It's official ... Dustin Johnson is OUT of the Masters.

The PGA superstar says he injured his back Wednesday falling down stairs at the house he's staying at near Augusta ... but tried to soldier through the pain Thursday morning.

Johnson is the #1 ranked player in the world and was the heavy favorite to win the tournament.

Johnson took some warm-up shots at the driving range -- but cut it short. He was seen holding his back in pain afterwards.

He even went to the 1st hole and tried to go -- but decided to throw in the towel.

Jones' story is incredible. The ex-North Carolina defensive end lost feeling in his legs at age 15 and was diagnosed with the rare complex regional pain syndrome ... forcing him to slowly learn how to walk again.

After years of hospital visits and physical therapy, Jones' condition improved enough to return to the football field and play 3 seasons at UNC before deciding to go pro to provide for his family ... and his first goal is getting them out of the projects in North Carolina.

Dustin Johnson is taking some cuts -- hoping he can fight through the pain and play at The Masters Thursday.

The 32-year-old says he injured his back Wednesday falling down stairs at the home he's staying at in Augusta and was unsure if he was going to have to withdraw from the tournament.

Johnson hit the range this morning and took some swings before cutting the session short and holding his back.

But a short time later, he grabbed his clubs and went back to the practice range. He clearly looks uncomfortable, but will try to tough it out.

Chipper Jones says his knees took so much punishment during his Hall of Fame baseball career, he can't even play in an adult softball league these days.

The 44-year-old spent 19 years in the Bigs -- and tells TMZ Sports he underwent SEVEN knee surgeries.

"My knees are shot man," Jones says ... while explaining why he won't join a rec team.

We already knew about 3 operations on a torn ACL in left knee (2010), torn meniscus in right knee (2011) torn meniscus in left knee (2012) ... but no word on the other 4 procedures.

Mama June's size 4 jeans -- she claims -- were already falling off her slimmed-down frame Monday in Midtown NYC.

June says she's lost about 300 lbs and undergone several painful plastic surgeries ... and in this video it looks like just walking is causing her pain. Unclear if her foot issues are related to the surgeries -- she was only rocking inch-high sandals.

But yeah, she's gonna need new jeans if this keeps up ... or is it down?

As we reported, she suffers from placenta accreta -- a potentially life-threatening condition caused when the blood vessels and other parts of the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall.

Kim underwent surgery on her uterus to correct the problem, but it was unsuccessful.

Pretty obvious now why Eric Clapton had to cancel his L.A. concerts -- the rock legend was rolling in a wheelchair as he jetted out of town.

We got Clapton heading into LAX Wednesday ... a few days after he had to pull the plug on a couple of weekend shows due to severe bronchitis. The illness has clearly knocked him for a loop.

One of Eric's daughters held his hand as he was wheeled to his gate. He's rescheduled the L.A. shows, and it's unclear when he'll be able to get back on the road.

Devon Still says he's BURSTING WITH HAPPINESS thanks to his daughter, Leah, celebrating 2 years of being in remission from cancer ... and says they finally have a sense of normal back in their lives.

A former contestant on "America's Next Top Model" was one of several people shot at an apartment complex in Houston ... and we've confirmed the model's in critical condition in intensive care.

We've confirmed Brandy Rusher's one of the victims, a former contestant on 'ANTM.' 2 people were reportedly killed and 4 others were shot.

There's a manhunt underway for the suspects. The incident went down Sunday night when a car drove up to the complex and opened fire with a high-powered rifle.

Antonio Banderas had a heart attack earlier this year ... and it required surgery that left 3 stents in his arteries.

Antonio made the announcement over the weekend while speaking to Spanish media in Malaga, Spain ... telling them he suffered the attack on Jan. 26. He says he's doing better now and that "it wasn't serious and hasn't caused any damage."

The 56-year-old actor -- who visited a Swiss clinic for the procedure -- adds ..." it hasn't been as dramatic as some have written."

LA Fitness spas are so nasty and overrun with dangerous bacteria, sitting in one can put you in the hospital for a week ... according to a new lawsuit.

A New York man is suing the health club for $2.5 MILLION for allegedly giving him Legionnaires' disease -- which led to severe pneumonia -- after he used its spa on November 30, 2016. According to the docs ... the man became violently ill shortly afterward and ended up in the hospital for 5 days.

The man claims the spa was contaminated with Legionella bacteria because the club failed to keep it sanitary ... and the Nassau County Health Dept. found several violations in the spa and pool and shut it down.

The man's suing for making him sick and all his pain and suffering.

Gabriel Iglesias -- aka Fluffy -- put his tour on hold to save his life, and now it's clear what's he's been doing to get healthy ... boxing.

Iglesias canceled some stops on his hugely successful comedy tour earlier this month citing health and emotional issues. Well, now we've learned, Fluffy's been hitting the gym with celeb boxing trainer Ricky Funez and he's already dropped over 20 pounds.

At the time he stopped his tour, he weighed more than 360 lbs.

We're told Fluffy puts on the gloves 5x a week for 2 hours at a time ... putting in work in the ring and on the speed bag ... his goal is to shed 50 more pounds before hitting the road again.

Funez is no stranger to training celebs ... Justin Bieber, Floyd Mayweather and Mike Epps have all rolled through his Ten Goose Boxing in the valley.

47-year-old Brett Favre says he KNOWS he still has the arm to compete in the NFL ... but he just doesn't wanna get hit anymore.

The ex-NFL star says he's flattered by ATL Falcons CB Robert Alford -- who strongly feels Favre could make a comeback after their workout in Louisiana this week ... but it ain't happening.

"I could still make the throws," Favre tells TMZ Sports ... "If they promise they won't hit me, I'll play."

There's more ... Favre says he's far more concerned about the longterm effects of concussions and is invested in multiple companies -- including Prevacus and Brock USA -- in the hopes of preventing and treating brain injuries.

Favre says he feels it's his "duty" to try and make the game better and safer for future NFL players and he's touring around with Sqor Sports in hopes of doing just that.

But, when it comes to his own family members playing the game he loves, Brett says he would "strongly discourage" his grandsons from playing football based on the medical information he has today.

"Yeah, you may make a good salary ... but what happens in the end if you have enough concussions? It may be a tragic end."

Suge Knight is back in the hospital for a condition that has been dogging him for 2 years ... blood clots.

We're told Suge -- who's facing murder charges for running over someone in 2015 at Tam's Burgers in Compton -- is at USC Medical Center.

Suge has been in solitary confinement and has complained the conditions have compromised his health. He's been in and out of the hospital while his trial drags on.

'Harry Potter' actor Jim Tavaré is slowly recovering from the car accident that sent him to ICU for 2 weeks, and this week he got a dose of love from his pooch.

For the first time since the accident, Jim was taken outside of the hospital in a wheelchair to be reunited with his dog, Mr Kippy, who was more than ecstatic to see his master.

Mr Kippy had been in the car during Jim's head-on collision. Both miraculously survived ... the dog more unscathed than Jim, who is still mending from a broken neck and several other broken bones, as well as collapsed lungs.

He already looks better than he did weeks ago.
