TMZ has confirmed that Owen Wilson was taken to the hospital Sunday in Los Angeles.

Santa Monica Police issued the following statement to TMZ: "On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10 PM, officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."

TMZ has learned the 911 call came in at 11:59 AM to the L.A. Fire Department.

Citing medical privacy laws, they would not release any additional information, nor would they comment on why he was transported.

"Pursuit of Happyness" star Thandie Newton battled bulimia for a year.

The tiny actress told People that her eating disorder started when she was a teen ballet dancer, and that she ate "nothing but cottage cheese" in order to stay thin.

Years later, after a string of emotionally abusive relationships, Newton had an eating disorder relapse. Her bulimia was so severe that she has "scars on my knuckles from where I put my fingers down my throat."

It wasn't until she went to a therapist years later that she "made the connection between shame and self abuse."

"Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts successfully underwent surgery to treat breast cancer yesterday, and the 46-year-old GMA gabber is reportedly already home from the hospital. This past Tuesday, Roberts announced on-air that she was diagnosed with the disease, and revealed that GMA film critic Joel Siegel's battle with cancer prompted her to get checked out.

Her revelation resulted in an outpouring of support -- and an increase in women seeking mammograms and breast exams.

The "Good Girl Gone Bad," has her legs insured for one million dollars, no word yet if that new Hawaiian silky weave she's sportin' is also insured.

Rihanna's publicist confirmed that the diva accidentally ran into a chair -- on her very first day of vacation! The singer will have to stay off her feet for a minimum of two weeks, but will do her Dallas show from a chair. What a trooper!

TMZ has learned audiences at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood were shocked and awed last week, after axed Season One "American Idol" co-host Brian Dunkleman (memba him? no?) went on a tirade against Ryan Seacrest. Girls behaving badly!

During his set, Dunkleman, now an alleged comedian, poked fun at his stint on "Idol," but when he began making inappropriate comments like, "If wishes came true Ryan Seacrest would have AIDS," the laughter stopped faster than it does at a screening of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry."

We're told the sad sap went on to spew that Seacrest "probably already has AIDS." Because, really, what's funnier than incurable life-threatening epidemics?! Luckily, once Dunkleman was done with his vicious diatribe, other comics like Godfrey brought life back into the room by actually being funny!

In case you thought rehab was just for twentysomethings, TMZ has learned that 44-year-old Brigitte Nielsen checked into rehab a few weeks ago -- and is getting out in the next 24 hours. Clean and sober and completely under the radar!

A source close to Nielsen tells us she checked herself into North Hollywood's Cri-Help treatment facility several weeks ago and is doing well. Although it isn't known what Flava Flav's ex-girlfriend is in treatment for, our source says, "It was her decision," adding "It was the right time." Cheers to that!

Looks like Lindsay and Britney have someone else they can not drink with all night!

Alyssa Milano has been named the Global Network's Ambassador for the control of something called Neglected Tropical Diseases. Time to get that rash you got on spring break checked out!

The 34-year-old hottress has taken on the role of raising awareness of NTDs. No glove no love?! What are NTDs you ask? They are 13 chronic and disabling bacterial and parasitic infections known as "diseases of poverty," which afflict about one billion people around the world. Who knew? Exactly!

Milano is so committed to the cause that she even donated $250,000 of her own dollars toward buying safe, effective and inexpensive drugs to combat NTDs.

Late-night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel missed the taping of last night's show -- and for good reason.

TMZ has learned that Kimmel required an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night in L.A., and though the surgery was successful, all tapings of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" have been canceled until Kimmel recovers.

His rep tells us that Jimmy "is resting comfortably and is looking forward to getting back to work."

The son of rock legend Rod Stewart was arrested and thrown behind bars bars yesterday, after cops say he used a brick to beat the crap out of a man and his wife in the Hollywood Hills nearly two months ago.

26-year-old Sean Stewart, star of A&E's reality show "Sons of Hollywood," spent nearly an hour locked up in a Hollywood police station, where he was charged with four felonies, including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of vandalism and one count of throwing substance at a vehicle. Stewart was released on $60,000 bail.

As TMZ first reported, Stewart and a few of his buddies allegedly began throwing bricks, rocks, a mailbox and even a trash can at a random Ford F150 that was driving by a house near a party they were denied entrance to, around 4:00 AM. According to a lawsuit filed by the couple inside the truck, an enraged Stewart began "swinging his arms, punching, throwing bricks and other items."

TMZ has learned that actress Mischa Barton was rushed to the hospital this evening after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.

Sources tell TMZ that the former "OC" star was at a friend's Memorial Day BBQ enjoying a few holiday cocktails when she began to feel extremely ill. Mischa, who has been quite sick with bronchitis since traveling to Cannes, London and Paris the past several weeks, apparently didn't get the memo -- you can't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics!

