump bragging he's a proud nationalist, who doesn't so much care about the rest of the world. Swalwell says that kind of rhetoric is best left in the past ... just like Nazism and slavery.

The Congressman says POTUS needs to understand there's a clear difference between patriotism and nationalism -- namely, that one is rooted in believing there are superior cultures.

Eric also takes issue with the President's response -- or lack thereof -- to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside Saudi Arabia's Turkish consulate.

He thinks Trump giving the Saudis a pass for the nefarious slaying makes perfect sense ... as in, dollars and cents.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Trump Needs Self-Identifying Lesson ... We Deserve a Voice!!!

Published | Updated

Before President Trump enacts new policies essentially erasing the transgender community ... Carmen Carrera wants one swing -- a diplomatic one -- at convincing him he's dead wrong.

The "RuPaul's Drag Race" star tells TMZ ... she's willing to sit down with POTUS -- despite their huge differences -- and make it clear to him that trans people DO exist and it's their right to self-identify. ICYMI, Trump's administration is reportedly considering a policy that would identify everyone by their genitalia at birth.

That's pissed off the trans community, including actress Candis Cayne who ripped Trump a new one. Carmen, however, comes in peace, and hopes 45 or his peeps are down to start a conversation with her.

Yes, he broke bread with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West with highly publicized Oval Office visits, but let's be honest -- Trump inviting Carmen, Caitlyn Jenner or anyone in the transgender community to the White House seems far-fetched.

Ball's in his court.

Candis Cayne Trump Wants to Totally Erase Us

THIS IS AN ATTACK

Actress Candis Cayne is outraged at President Trump's reported plan to enforce strict new guidelines about transgender people -- because she says his real goal is silencing the community.

Candis -- who is transgender and was featured on her pal Caitlyn Jenner's reality show -- went on "The Morning Beat" with Jai and Mikalah Monday on Out Now Radio ... and ripped Trump. She thinks it's obvious he wants to shut down any national conversation about trans people, and adds ... the policy change could have bigger implications for our democracy.

If you missed it, the Trump administration is considering a plan that would identify everyone by their genitalia ... at birth, according to a NY Times report. The trans community is pissed, as you'd expect.

Although Caitlyn had been a vocal Trump supporter, she's flipped lately -- at least on some issues -- and on Monday afternoon, she made it clear she's lockstep with Candis on Trump's reported new policy.

Remember, Caitlyn's gf, Sophia Hutchins, recently revealed Caitlyn did NOT, in fact, vote for Trump ... despite publicly stating she did.

PROVOCATIVE FOR A PURPOSE

The woman playing the role of Melania Trump and T.I.'s personal lap dancer in the rapper's salacious video has no regrets taking the gig, despite getting a bunch of death threats.

Melanie Marden tells TMZ ... her life has been threatened on a daily basis. She can't believe people are so riled up they're going after an actress just trying to make a living.

And, speaking of people with time on their hands, Melanie takes aim at the First Lady's reps for taking the rap vid waaaay too seriously.

The actress thinks everyone needs to chill and focus on real problems, like finding a cure for cancer.

Melanie's not backing down from portraying the First Lady in an extremely sexual light, but she concedes the video could have been presented in a better way.
