Drake I Didn't Promise 'Marvin's Room' Girl a Dime

Published | Updated

Rapper Drake thinks the woman who is suing him for royalties from his hit song "Marvin's Room" is entitled to the amount of money she's already received --- zero dollars and zero cents.

Ericka Lee -- who provided the voice of the girl on voicemail for the song -- filed a lawsuit last month claiming Drake promised a co-writing credit and split of the profits on the hit song ... as well as claiming Drake sent her texts saying the song was "s**t without you."

Drake filed his response last week, saying he never promised her a dime and that "she consented to the use of her voice in the song 'Marvin’s Room' for no compensation."

Drake also says the two never had a romantic relationship, as she claims, and he never threatened her over her complaints about getting paid for the song.

A judge has yet to rule.

Paula Deen My Ex-General Manager Was Trying to Extort Me!

Published | Updated

Paula Deen claims the ex-general manager of her restaurant who is suing for sexual harassment tried to extort her by demanding more than a million bucks ... or face "ruin."

TMZ has obtained Paula's response to the lawsuit filed against her and her brother Bubba by Lisa Jackson, the former General Manager of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, Georgia.

In the response, Paula included a letter from Lisa's lawyer, who wrote bluntly, Lisa would not file the lawsuit and keep everything secret if Paula forked over $1.25 million.

Lisa's lawyer adds, "If we are unable to settle, the complaint will not be quietly filed. I am making arrangements for a press conference on the day of filing."

Paula is asking for a gag order, prohibiting everyone in the case from blabbing to the media. In her motion for a gag order, Paula's lawyer says Lisa's strategy has been clear -- "Pay or I will ruin you."

Lisa claims Bubba engaged in a campaign of terror, subjecting her to porn, kissing and spitting on her, making racist and sexist jokes, and on and on.

Paula denies all of Lisa's allegations. As TMZ first reported, Lisa sent Paula a letter 3 months before she quit, praising Bubba and telling Paula how much he helped her become an independent woman.

Warren Sapp I'm No Deadbeat Dad!

As TMZ first reported, Sapp's ex-wife filed documents in Florida saying the former NFL star owed her $728,100 in back child support and alimony.

But sources close to Sapp tell TMZ he's current on his child support and that to Warren, his kids "always come first."

However, like we've seen with so many retired sports stars, we're told Sapp feels his alimony is too high since his playing days are over and the paychecks he gets as an analyst just don't stack up.

Sapp has filed docs to have his alimony lowered, but a judge has yet to rule.

Estate lawyers are anticipating a lawsuit by Tohme against the estate for the money he claims he's owed, and the Estate wants to shut him down before a suit is filed.

The Estate is also asking for damages.

BTW, Michael fired Tohme 3 months before he died.

Katy & Russell No Prenup, No Regrets

Published | Updated

Katy Perry and Russell Brand never entertained the idea of signing a prenup -- and if they could do it all over again ... they wouldn't have changed a thing, sources close to the couple tell TMZ.

According to sources, Katy and Russell's marriage happened so fast, they never really had the opportunity to summon their lawyers and hash out a prenup ... nor did either really believe they needed one.

We’re told both felt comfortable one wouldn’t screw the other in the event of a divorce -- they both knew where the other person stood on money, life, religion ... everything.

TMZ broke the story ... Russell refused to accept $20 million of Katy's money he was entitled to as part of the divorce -- exactly half the money she made during the course of their marriage.

Sources tell us, Russell was never a materialistic person and never spent much -- he never got into entertainment for the money.

As one source put it, "Russell is a very simple person who doesn’t need much to make him happy."

The source adds, “He would never take money that [Katy] earned. That’s not Russell. And if it was the other way around, Katy wouldn’t have taken it either. They respect each other too much."

Where is Hollywood and what have you done with it?!?!

In the docs, Busey indicates he might owe money to everyone from the IRS ... to various lawyers ... UCLA Medical Center ... Wells Fargo ... L.A. County Waterworks Districts ... and a storage company.

He also notes that he might owe money to a woman named Carla Loeffler, who sued Busey for allegedly attacking her at a Tulsa airport back in May.

Interestingly, we shot Gary out in Malibu on Monday -- a day before he filed -- and he didn't seem all that fazed by the whole bankruptcy thing ... dancing his face off in a parking lot.

Published | Updated

NFL legend Warren Sapp has filed documents to try and lower his alimony and child support payments to his ex-wife -- and it's no wonder ... she claims he's fallen behind in his payments to the tune of $728,100!!!

According to court documents filed in Florida, as part of his divorce judgment back in 2007, Sapp was ordered to pay $15,000/month in support for his two kids and another $45,000/month in alimony.

But Sapp's ex, Jamiko, claims that since March 2010, he hasn't been following the terms of the judgment. She claims he's been paying random amounts each month and NOTHING at all for two of the months.

Jamiko claims Warren's missed payments amount to $728,100 and filed a motion asking a judge to enforce their divorce agreement.

In October 2011, Sapp filed documents of his own ... asking a judge to lower his monthly payments.

A judge has yet to rule on either request.

We reached out to a rep for Warren -- nothing back.

But Drake's rep says, "This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct."

The rep also claims Lee consented to have her voice used in “Marvin’s Room” without compensation ... adding, "Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court."

Drake Dumping Massive Miami Condos ... From 'I'm on One' Video

Published | Updated

Drake is trying to unload 2 massive luxury beach condos he owns in Miami, TMZ has learned -- and you might recognize them ... because they're featured in the rapper's music video for "I'm on One."

Drake put the properties up for sale last week -- located right next door to each other in Miami's ritzy Marquis highrise -- listing one for $1.9 million and the other for $599,000. Drake combined the two into one MASSIVE condo, and lived in both simultaneously.

The larger one is a sprawling 3,800 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The "smaller" one-bedroom condo is still gigantic ... at 1,675 square feet.

Drake purchased the properties together in January 2011 for a combined price of $1.903 million. So, if Drake gets his asking price ... he'll make $596,000 in profit (even though no one ever gets their asking price).

But still, it's pretty awesome -- considering all the other famous people who've been forced to sell their real estate at massive losses ... including Beyonce, Terrell Owens and Chris Tucker.
