WWE Ringside Doctor Sues CM Punk for $1 Million ... Over Staph Infection Claims

Published | Updated

Two former WWE superstars have been hit with a huge lawsuit from the WWE ringside doctor -- who claims the duo defamed him on a podcast ... when they trashed him over the way he treated a growth on CM Punk's back.

The man behind the lawsuit is Dr. Chris Amann -- who claims Punk and Colt Cabana defamed him on Colt's "Art of Wrestling" podcast back in November ... when Punk spoke out for the first time about his departure from WWE.

During the podcast, Punk repeatedly tore into Amann -- essentially saying he was a crappy doctor.

Amann says the two also claimed he misdiagnosed a growth on Punk's back -- a growth that Punk says later turned into a full blown staph infection.

But Amann says it's all BS -- claiming the statements are false and defamatory ... and now he wants the wrestlers to pony up more than $1 million in damages to his reputation ... plus punitive damages.

Colt and Punk had no comment about the lawsuit.

UFC's Luke Rockhold 'Millionaire Matchmaker' Screwed Me So I Hooked Up w/ Co-Host

UFC star Luke Rockhold says he got DONE DIRTY on "The Millionaire Matchmaker" -- and was made to look like a scumbag on the show ... but claims it was worth it 'cause he hooked up with one of Patti Stanger's smokin' hot co-stars.

Of course, Rockhold's appearance on the show earlier this year was super controversial -- after he asked one of his potential matches if she "spits or swallows."

Patti tore Luke's ass up in a post-date meeting -- a meeting where Luke can be seen putting the moves on Patti's attractive assistant.

Check out the clip -- Luke makes it seem as though SOMEONE in Patti's office wanted a piece of The Rock ... but he's mum as to which lady got the tongue.

And there's even MORE silver lining ... Luke says his social media pages have been blowing up with chicks who wanna hook up ... and as Luke puts it, "They don't say they spit."

You stay classy, Rockhold.

NY Giants Co-Owner No MMA For My Players 'The Risk Is Too High'

Published | Updated

Think an NFL owner wants to see one of his players fight in an MMA match? HELL NO ... so says NY Giants honcho Steve Tisch who says there's NO WAY he'd let one of his stars get into the octagon.

Of course, the topic came up thanks to New England Pats star Chandler Jones ... who says he wants to fight his big bro, UFC champ Jon Jones, in a 1-round charity match.

But Tisch says ... if Jones was one of the G-Men, he'd shut those plans down in a New York minute.

"I think the risk is too high," Tisch says ... "That wouldn't make me happy."

In fact, Tisch says he's always worried that when his players engage in off-the-field activities, he fears Murphy's Law ... that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

Translation -- don't plan on seeing Victor Cruz go skydiving anytime soon.

Tisch compares fighting to another ... maybe more dangerous activity ... and says if star WR Victor Cruz wanted to do this ... "that wouldn't make me happy."

New England Patriots We Can't Stop Chandler from Fighting ... But It May Void Contract

Published | Updated

The New England Patriots tell TMZ Sports ... they CAN'T officially prevent Chandler Jones from fighting his UFC star brother Jon Jones ... but stepping in the ring COULD void his NFL contract.

As we previously reported, Chandler is 100% confident he could beat up his big bro if they stepped into the octagon -- and wants to set up a 1-round charity fight to prove his point.

Chandler had previously told us that the whole thing would hinge on if the Patriots coaching staff gave him the green light.

Well, we spoke with the Patriots VP of Media Relations ... who tells us, "It's not a matter of if we'd allow Chandler to fight his brother. We can't stop the players from doing what they want. But he might be voiding his contract obligations to the team if he went out and did it."

The rep continues, "Without getting into a specific contract, there have to be clauses [in contracts] that protect the team ... restrictions of physical activity that would risk injury. Whether it be skiing, jumping out of a plane or riding a motorcycle without a helmet in a state that requires one."

"I think they're having fun, but do I think fighting is something they're actually serious about? No."

"They're brothers. They have a sibling rivalry. Take the Gronkowski brothers ... there's not a Gronk among them that would say Rob's better at anything."

Long story short ... don't count on a Jones vs. Jones fight ... until AFTER Chandler's NFL career is over.

NFL's Chandler Jones Calls Out Jon Jones ... He's Scared to Fight!!!

New England Patriots star Chandler Jones is now TROLLING his UFC star brother -- claiming Jon Jones is SCARED to fight him ... and is running and hiding like a coward.

We broke the story ... Chandler says he's 100% down to fight his big bro, who happens to be the reigning UFC light heavyweight champ, and wants to set up a match for charity.

But in NYC this weekend, while waiting to hail a cab with teammate Rob Gronkowski, Chandler called out his brother right on the street ... literally ... he dialed Jon up on his cell.

As we previously reported, Chandler is dead serious about making the fight happen ... as long as he gets approval from the Pats.

UFC's Jon Jones 'LET'S FIGHT ALREADY' Says NFL Star Bro

Published | Updated

UFC champ Jon Jones is being CALLED OUT by his own brother -- NFL star Chandler Jones -- who tells TMZ Sports he's ready and willing to step in the octagon with JJ 'cause he's 100% confident he could beat his ass.

"Me and my brother used to fight all the time when we were young ... and I'm pretty sure I can take him down now. I am way bigger than he is," Chandler tells us.

For the record, Jon is the reigning UFC light heavyweight champ. Chandler just won the Super Bowl.

By the way, Chandler is dead serious ... and says he wants to set up a fight for charity.

"It will be fun if we actually did a one-round match for charity ... that would be fun. If I win, he would have to donate to the charity of my choice and vice versa."

So, how would one fight such an accomplished mixed martial artist? "I would just throw him to the ground."

