Caron Butler I'm Eating My Life Story!!! Book Turned Into Delicious Cake

Published | Updated

How do you make years of hardship, arrests, and near homelessness easy to swallow?

Make it into a delectable cake!!!

That's what NBA star Caron Butler did ... or had done for him ... getting surprised for his 36th birthday with a cake made to look like a copy of his 1st book 'Tuff Juice.'

The cake was made by Bree's Cakes ... an L.A. based bakery business that has catered to big celebs like DeMar DeRozan and The Game.

We spoke with Bree herself who tells us Caron's cake cost about $350 -- not bad -- and took over 6 hours to make.

They presented the confectionery genius to Butler after the Kings played the Jazz recently and you can see in the video ... he was ecstatic.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Bounty On 2 Heads ... and a DiMaggio Bat

Published | Updated

The Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum in NYC is baffled over the recent theft of 2 shrunken heads and a Joe DiMaggio bat -- and now it's offering up a cash reward to catch the crooks.

The bat was from the Yankee great's historic 56-game hitting streak -- and the heads are from an Amazon tribe, which was probably on a streak too. Employees noticed the items were gone Wednesday, and police have no leads right now, but they're not ruling out an inside job.

Ripley's tells us there's now a $2,000 reward for any info leading to an arrest and conviction.

The mini skulls -- worth, believe it or not, $19,000 and $15,000 -- will be replaced by other shrunken heads. We're told they have plenty in storage. Not the case for Joe D's bat ... that's irreplaceable.

For now, Ripley's is replacing it with an autographed Michael Jordan bat from his time with the Birmingham Barons. Maybe the first time MJ is actually a downgrade.

Kanye West's pop-up shop in NYC has people coming out in hoards ... and the scene is so crazy, cops had to shut down the entire block.

Yeezy opened up the doors to his "The Life of Pablo" collection Friday afternoon to a line that stretched around the entire block and then some. We're told store employees are strictly enforcing a 2 items per person limit.

Asking Alexandria Bassist I Survived Rolling My Truck, But Lost $50k Worth of Stuff

Published | Updated

Sam Bettley -- bassist for rock band Asking Alexandria -- lost just about everything but his life in a truck accident Thursday while moving cross country.

Bettley was driving through Ozona, Texas when the moving truck's tire blew out, causing him to swerve off the highway and flip over twice down a grass embankment. Once he realized he still had all his limbs, Bettley immediately ripped out his iPod cord to make sure no one got to hear his band's soon-to-be released album "The Black."

He went to a hospital and got some fluids, but amazingly ... Bettley broke ZERO bones and escaped with a few bruises and some back pain.

His stuff wasn't so lucky. He thinks he lost about $50,000 worth of instruments, art, furniture and electronics -- pretty much everything he owns but his bed.

Migos Rapper Offset Arrested By Mistake ... The Court Screwed Up My Case!

Published | Updated

Migos rapper Offset is out of jail after being arrested by mistake Thursday in Atlanta ... TMZ has learned.

According to a clerk at the Atlanta Municipal Court, when Migos was pulled over for having tinted windows, the cops saw an outstanding warrant and busted him. He stayed in jail overnight and posted a $1,900 bond Friday morning.

But the rapper went right back to court to argue he paid a $316 suspended license ticket back in December which should have settled the matter. The court tells TMZ ... Offset was right and never should have been arrested.

He should get his $1,900 back in the next few weeks. The clerk says Offset still got a new ticket for the tinted windows, though his attorney says that was tossed as well.

ANKLES ON LOCK

Rick Ross is the perfect person to boost Meek Mill's spirits during his 90 day house arrest sentence ... since Rozay already knows what it's like to be on ankle bracelet lockdown.

They didn't work on any music -- remember, the judge said that's a no-no for Meek. Instead, our sources say they just hung out and Rick wanted to make sure Meek doesn't go stir crazy with such a long stretch ahead of him. He's only 17 days into the 90.

By the way ... Ross had a hearing Thursday where the judge in his pistol-whipping case granted him permission to travel overseas, but the ankle bracelet has to go with him.

