Jasmine Fiore Memorial Photos

Published | Updated

Jasmine Fiore's friends and family gathered at a ranch in Santa Cruz, CA on Sunday -- and the private ceremony was decorated with a bunch of old photos of the former model.

We're told the emotional memorial was held at the estate of Joanna Miller -- granddaughter of Walt Disney -- because Jasmine was good friends with Joanna's son.

We're told a larger, public memorial for Jasmine will be held on October 4 in Las Vegas.

Germans Accused of Exploiting 'Madagascar'

Published | Updated

The Challenge: Try to get through this post without getting the song "I Like to Move It" stuck in your head ... we dare you.

The Story: The horribly catchy "Move It" song is at the center of a pretty nasty legal battle involving some Americans ... some Germans ... and part of Madagascar.

The US-based record company who owns the rights to the 1993 hit claims some German musicians made a cover version of the song without proper permission back in 2005 -- right after the original song was featured in the 2005 movie "Madagascar."

In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in NY, the Americans claim ze Germans tried to capitalize on the song's recaptured fame by selling the unlicensed cover here in the good ole US of A.

Now, the Americans are suing for damages and demanding ze Germans "destroy all copies of the Infringing Records."

The Conclusion: We're done. Now go listen to the song.

Dane/Gayheart Sue Over Nude Romp Video

Published | Updated

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart are looking to settle the score with the website that published their naked non-sex threesome tape.

Dane and Gayheart filed a lawsuit today in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming Gawker.com had not only unlawfully posted almost 4 minutes of the private video that was shot behind closed doors, but "maliciously" distributed the video and included nude shots of the fabulous threesome -- the third wheel was former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche.

Dane and Gayheart want more than $1 million in damages. Their lawyer -- legal pit bull Marty Singer -- is also asking for an injunction to pull the plug on the video.

UPDATE: 5:30 PM ET:
Gawker's publisher, Nick Denton, just twittered his response to the lawsuit: "To quote the great Marty Singer -- Eric Dane's lawyer -- if you don't want a sex tape on the internet, 'don't make one!'"

Travolta First Witness -- Smoking Gun to Follow

Published | Updated

We've learned John Travolta will be the first witness called today in the extortion trial over his son's death -- and after John steps down from the stand, there will be a legal dogfight in the courtroom over what could be the smoking gun in the case.

Sources say Travolta will testify for less than two hours. When he finishes, we're told defense lawyers will mount an objection to the introduction of a secret videotape which allegedly shows the attempted extortion played out.

The video was shot by authorities in the Bahamas. It shows Travolta's lawyers listening attentively as the alleged $25 million extortion demand is laid out on the table.

Prosecutors say former state senator/attorney Pleasant Bridgewater and paramedic Tarino Lightbourne threatened to release an essentially irrelevant document connected to Jett's death unless Travolta anted up.

We're told one video features Bridgewater and another vid puts the spotlight on Lightbourne.

Lawsuit: Aerosmith Not Allowed to Suck

Published | Updated

Steven Tyler and his bum shoulder will be gyrating on stage with the rest of Aerosmith next month in Hawaii -- and according to a court order, he's required not to suck at it.

Aerosmith will be performing concerts on October 18 and 20 in the Aloha State after losing a class action lawsuit back in July -- which was filed after the band canceled a 2007 show in Maui.

According to a clause in the settlement agreement, the gigs have to be the same "quality, type and duration" as a regular kick-ass Aerosmith concert -- which includes all aspects of the show, down to the "stage, lighting and sound quality."

Normally this wouldn't be a problem -- but the band was forced to cancel the rest of their 2009 tour in August after Tyler fell off stage at a concert and broke his shoulder ... so he isn't exactly in tip top shape.

Brandee Faria, the lead council for the suit, tells us, "They know they can't come out and do a 30-minute gig ... because I'll be there watching."

Irish Fighting Over Lady Gaga

Published | Updated

Lady Gaga is in the middle of a million dollar lawsuit messier than her blood-soaked VMA performance.

An Irish entertainment company called "Grooveyard" claims they were looking to book talent for October concerts in Belfast and Dublin, when they struck a deal with a NY-based company claiming to rep Lady Gaga.

In the lawsuit, Grooveyard claims they shelled out $320,000 to book Gaga -- but now they believe the guy who took the check may not rep Gaga after all. Here's why:

Grooveyard claims after they began promoting Gaga's shows -- mega-promoters AEG Live hit them with a cease and desist letter, stating AEG has the sole authority to book Lady G.

So now, Grooveyard is pissed, confused ... and demanding their money back in a million-dollar lawsuit filed in NY State court.

What's the lesson here? Don't give someone $320,000 unless you know -- for sure -- who they are.

The documents are very specific: "One photo showed both naked women embracing while looking at the camera. In another photo, Dr. Eroshevich is sitting between Anna Nicole Smith's legs while Anna...was in a more reclined position.

In the third photo, Anna Nicole Smith has her ankles on each of Dr. Eroshevich's shoulders while they are holding hands and their clasped hands are resting in the area of Anna Nicole Smith's vagina posing for the camera."

More than a year ago we saw a photo of Anna Nicole and Dr. Eroshevich, naked in a bathtub with a sex toy nearby. We did not publish the photo.