The 21-year-old celeb was rushed to an undisclosed medical facility in Los Angeles, where we are told she is "resting comfortably."

A Virginia cafe owner has received death threats after rock bands My Chemical Romance and Muse got salmonella food poisoning at his restaurant. Welcome to the brown parade!

After a gig at the nearby College of William and Mary on April 28, the bands stopped for a bite at Glenn Gormley's Green Leafe Cafe. Shortly afterwards, the musicians (and other patrons) got sick, which forced MCR and Muse to cancel several dates on their tour. Since then, Gormley says angry My Chemical Romance fans have been leaving him death threats. Holy crap! While the Health Department is investigating the situation, Gormley won't go into details of the threats.

Mary Weiland, temperamental wife of rock star Scott Weiland, claims her bipolar disorder is mostly to blame for the couple's bloody fight at the Graciela Hotel in Burbank last weekend.

In a statement to TMZ, Weiland says, "The weekend's difficulties were brought on by a reaction to an imbalance in medications used to treat my bipolar disorder... Scott was simply trying to help calm me down. I want to make it very clear that he did not hurt me in any way. For lack of a better expression, I was unstable and just lost it." Well, that clears things up!

Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland and his wife trashed a Burbank hotel room during a rockstar-caliber rampage last weekend, and now the hotel is pressing charges against the Weilands for the damage they caused.

Sources tell TMZ that Weiland and his wife Mary ripped alarm clocks and phones from their sockets and threw them, made "dents and gauges" in the walls, and that there was even blood found on some of the linens afterward. (A picture taken at the scene shows a note attached to a trash bag that says, in Spanish, "with blood.")

The trouble started when Mary arrived at the hotel Saturday, whereupon the couple got into "a huge argument" witnessed by their two young children, who had to be taken away by Weiland's assistant. Weiland himself then left, leaving behind Mary, who could be heard throwing things in the room. The police were called, and the hotel is pressing charges for the damage caused. There's no word whether either Weiland or his wife were injured in the spat.

Even in death, Anna Nicole Smith knows how to draw a crowd, as TMZ reported. She was just buried on Friday, but her grave has already become the No. 1 tourist hotspot in the Bahamas.

"Everybody wants to see this," a taxi driver tells the New York Daily News. "People are getting off the cruise ships, and this is where they want to come. The tourism board ... can't buy the kind of exposure they had here the last few weeks."

Some gawkers booked their trip to the island just to visit the grave and see what all the hubbub was about. A few lucky travelers even got an added bonus on Saturday, when Larry Birkhead graciously took photos with them at the Bahamas airport, while he was waiting for a flight back to the U.S.

A "dehydrated" Nicole Richie was rushed to the hospital Friday. After nearly 20 straight hours of filming "The Simple Life," Nicole started to feel faint and dizzy, reports US Weekly.

Apparently, the stick-thin star was shooting until 2:00 AM the night before, only got a couple hours of sleep and skipped breakfast before returning to the set. At the hospital, she was given fluids and food before being released. She returned to work the next day.

"Nicole has gained weight and is doing really well," says a source. "The producers overreacted -- she didn't need to go to the hospital."

Foxy Brown just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Just this past weekend, the New York Daily News reports that the bad girl had another run in with cops, when she illegally parked her SUV at a bus stop in Brooklyn -- while she was across the street eating. When she saw New York's Finest pull up, she flew out of the restaurant and moved her car -- narrowly escaping a ticket or worse.

The night before, Foxy was banned from the borough's Junior's Restaurant when she tried to dine and dash, which she has done multiple times there in the past, according to the New York Post. This time she walked out on a $53 check, and when someone from her entourage came back to pay, the manager said: "Look, don't pay for it, just don't come back." She was given the boot not only because she constantly skipped out on bills, but because she's rude, and "none of the waiters want to serve her because she's known for cursing out people."

Apparently, Ann Coulter learned nothing from Isaiah Washington's recent PR fiasco. During her speech at a conference, the right-wing commentator referred to Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards as a "faggot." ... Actor-turned-musician Jared Leto broke his nose and suffered other minor injuries while performing in concert in El Paso, Texas. He apparently jumped into the audience during a song, but no fans were injured. ... Michael Jackson landed in Japan today to host an exclusive party where fans paid $3,500 each to shake his hand.

According to several witnesses, James drove their black SUV over the leg of an autograph seeker as the couple slowly pulled away from a Hollywood party Friday night.

According to police, LAPD has not yet "identified" the driver of the vehicle during the accident (?), however, TMZ ran a photo of Blunt in the driver's seat!

TMZ has confirmed that Lindsay Lohan has checked herself into rehab.

In a statement issued through her rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lindsay says "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time."

Lindsay's mom, Dina, revealed last month that Lindsay had been attending AA meetings.