Giancarlo Stanton 'Barry Bonds Is a Beast But There Was No HR Derby'

Published | Updated

Giancarlo Stanton says reports that Barry Bonds beat him in a secret home run derby are NOT TRUE -- though he does say the ex-MLB star can still crush the ball like a BEAST!!

We reached out to the Miami Marlins superstar to find out what REALLY went down at the Marlins practice facility on Wednesday. Here's what he told us:

"False!!! He was hitting homers with us but it wasn't a home run derby. He was on my team for hitting drills. He is still a beast. But no home run derby vs. me. Media is wrong."

"Their story is we were hitting extra at batting practice on the back fields off a curveball machine. Getting work in. 5 of us. Last round we split into groups to face each other in a situational hitting competition with imaginary runners on base and the losing team picks up the balls. Not a home run derby."

"We added Bonds to make it 3 on 3. Bonds was on my team. But the fact that he could jump in there and still hit homers is unreal. And crazy to watch."

"He's gone in there and hit with Dee Gordon before as well as during hitting drills. Doing the same it's just they tried to blow it up since I was there as if we were head to head and he beat me ha. Not even close."

BALLIN'

While Kanye's slashing his prices, the competition's going up -- WAY up, as in $4 million for a single pair of sneakers, and for some reason people are lining up to buy 'em.

The shoe is called "The Fire Monkey," but it's really just Dwyane Wade's Li-Ning Way of Wade 4 ... with several hundred carats of white diamonds and sapphires strategically added!

The ridiculous baller design is a collabo between Bicion, owned by "Growing Up Hip Hop" star Egypt Criss (Pepa's daughter) and Mache Customs.

A Bicion employee posted a brief peek at a pair that's only 60% completed. Our shoe sources say that was enough for 2 potential buyers -- from the Middle East and China -- who are flying to NYC next week to see the finished product.

Proceeds from the eventual sale will support the Soles4Souls charity.

He only has one requirement for the clubs he'll be hitting ... that they're "straight in the hood."

Considering his ongoing legal battles with his estranged wife over money ... this looks like a great way to keep making a dollar out of 15 cents.

Tyga Crew Brawls with EDM DJs In Stage Pissing Match

Published | Updated

Tyga's cruise ship performance ended with a bang, a full-on fight between his hype man, DJ S.B. and one of the guys from EDM trio Cash Cash -- what's up for debate is ... who started it.

Things went south early Saturday morning aboard the Inception at Sea cruise festival. Tyga started his set more than an hour late ... which eventually postponed Cash Cash, which was going on after him.

Sources close to Tyga tell TMZ ... when he wrapped up, the Cash Cash guys began unplugging S.B.'s gear. That sparked a verbal dispute, and then Jean Paul Makhlouf allegedly threw the first punch.

Now, the Cash Cash guys admit there was a verbal altercation, but claim Tyga's crew struck first. Makhlouf suffered a concussion, injured kidney and several bruises, according to his rep. Cash Cash was unable to perform.

No one's talking lawsuit ... yet, anyway.

We're told Tyga had nothing to do with the fight, he was already offstage.

'Fast & Furious 8' Horse Killed By Flying 'Iceberg'

Published | Updated

A horse went down like the Titanic near the "Fast 8" set in Iceland after gale force winds sent a fake iceberg flying into a paddock where the animal was grazing.

Local police tell us the horse, named Jupiter, had to be euthanized. Strong winds sent a portion of a plastic iceberg -- a set piece for the movie -- flying and it struck the horse, breaking its leg. Another horse was also injured but is expected to recover.

Neither was involved in the production -- just a case of wrong time and place.

We're told production called the horse owner and broke the news but said insurance would cover the cost of the horse and fence repair.

Forever 21 Pulls 'Rapey' Tee After Customer Complaints

Forever 21 has pulled a controversial t-shirt after getting a huge backlash from consumers who called the gear "shameful" and "rapey."

The graphic tee featured a slogan that seemingly referred to sexual consent: "Don't Say Maybe If You Want To Say No." The Internet response was overwhelmingly negative, with Twitter users accusing Forever 21 of cracking jokes at the expense of rape victims.

A rep for Forever 21 tells TMZ it took immediate action to yank the shirt once the feedback came pouring in, and added ... "We sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by the product."
