TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the legendary DMC walking our way in New York City on Monday, and he didn't even let us finish our sentence ... he had just heard the news!!!

On Friday, a U.S. District Judge granted Karl Jordan Jr. an acquittal on the murder charges handed down in Feb. 2024, citing an overall lack of evidence.

A high school student got lit up with a Taser during a tense encounter with a cop on an Atlanta school bus ... and the disturbing moment was caught on camera.

The clip shows things spiraling fast -- 18-year-old Lanier Johnson-Hunt refuses to get off the school bus, despite repeated warnings from a school resource officer that he’ll be tased ... and after a brief scuffle, the threat turns real ... with the Taser deployed at point-blank range, right on the teen's chest, leaving him screaming in pain.

James Ransone’s wife is speaking out for the first time following his tragic death ... paying homage to her late husband in an emotional tribute on social media.

Jamie McPhee took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of her and James smiling with their arms wrapped around one another, with James resting his hand on her baby bump. The couple share two children together.

In her caption, Jamie writes ... "I told you I have loved you 1000 times before and I know I will love you again. You told me - I need to be more like you and you need to be more like me - and you were so right."

She continues ... "Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts - you, Jack and Violet. We are forever."

This is bananas ... a passenger at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport was caught trying to bring "nonhuman primate meat" through Customs.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said they seized the prohibited item along with some "unknown plants" and beans that were reportedly carrying pests. All the items were reportedly destroyed.

The passenger, from Congo, apparently didn't think anything of it.

Tory Lanez revealed in his first interview from prison last week that he had new evidence favorable to his appeal after his conviction for shooting Megan The Stallion, and it turns out, the rapper wasn't BS-ing, and he's now going after the former Los Angeles D.A. ... TMZ has learned.

Here's the deal ... Tory's team submitted an official report to the court with testimony from a software expert who reviewed Megan's medical records after Meg was shot by Tory that fateful night in 2020.

After the review, the expert signed the report claiming there were 60 fraudulent errors in the medical findings presented at Tory's 2022 trial by then-L.A. County District Attorney, George Gascon. As you know, Tory was convicted of shooting Megan and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Tory, though, has always maintained his innocence.

Actress Lilah Pate is firmly in her dad Jonas' corner following accusations he grabbed and shook a female production assistant on the set of "Outer Banks."

TMZ broke the story ... Jonas -- who co-created the Netflix show along with Shannon Burke and his twin brother Josh -- allegedly put his hands on a P.A. and shook her while shouting in her face in October. We were told several of the show's stars -- including Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline -- had to intervene.

What's worse, a source told us the behavior wasn't unusual for Jonas.

Lilah, who stars on the show, addressed the situation over the weekend when a fan commented on one of Lilah's TikTok videos ... they asked if Jonas yelled at her "like he did the employee."

The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It’s pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early. That’s the good news.”

According to Barry, the "bad news" is that his surgery to remove the spot will sideline him from performing in scheduled concerts for January.

Nick told host Dave Manheim that while he was a patient at Alina Lodge -- an addiction treatment center in New Jersey -- the staff refused to give him drugs. This is, of course, standard procedure for a sober clinic, but Nick wasn't taking "no" for an answer.

While promoting his 2015 film "Being Charlie," Nick spoke to the addiction and recovery podcast "Dopey" ... and he did impressions of Rob and Michele Reiner while recounting how they helped him through a bad acid trip.

Nick told host Dave Manheim ... he'd been hanging out with a friend from a drug program and he ended up taking a tab of acid. While Nick had done the drug before, this time he felt different. As he could feel things start to go awry, his friend left, leaving him to deal with it by himself.
