Steven Avery has just filed an appeal, asking a judge to throw out his conviction for the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.

Avery says the jurors were tainted, because one juror made repeated comments that he was "f***ing guilty." Avery says the juror in question also told the other jurors, "If you can't handle it why don't you tell them [the judge] and just leave."

Avery claims in new legal docs the search that ultimately produced incriminating evidence ... including blood and the key to Halbach's vehicle, was illegal. He says the scope of the search exceeded the limits set by the search warrant itself.

And he claims Halbach's vehicle was not properly sealed with tamper-proof tape, allowing cops to open and close the doors and plant evidence ... namely his blood.

Avery, who filed the docs himself, also claims his lawyer incompetently repped him ... pretty shocking.

Kris Jenner has been out of the dating game so long, the term "single" confounds her.

Kris was on "Bachelor Live" Monday night with Chris Harrison and Chris Soules and she talked about being single with 4 kids back in the day. Harrison asked her if she's single now, and she said "yes."

But our Jenner sources say she's still solid with Corey Gamble. In fact, the 2 were out together Monday night at Craig's in WeHo.

One of Lana Del Rey's stalkers is headed to jail ... because he left a trail of evidence during a bad hallucinogenic trip.

Zachary Self pled no contest to stalking. He'll serve 84 days in jail.

According to court docs, Zachary broke into Lana's Malibu pad back in November. As we previously reported, she wasn't home and construction workers found him lying on a mat in the garage.

Police traced his whereabouts after he left behind a notepad with disturbing messages professing his love for the "Blue Jeans" singer along with a "notice to appear" citation for a burglary in Kansas.

When cops looked the name on the ticket up on social media, pictures of Zachary on Lana's Malibu balcony popped up along with creepy messages. In one he claimed he was "engaged to heaven on Earth with Lana Del Rey."

Cops picked him up in December and Zachary told them he had become obsessed with Lana while under the influence of hallucinogens. His family says he's bi-polar.

Zach will be on probation for 5 years and must spend a year in a residential program. He's been ordered to stay clear of Lana for the next 10 years.

Lana's been putting away stalkers one by one. Last week, a judge ordered two others to stay clear of the singer for 3 years.

Bill Cosby will not face criminal charges in 2 alleged sexual assault cases ... one from 2008 at the Playboy Mansion, and the other against a then 17-year-old in 1965.

The L.A. County District Attorney rejected both alleged cases -- the '65 incident because the statute of limitations had run out. The 2008 case was rejected because the statute of limitations ran and there was insufficient evidence.

Chloe Goins claimed she woke up in a bedroom at the Playboy Mansion only to find her breasts were moist and Cosby was at the foot of her bed biting her toe and masturbating. Our sources say the D.A. concluded this type of allegation -- sucking someone's toes -- did not fall into a category that would extend the statute of limitations.

And there was another problem with the Goins case. She claimed the incident occurred at a Playboy Mansion summer party and Cosby had an alibi that he was out of town, plus he was not on the guest lists for any events at the Mansion that summer.

As for the other case, we're told the D.A. had problems because the alleged victim changed her story ... initially saying the incident occurred when she was 18 and later saying she was 17. That incident allegedly occurred in 1965.

Nicholas Caldwell, a founding member of "The Whispers" whose hits included "Rock Steady" has died ... he was 71 years old.

The group's manager tells TMZ Caldwell was found Tuesday night by his wife at their home in Stockton, CA. We're told Nicholas has had heart problems in the past and had a pacemaker inserted about a year ago but it's unclear at this point exactly what led to his death.

Caldwell had also taken a break from the group over the last year to get better in hopes of returning to the stage with the group's other three members.

The Whispers started in 1963 and the group's other hits included "And The Beat Goes On" and "It Just Gets Better With Time."

Riley Martin, one of the hosts on Howard Stern's Sirius XM channel -- and a regular on his main show -- has died at 69.

Riley's longtime producer, Eron, tells us Martin passed away in Bethlehem, PA a few days before Christmas. Martin famously claimed the Biaviian alien race abducted him several times. He stuck to his guns about that every time Howard, or anyone else, grilled him about it.

Eron wouldn't say what caused the death, but on his Facebook page he'd recently mentioned being in the hospital battling an ongoing illness. Eron posted a FB message to fans, saying Riley wanted them to know he will see them again in the future.

NFL vet Shaun Smith set off a firestorm when he tweeted a photo of his handgun along with what sounds like a thinly veiled threat to his haters, but he says everyone's got him wrong.

The ex-Bengals and Chiefs defensive lineman says he was going back and forth with fans on Twitter about KC's upcoming playoff game, when things got a little heated. He tells TMZ Sports, "Everyone was talking all this macho stuff."

Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Antonio Brown had an early Xmas gift for a local high school football team -- taking the entire squad to a screening of "Concussion" ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Brown hooked up the kids at Clairton High School in Pennsylvania -- a team he's essentially adopted since joining the Steelers.

Clairton head coach Wayne Wade tells us ... Brown organized a bus to take the players to a nearby theater and treated the kids to a night at the movies.

Wayne says Brown is always doing cool stuff for the high school -- "A couple years ago he paid for the whole team to go to Dave N Busters after the season."

So, why Clairton??

"He loves the whole small town, small team, small program thing. We are the winningest program in Pennsylvania, piled up 66 wins in a row (Pennsylvania record), won state championships."

Drake Bell found himself behind bars Monday after cops busted him for driving under the influence.

Law enforcement tells TMZ the actor was driving in Glendale, CA when an officer saw him swerving and speeding after abruptly stopping at a red light. We're told Bell was driving 55 in a 35 and when cops pulled him over, they noticed a smell of alcohol coming from the car.

The kid who Kendrick Lamar plucked out of a crowd may become a big star, because Jas Prince, the guy who discovered Drake, happened to be in the crowd.

The lucky kid, who goes by Corporate Dough, got a false start when Kendrick pulled him onstage Sunday at the Day for Night festival in Houston ... he forgot the lyrics to Kendrick's song. But he went on to slay by freestyling his own lyrics.

Corporate Dough tells us, Jas Prince was so impressed he approached him and they exchanged information.

Raven-Symone couldn't get the real Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to celebrate with her for her big 30th birthday, so she opted for the next best thing.

Kim Kardashian broke the Apple app store.

Kim launched Kimoji's Monday -- Kim-themed emojis -- and the response was crazy. So many people tried downloading it at once, the Apple app store couldn't handle the tidal wave and started crashing.

At one point today it was getting 9,000 downloads per millisecond.

We're told the Apple tech team swooped in and shored it up so it didn't fully crash.

As for the app ... it will set you back $1.99.
