9:23 AM PT -- TMZ has obtained bodycam footage showing the arrest of Geyser and Mecca in Posen, Illinois.

The "Slender Man" stabber escape has taken another turn ... Morgan Geyser -- the internet horror character-inspired killer -- ran away from a group home because she was reportedly going to be barred from seeing her transgender friend.

As you know, Geyser cut off her ankle bracelet Saturday night and slipped away from the group home in Madison, Wisconsin, where she was living under the authority of the Department of Corrections. Police launched a nationwide manhunt and recaptured Geyser the very next day ... and it's now reported Geyser was found with her transgender friend, Chad "Charly" Mecca, at a truck stop in Posen, Illinois, near Chicago.

Geyser, 23, was not hit with any local charges because it would only serve to prolong her extradition back to Wisconsin, police said. An extradition hearing is slated for today in Cook County.

Tragedy has struck Richard Branson's family -- he's just announced his wife of 50 years, Joan, has died.

Richard shared the heartbreaking news Tuesday on IG ... posting a photo of Joan and calling her the "most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for."

He went on to say she was his best friend, rock, guiding light and his entire world … signing off with, "Love you forever, Joan x."

9:04 AM PT -- Mike Goforth, Division Superintendent of Wise County Schools, told TMZ Sports following the Virginia State Police’s latest update that the district will fully cooperate with law enforcement in the Travis Turner case.

"Wise County Public Schools is aware that law enforcement has filed charges against a staff member who has been on administrative leave," Goforth said.

"The individual remains on leave and is not permitted on school property or to have contact with students."

Shocking twist in the case of Travis Turner ... the missing high school football coach is a wanted man, according to Virginia State Police, after allegedly possessing child pornography.

A woman in Thailand is raising eyebrows after apparently raising from the dead ... because moments before she was set to be cremated, she started stirring, undeniably alive.

The woman was brought into a temple to be cremated ... that's when staff heard her faintly knocking on the coffin walls.

Pairat Soodthoop, the temple’s general and financial affairs manager, told the Associated Press on Monday ... “I was a bit surprised, so I asked them to open the coffin, and everyone was startled. I saw her opening her eyes slightly and knocking on the side of the coffin. She must have been knocking for quite some time.”
