'Real World's' Puck Badly Injured in Car Wreck

Published | Updated

Puck from "The Real World: San Francisco" is hospitalized in San Diego following a terrifying car wreck that left the reality star and his 8-year-old son seriously injured ... this according to sources close to the family.

We're told Puck was driving down Route 79 on Friday to go on a father-son fishing trip, when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his car.

The car rolled down an embankment and landed upside down in a creek. Sources tell us Puck -- real name David Rainey -- was trapped, but he managed to free his son, who flagged down some help.

The two were transported to nearby hospitals where doctors discovered Puck had broken bones in both feet, his right hand, his neck ... and fractured his sternum and clavicle.

We're told his son had bruised several internal organs in the wreck -- he also suffered major damage to his liver.

Puck's son has since been released from the hospital -- but Puck is expected to remain hospitalized for at least another week.

MTV Accused of Trashing 'The Hills' Pad

Published | Updated

The people behind "The Hills" are being sued for allegedly trashing the hell out of a rental home where they taped the show -- all because of a nasty war between Doug Reinhardt and his landlord.

It all began when Reinhardt -- Paris Hilton's boyfriend -- sued his landlord back in September, claiming the guy stiffed him out of $21k from a security deposit Doug put down on a Hollywood Hills home featured on the MTV reality show.

But now, the landlord is firing back claiming Reinhardt broke his contract when he let MTV shoot "The Hills" inside the home without permission. The landlord also claims Reinhardt and MTV caused "substantial physical and other damage" to the home when taping the show.

The landlord is going after Doug, MTV and Viacom for damaging the home and invading his privacy -- plus he's accusing MTV of trespassing. He's asking for unspecified damages and attorney's fees.

Doug's rep tells us he has photographic evidence proving he didn't trash the house ... and there was "no prohibitions to filming" in his contract. The rep said the lawsuit was filed without merit.

'Jersey Shore' Producers -- Hunting in Miami

Published | Updated

There's a fist pump warning in Florida -- TMZ has learned the people behind "Jersey Shore" have been checking out the beaches of Miami for the perfect spots for Season 2.

TMZ obtained a letter sent from the producers of "Jersey Shore" to the owner of Miami's Mynt Lounge -- asking for clearance to shoot footage inside the club in March and April.

The letter says 495 Productions is "currently researching Miami Beach as a possible location" for Season 2 and "won't be able to shoot the show on Miami Beach unless we're able to shoot in the hottest clubs."

But sources close to the show tell TMZ "Jersey Shore" has not committed to one city yet -- and even though they've sent out feelers to a bunch of different places, they're still deciding between 9 other cities both inside and outside of the US.

'Idol' Judge Accused of Stealing Dance Show

Published | Updated

Randy Jackson isn't used to stealing the show -- but according to a new lawsuit, that's exactly what he did with "America's Best Dance Crew."

The Dawg and MTV are being sued by a guy named Dwight McGhee -- who claims the two powerhouses ripped off his idea for a reality show about a dance crew ... called "International Breakerz League."

According to the lawsuit, filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, McGhee claims he pitched his show idea -- which he calls "uncannily similar" to ABDC -- to MTV back in 2004.

Fast forward four years later: ABDC premieres on MTV ... and McGhee is pissed, claiming he and MTV struck an "implied" contract when he pitched his concept.

Now, McGhee wants Randy and MTV to pay more than $2,000,000 for his trouble. Good luck with that.

No immediate comment from Jackson or MTV.

'Jersey Shore's' Angelina -- Not So Fast!

Published | Updated

"Jersey Shore" alleged cast member Angelina is far from being a sure thing for Season 2 -- even though she says she signed a new contract.

Sources involved in the negotiation tell TMZ that the contract Angelina signed is actually a holding deal -- meaning she's agreed to appear on the show, but MTV still has an option to exercise the contract -- or not.

Translation -- Angelina received a holding fee, but MTV can decide down the line whether they want her on the show. If they don't, Angelina will walk away with her holding money -- and that's it.

MTV -- smartly we might add -- is hedging its bet as they map out Season 2 production. The network might be interested in our TMZ poll -- 87% of our readers say they don't want Angelina back.

'Jersey Shore' Cast -- All for One, One for All

Published | Updated

The "Jersey Shore" cast will all be paid the same for season 2 of the MTV show, sources connected with the negotiations tell TMZ.

We're told it was important the producers wanted to avoid infighting among the cast ... at least on the subject of money -- so Pauly D, The Situation, Snooki and the gang will all be paid exactly the same.

As we first reported, the cast negotiated their deals like the cast of "Friends" -- either they all got paid the same ... or nobody got paid.

We already posted that Vinnie took the $10,000 per episode offer, so we're assuming the price was right for the rest of the cast as well.

A rep for MTV had no comment.
