Oy Vey! 'Jersey Shore' Duo Rips Joy Behar

Published | Updated

Snooki Polizziwitz and Jwoww Farleyberg -- the Jewish alter egos of the "Jersey Shore" ladies -- have had enough of Joy Behar's constant insults, so they're mercilessly mocking the co-host of "The View."

Joy has poked fun on both of her shows about the fact Snooki has "written" a book. So in some form of revenge, Snooki and Jwoww conjured up a pair of Jewish accents and made fun of Joy -- calling her an "Italian wannabe" who hates the "Jersey Shore" kids because kids like them ruined her childhood ... back during the Great Depression.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Victory in Diet Book Debacle

Published | Updated

Elisabeth Hasselbeck didn't hijack any gluten-free diet advice from another book-writing health nut ... this according to a judge who just threw out a lawsuit against the "View" co-host.

Hasselbeck had been sued by Susan Hassett back in 2009 -- after Hassett alleged EH's book, "The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide," was a rip-off of her book, "Living with Celiac Disease."

The judge had originally 86'd Hassett's case on a technicality -- but she re-filed ... and Friday, it was decided once and for all that Hassett didn't have enough evidence to prove Hassselbeck violated her copyright.

An attorney for Hasselbeck tells TMZ, "Today's ruling is a complete victory. It confirms that Elisabeth wrote her best-selling book "The G-Free Diet" based on her own personal experiences and did not copy a thing from the plaintiff."

Producer of 'The View' Sued By Injured Motorcyclist

Published | Updated

A hot topic on "The View" today might be the lawsuit filed against Executive Producer Bill Geddie.

Geddie and his wife, Barbara Ann, are being sued by Annjeanette George, who claims the Geddie's vehicle hit the motorcycle she was riding on near LAX in December, 2008, causing serious injuries.

According to the complaint, Bill and Barbara Ann "owned, controlled, repaired, entrusted, maintained and operated" the vehicle.

The suit was filed Thursday in L.A. County Superior Court, just before the statute of limitations ran out.

Annjeanette claims she'll have to endure physicians, surgeons and others to heal. She's suing for unspecified damages.

We could not reach Geddie for comment.

Susan Boyle Chokes on 'The View'

Published | Updated

Susan Boyle clearly didn't realize her performance on "The View" this morning was LIVE ... and it led to one EXTREMELY awkward moment.

Boyle was belting out "O Holy Night" -- when she began coughing and backed away from the mic ... then asked the producer if she could start over ... all while the cameras continued to roll.

After several awkward seconds, Whoopi and Sherri swooped in and bailed her out.

Producers tell us Boyle will retape her performance for the West Coast.

Whoopi: I Was Gonna 'Cuss Out' Bill O'Reilly

Published | Updated

Whoopi Goldberg claims she walked off the set of "The View" last week to keep herself from "cussing out" Bill O'Reilly on live TV ... an excuse that still didn't fly with Barbara Walters.

The ladies launched right into the controversy on this morning's show -- with both Whoopi and Joy insisting they were "glad" that they left.

But Babs -- still upset with the way things went down -- said, "You don't walk out of your own home ... you can walk out of somebody else's home ... but you don't walk out of your own home."

As we previously reported, all hell broke loose on Thursday's show after O'Reilly stated "Muslims killed us on 9/11." O'Reilly has stood by his statements.

Sherri Shepherd: O'Reilly's in 'The Pinhead Category'

Published | Updated

Sherri Shepherd isn't finished with Bill O'Reilly for the things he said on "The View" -- telling TMZ his comments about the mosque at Ground Zero land him straight in the "pinhead category."

Shepherd was at LaGuardia Airport yesterday, where she also insisted that Bill knew what buttons he was gonna push when he said, "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

As for dirty details from the set of "The View" -- Sherri seems to be under a gag order ... telling us, "I can't talk about that."

We're guessing the powers that be are holding that story for Monday's show ...

'View' Stars Fight with Bill O'Reilly ... Storm Off Set

Published | Updated

In a fit of rage, Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar angrily charged off the set of "The View" this morning in the middle of a screaming match with Bill O'Reilly over the mosque near Ground Zero ... and moments later Barbara Walters railed on the women for being unprofessional.

Tempers flared on both sides as O'Reilly argued that the mosque has no place near the World Trade Center site because "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

Just as the women stormed off stage -- a rattled Walters proclaimed, "You have just seen what should not happen ... we should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking off stage."

Walters continued, "I love my colleagues, but that should not have happened."

Whoopi and Joy eventually returned to the set ... though Joy did not return to her usual seat, located right next to Bill ... instead sitting on the end of the couch.

BTW -- we think both shows should announce the results of this poll.

Sherri Shepherd -- 'The View' Is Not a Heavy Workload

Published | Updated

Sherri Shepherd might have the cushiest gig in America -- 'cause according to legal docs she just filed, Sherri only has to work 16 hours a week on "The View" ... and makes some serious bank!

Shepherd just filed an income declaration in her ongoing divorce from husband Jeff Tarpley ... and in the docs, Sherri lists that she takes home $54,767 a month ... and says she only works 16 hours a week -- that works out to about $855 per hour!

Sounds like a sweet deal ... 'til you remember she has to sit next to Elisabeth Hasselbeck the whole time.

Obama Brought to Stammering Halt ... By Mel Gibson

Published | Updated

President Barack Obama is usually pretty good at handling the tough questions ... but when the ladies on "The View" brought up Mel Gibson this morning, dude looked pretty damn frazzled.

It all went down during a pop culture lightning round on this morning's show -- in which the POTUS admitted that he knew about Lindsay Lohan's jail stint ... and kinda, sorta dissed Snooki.

Check out the clip.

We talked to Sherri in the courtroom hallway just a few minutes ago, and she wanted us to say Jeff's a good dad.

"The View" star was leaving court in Los Angeles when we asked her if divorce had made her bitter toward marriage -- she said no ... in fact, she "loves marriage" and she'd "absolutely" do it again ... just not with her ex.

Sherri and ex-husband Jeff Tarpley -- who went to court to divide leftover assets and iron out child support details -- officially divorced in 2009 ... three years after Sherri filed papers.

Hasselbeck Cries an Apology to Erin Andrews

Elisabeth Hasselbeck launched into full-on waterworks mode on "The View" this morning to issue a public apology to Erin Andrews for cracking a really bad joke at her expense yesterday.

Hasselbeck took all sorts of heat yesterday after she made a comment suggesting that Erin's creepy convicted Peeping Tom should have dropped the hidden camera act ... because he could have seen "a little bit less – without the prison time" just by watching "Dancing with the Stars."