There is one catch ... "I don't know how my coach would feel about it. I don't think it would fly."

Nick Diaz's Trainer OVERTURN THE FIGHT ... Silva Is a Cheater

Published | Updated

Nick Diaz's trainer is calling for the UFC to overturn Anderson Silva's victory at UFC 183 after the fighter tested positive for anabolic steroids.

We spoke with Cesar Gracie who tells us ... "In my opinion it needs to be overturned because you got a guy on performance enhancing drugs."

"I get it. Silva is getting up there in age (he's 39) but if you need steroids to fight you shouldn't be fighting."

Silva won by unanimous decision this weekend ... only for the Nevada State Athletic Commission to reveal after the fight that both fighters had failed drug tests -- Silva for steroids and Diaz for weed.

"Anyone with half a brain would know weed is not a performance enhancing drug," Gracie says ... noting that Nick actually passed a separate drug test before the fight. "They make them take a test before they even license him to fight in Nevada."

Both fighters face suspensions -- but Gracie says the damage to Silva's reputation if far worse than any punishment the UFC can dish out."

[The positive test] defiantly tarnishes his legacy because people are going to look at his other fights and question if he was using steroids then too."

Published | Updated

Former UFC fighter Dave Herman tells TMZ Sports he's lucky to be alive after a violent encounter with police this weekend ... and says if he was black, he'd "probably be dead."

The video was insane -- showing cops using a taser on the 30-year-old heavyweight MMA expert during a stop in Indiana. Herman gets emotional when he tells us how the incident has affected his family.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Dept. has previously said Herman was speeding and refused to pull over. They also say Herman was aggressive during the stop. Herman says BS.

Herman also says he's POSITIVE he never kicked an officer during the incident -- though he claims an officer put a knee in his back (and joked that his back may have injured the cop's knee).

We've reached out to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Dept. for comment -- so far, no word back.

MMA Star David Herman Cops Say He Kicked an Officer During Roadside Arrest

Published | Updated

Former UFC star David Herman was hit with three felony charges Wednesday afternoon following his arrest in Indiana early Thursday morning ... including a battery charge for allegedly kicking an officer.

Herman was charged with resisting law enforcement, battery against a law enforcement officer and neglect of dependent (because he was speeding with young son in the car) ... all felonies. He also got hit with a misdemeanor resisting law enforcement charge, just for good measure.

During the arrest, Herman allegedly kicked one of the officers in the shin after another officer tased him.

As TMZ Sports previously reported, cops say Herman led them on a three-mile chase and tased him only after he approached them "in an aggressive manner."

Herman's wife, who was in the car at the time, claims he is the real victim in this incident and wants the officers charged with assault.

MMA Star Dave Herman TASED DURING ARREST [Video]

Published | Updated

Former UFC heavyweight fighter Dave Herman was hit with a taser during an arrest in Indiana this week ... and now Dave's wife has released the video she shot during the incident in which she calls out the police.

Cops say Herman had been speeding with no headlights or taillights -- and when they tried to pull him over, he led them on a 3 mile chase before finally stopping at a gas station.

During the stop, cops say Herman "approached Officers in an aggressive manner" -- so they fired the taser to take him into custody.

But Herman's wife Madeleine -- who was in the car at the time with their young son -- tells TMZ Sports she's FURIOUS over the incident and claims her husband is the real victim.

Madeleine says Dave was NOT trying to run from cops when they initially tried to pull him over -- they were merely looking for a well lit place to stop.

As for allegations Dave was being aggressive, Madeleine says that's also BS -- explaining, "Dave, not wanting armed strangers walking up behind the vehicle, especially with our infant son in tow, stepped out of the vehicle and asked them if there was something he could help them with."

Madeleine says cops overreacted and violently took her husband to the ground. He's being charged with several criminal counts including resisting arrest and battery against an officer.

Dave is still in custody -- but she's calling for the officers involved in the arrest to be charged with assault.

We reached out to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department for comment -- so far, no word back.

Jon Jones 'I'm Not a Coke Addict'

UFC champ Jon Jones is finally speaking out about his positive cocaine test ... saying he's NOT a cocaine addict ... or even a frequent user ... but admits he made a "really dumb decision."

Jones -- who checked himself into a rehab facility for substance abuse after his UFC 182 victory -- sat down with Fox Sports 1 and said the whole thing was a "really embarrassing situation."

"I think a coward would sit here and try to come up with this elaborate reason ... or try to blame something. I'm not gonna do that," Jones said during the interview set to air Monday night.

"I'm not gonna blame my friends. I'm not gonna blame pressure or stress. I'm not gonna blame anything ... but what I will say is that I messed up."

Jon Jones' Mom He Left Rehab After 1 Night

Published | Updated

UFC champ Jon Jones left rehab after one night ... this according to the fighter's mother.

Camille Jones spoke with WBNG in Binghamton, NY -- and said Jon will attend the Colts vs. Patriots game this weekend to watch his two brothers (who are on separate teams) battle it out on the field.

Camille did not explain why Jones made the decision to leave the rehab center so soon -- especially after testing positive for cocaine after his UFC 182 fight against Daniel Cormier.

His mother told WBNG she's glad he got caught in the first place.

"This stopped him in his tracks, this let him know that he may need to change some friends ... because everyone is not for you for the best," Camille said.

"Me and my husband considered [the positive test] a blessing from God that our child was able to be helped and know that he need to stop and know that he needed the assistance to stop before it came to something worse."

According to Camille, the unannounced drug test came the day after Jon was hanging with friends and "did something he shouldn't have done."

Camille says she spoke with Jon right after the positive test -- "My first question was, do you have a problem, a serious problem? And then he told me what happened. Jon is usually very honest with me, so he told me what happened. I was like, good for you ... good. You needed to be caught, it was just timing."
