Kim Kardashian is getting sued for a smashup she had near the Beverly Hills Hotel a couple years ago.

Rafael Linares says he was driving on Sunset Blvd when the accident happened. In the lawsuit, filed Tuesday in L.A., Linares doesn't describe the accident any further -- but goes on to say he suffered multiple injuries, and has incurred expenses for physicians and surgeons.

He also says his car was damaged ... again not much detail beyond that.

As we reported when the accident happened in March 2014 ... no one was ticketed, and Kardashian and Linares exchanged info and hugged it out.

Sources close to Kim describe the damage as "minimal" and felt the guy was totally fine. Her G Wagon suffered a slight paint scuff during the collision.

Gossip Cop first reported the lawsuit.

Salma Hayek Furious Cops Sided with Neighbor In Dog's Death

Published | Updated

Salma Hayek was outraged when cops told her they would not take action against the neighbor who shot and killed her dog ... TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... police in Yelm, Washington closed out their investigation into the death of Salma's beloved 9-year-old dog Mozart, after concluding the dog had trespassed on the neighbor's property and was trying to attack his dogs. The neighbor shot Mozart with a pellet gun to scare him off.

Cops tell us Salma couldn't believe cops were letting her neighbor skate, insisting her dogs NEVER trespassed on the guy's land.

Here's Salma's problem. Her caretaker is the one who walked the dogs everyday, and she fessed up to cops the dogs routinely moseyed onto the neighbor's property and got into it with his dogs.

It's unclear if Salma plans to press the issue, but we do know when cops first met with her after Mozart died, her lawyer was present.

Salma was determined to get to the bottom of Mozart's death ... we're told she had a necropsy performed.

Aroldis Chapman Suspended 30 Games For Dom. Incident ... 'I Won't Appeal'

Published | Updated

NY Yankees pitcher Aroldis Chapman has been suspended 30 games for his role in an alleged domestic violence incident involving his GF ... and will lose roughly $1.7 MILLION in salary.

As we previously reported, Chapman's girlfriend claimed he pushed and choked her during an argument back in October ... then went to the garage and fired several shots into the wall.

Chapman denied wrongdoing (though admitted to "poking her" in the shoulder) -- and was NOT charged with a crime ... but the MLB decided there was enough evidence to punish Chapman under the league's domestic violence policy.

Chapman issued a statement saying, "Today, I accepted a 30 game suspension from Major League Baseball resulting from my actions on October 30, 2015."

"I want to be clear, I did not in any way harm my girlfriend that evening. However, I should have exercised better judgment with respect to certain actions, and for that I am sorry."

"The decision to accept a suspension, as opposed to appealing one, was made after careful consideration."

"I made this decision in an effort to minimize the distractions that an appeal would cause the Yankees, my new teammates and most importantly, my family. I have learned from this matter, and I look forward to being part of the Yankees’ quest for a 28th World Series title."

Katt Williams Clerk Dropped N-Word ... I Did What a Black Man Has to Do

Published | Updated

Katt Williams' explanation for his latest arrest is a classic Katt tale -- accusing a store clerk of racism and outright disrespect of, not just him, but black people everywhere.

TMZ broke the story ... the comedian got arrested Monday for allegedly punching a pool supply store employee in Georgia. But Katt says the worker started the altercation by subtly accusing him of being a criminal, and then hurling a racial epithet.

As Katt put it, "He used the n-word on the last day of Black History Month." And Katt wasn't having it.

You've got to see him describe what happened next. Important note: He doesn't deny punching the guy, and Katt talks a lot about Katt in the 3rd person in this clip.

We got him on his way into an L.A. courthouse where he had a hearing for a different case -- assault with a deadly weapon in Inglewood. He entered a not guilty plea.

Man's got a lot of cases.

Jimi Hendrix Purple Crazed Over Fine Liquor

Published | Updated

11:15 AM PT: Leon's rep tells TMZ ... Leon is legally authorized to license and sell Hendrix-themed merchandise and has been doing so for years. As for the latest liquor lawsuit ... Leon's rep says Leon's not to blame, claiming some former business associates went rogue a few years back -- and, in fact, Leon is planning to sue as well.

Jimi Hendrix was all for Purple Haze, all in your brain, but his estate ain't down to push a specialty liqueur that jacked his famous song title ... according to a new lawsuit.

The company that controls the late guitar great's merchandising is going after Leon Hendrix ... one of Jimi's relatives because he's hawking something called Purple Haze Liqueur. Bottles of the berry-flavored cognac and vodka blend also feature a picture of Jimi.

Experience Hendrix wants a judge to shut down all sales for obvious reasons -- it says Leon has no authority to use the name or likeness, plus he's done this before. In 2008, Experience Hendrix blocked sales of Jimi Hendrix Electric Vodka ... which it believes Leon was behind.

EH points out Leon is kind of a black sheep in the fam, saying Jimi's father purposely left him out when he doled out control of Jimi's music and merchandising.

The keepers of all things Jimi are suing Leon and his biz partner for all their profits and to get an injunction blocking all future sales.

Scaggs tells us the whole thing has been extremely stressful for Erik, especially because he says EB still attacks him about his weight and dead mom on Twitter.

TMZ broke the story ... Erik was arrested in January for texting threatening messages to Elephant Boy. Cops say the messages read, "You're a dead mother f***er I'll break your face and strangle you."

Erik will be back in court next month.

Rick Ross You Can't Prosecute Me ... Groundskeeper Had Drugs

Published | Updated

Rick Ross just got indicted in the alleged pistol whipping of his groundskeeper, but TMZ has learned his attorney thinks there's no case here ... because Ross was acting in self-defense.

Ross' attorney, Steve Sadow, gave the court a heads up he believes Ross should be immune from criminal prosecution because the groundskeeper was committing felonies on Ross' property -- which means the rapper would be within his rights to beat up the man.

Ross has claimed Jonathan Zamudio, the groundskeeper, was partying with cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the guest house of Ross' Georgia estate.

Sadow says he will make the case that Ross was "acting in self-defense and in defense of his property when he encountered trespassers."

A grand jury handed up several charges last week ... including kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm while committing a crime.
