Aronofsky -- who directed "The Wrestler," "Requiem for a Dream" and "Pi" -- and Weisz -- who starred in "The Mummy," "The Constant Gardner" and "The Fountain" -- were together for nine years. They never married.

Reps for the former couple tell TMZ, "Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have been separated for some months. They remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in NYC."

Sources tell us the couple will seek joint custody of their 4-year-old Henry Chance.

And sources tell TMZ Rachel has been linked to "James Bond" star Daniel Craig for months. They worked together on the upcoming flick, "Dream House," in February and March of 2010.

Sources connected to the TLC reality show tell us ... "Ink" execs felt they would be "sacrificing the integrity of the show" by ignoring Kat's headline-making relationship and break-up from James in tonight's season finale.

As we previously reported, Kat flipped out a few weeks ago when she saw a preview of the finale -- which featured the relationship -- and demanded producers either pull the footage, or she would refuse to participate in future production.

Kat lost that battle -- but she did score ONE victory ... we're told producers did agree to cut some controversial footage showing Kat bad-mouthing another one of her exes, Nikki Sixx.

For the first time since news broke of their breakup, the former couple was spotted smiling and embracing on the NYC set of "Gossip Girl" today.

Las Vegas showman Jeff Beacher -- who partnered with David to bring "Beacher's Madhouse" to the Roosevelt Hotel -- tells TMZ the story floating around that David hired Jasmine to manage the cocktail waitresses at the theater ... then fired her after their relationship became public ... is flat out not true.

Beacher tells TMZ ... "We haven't yet hired any staff, or any performers. We're still building the stage."

In fact ... Beacher will gladly hire Jasmine "if she can build a rig that flies little people from one end of the theater to the other."

Arquette was on his way to do some charity work at an L.A. church yesterday, when a photog asked if he was dating rebound chick Jasmine Waltz.

Jordan and Xtina were married in 2005 and have been separated for a few months.

The couple has been separated for a few months -- just like Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

There are no plans for divorce. But it's yet another 5-year itch. Ben Harper just filed for divorce from Laura Dern after 5 years.

Aguilera and Bratman have a 2-year-old son, Max.

The Aguilera/Bratman split was first reported by Us Magazine.

Arquette explained that he and Courteney stopped having sex around one month before they started shooting "Scream 4" in Michigan ... and drifted from there.

He also claims Courteney was the one who insisted they try separating right after their 11th wedding anniversary back in June ... after she told David that she was "tired of being your mother."

David claims he still loves Courteney -- and calls her one of the most amazing people on the planet.

David is also adamant that he never cheated on Courteney before the split -- but admits he has had sex with rebound chick Jasmine Waltz ... his "one conquest."

Arquette also said he is hopeful he and Courteney can patch things up and get back together.

Courteney had no wedding ring on her left hand ... and, as we previously reported, David was seen sans ring too back on September 25.

A source close to the couple tells us the two are "still friends" and they maintain a business relationship with each other. In fact, sources tell us ... no lawyers are involved.

The couple has one child together.

David and Courteney met on the set of "Scream" sometime around 1995 ... and were married in 1999. They are currently co-starring in the upcoming "Scream" movie due out next year.

There was a hint of things to come back on September 25 when Arquette was spotted out, sans wedding ring.

UPDATE: The couple has released a statement saying, "We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

The statement continues, "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."

Back before the two power couples each called it quits -- the foursome spent a whole lotta time together throughout the years ... because Laura, Ben, Courteney and David were all best friends.

We're told the woman in question is Jasmine Waltz (right) -- if that name sounds familiar, that's because she's the girl who punched Lindsay Lohan on LiLo's birthday a few months back.

Our sources say David and Jasmine began seeing each other after David and Courteney had separated and agreed to see other people.

That said ... we're told a divorce is by no means a done deal. We've learned the couple has been living apart for several months, but there is a "real possibility" they could get back together. As one source said, "It's a work in progress."

As for why they separated, one source simply said, "Life."

It all went down at Dos Pueblos High School near Santa Barbara, CA -- where 25-year-old Katy claims she spotted and then singled out the "most popular kid" in her class -- then rubbed in the fact that he "never wanted to date" her.

Katy then poured salt in the wound by screaming, "What's up now?" ... and followed it up by dedicating her next song to him ... titiled, "You're So Gay."

Nikki was out in L.A. this weekend, where he told a photog, "You know, it's hard when you [were] just told by someone you dated for two-and-a-half years that you're the love of their life ... and then they move on so quickly."

Danielle just filed legal papers -- in which she states that Kevin Maher has "no evidence" that Danielle ever made several controversial statements about him ... including accusations that Kevin killed her dog, forced her to play Russian Roulette ... and even raped her.

As we previously reported, Maher filed a lawsuit against the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star -- claiming she did make the alleged statements ... and in doing so, she damaged his reputation to the tune of $5 million.

But Staub claims Maher has admitted to being such a scumbag in the past -- that even if she did make the statements, his reputation couldn't suffer any worse than it already has.

In fact, Staub lists several examples of Maher's alleged scumbaggery ...

According to the docs, Staub claims it's all spelled out in Maher's infamous biography, "Cop Without a Badge" ... in which Maher admits to using cocaine, has "overactive sexual proclivities," and once shoved a gun into the genitals of a man he thought was sleeping with Danielle.

As TMZ previously reported, Maher and Staub are attempting to settle their issues through mediation ... but in case that fails, the case is set to go to trial in February.
