Here's the deal ... the singer-songwriter played The Sphere in Las Vegas last weekend, and his set was accompanied by some images that sent the righteous souls on social media clutching their crucifixes.

One image rising over the stage was a skeleton with a huge jagged crown towering high above everything ... its mouth open in a macabre smile as the Zac Brown Band tore up the stage.

Grammy-Nominated Jubilant Sykes Found Butchered Inside L.A. Home ... Son Arrested

Jubilant Sykes -- a Grammy-nominated opera singer -- was stabbed to death inside his L.A. home Monday -- and his son was arrested in connection with the murder, according to police.

Cops said they responded to an "assault in progress" Monday night at Sykes' Santa Monica home after receiving a 911 call from an unidentified person.

When officers arrived, the 911 caller directed them inside the residence, where they found Sykes with "critical injuries consistent with a stabbing," police said. Sykes later died at the scene.

Police said his 31-year-old son, Micah, was present inside the home and arrested in connection with the murder, then booked into the L.A. County jail for suspicion of murder. He's being held on $2 million bail.

Here's the deal ... a fan named Callum Cantrill shared on social media that he and his pal spotted the controversial "super fan," Johnson Wen, at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium and alerted security. Callum said Johnson seemed to be incognito -- wearing a brown wig and mustache -- and was in the VIP early entrance line.

Cocona -- a beloved member of the Japanese girl group XG -- celebrated their 20th birthday by getting real about their gender identity -- they have come out as transmasculine and nonbinary.

Cocona also announced they had top surgery earlier this year, successfully removing their breasts. The "GALA" hitmaker did not share their updated pronouns.

Cocona shared the personal update with 3.2 million fans via the group's Instagram account alongside photos that showed them posing in an unopened black blazer that gave a glimpse of their top surgery scar. Grammy-Winning Guitarist Steve Cropper Dead At 84

Steve Cropper, a guitarist whose work was featured on some of the biggest hits of the soul era, has died.

Soulsville Foundation President and CEO Pat Mitchell Worley said Cropper's family told her the musician died in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, reports the Associated Press. Although a cause of death wasn't released, an associate of Cropper's said the guitarist had recently spent time rehabilitation facility after a fall.

Cropper started playing guitar in his early years, and he later formed a group called The Mar-Keys, which became Stax Records' house band. Several members of The Mar-Keys, including Cropper, eventually joined Booker T. and the M.G.'s, whose best-known song, "Green Onions," became a hit in 1962.

Cropper went on to provide backing instrumentation for artists like Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding, and he co-wrote Redding's hit track "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay."

The guitarist later joined The Blues Brothers revue band, appearing in the 1980 movie and its 1998 sequel "Blues Brothers 2000."

Cropper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with the rest of Booker T. and the M.G.'s, in 1992, and he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.

He was nominated for several Grammy Awards over the course of his life, winning two for Best Rhythm and Blues Song and Best Pop Instrumental Performance in 1969 and 1995, respectively.

Cropper was 84 years old.
