With his face bruised and bandaged up, "Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson was spotted leaving a doctor's office in Beverly Hills on Monday ... after suffering a mysterious injury to his nose.

Hutcherson first tweeted about the injury on May 9th ... saying, "Just had surgery to fix my broken nose" ... and later his rep told us the actor had been diagnosed with a deviated septum.

But there's one big question -- how DID the 19-year-old movie star break his nose?

Josh isn't saying ... and neither is his rep ... who told TMZ "no further details will be released."

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose underwent surgery on his left knee today to repair the torn ACL he suffered last month.

The Bulls leading scorer was injured in Game 1 of the playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers with just a minute left. Rose played in barely half of the Bulls games this season after suffering a litany of injuries ... including turf toe, back spasms, a pulled groin and foot injuries.

Her name's Lydia Bright. She stars on a UK show called "The Only Way Is Essex" that's basically "The Hills" with English accents. And she DESPERATELY needs a bottle of sunblock.

There's a reason Rihanna's arm was hooked up to a bunch of needles and tubes yesterday -- sources close to Rihanna tell TMZ, the singer had been struck down with a bad case of the flu ... and required an IV drip.

Sources tell us, she started feeling really ill last week and saw a doctor on Thursday ... but by the time of her "Saturday Night Live" appearance, she still wasn't fully recovered.

As we first reported, Rihanna missed the SNL dress rehearsal because she was sick -- but show producers didn't buy her excuse ... insisting she didn't appear ill.

But looks might be deceiving -- because we're told Rihanna wasn't just ill during her SNL performance, she also continued to feel sick the next few days ... and her doc was forced to put her on Penicillin.

Soon after, Rihanna began to experience flu-like symptoms -- requiring IV treatment yesterday, which is when she posted the above picture on Twitter.

The lead singer of the band Against Me! -- famous for their hit "I Was a Teenage Anarchist" -- tells Rolling Stone he's becoming a woman ... but he's NOT attracted to men.

According to the magazine, 31-year-old Tom Gabel says he has a condition called gender dysphoria ... just like Chaz Bono (except in reverse) ... and has questioned his sexual identity since he was a kid.

Tom says he will take hormones and undergo electrolysis to help his transformation into a woman ... and is considering undergoing surgery to aid in the process.

Gabel tells the magazine his new name will be Laura Jane Grace.

Despite the transformation, Tom says he's NOT attracted to men ... and will still be married to his wife ... with whom he shares a 2-year-old daughter.

Mila Kunis just pulled a Patrick Dempsey and may have saved a man's life ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ ... a 50-year-old man -- who works in Mila's house -- collapsed Saturday in her L.A. home. He suffered a violent seizure ... choking, coughing up blood and vomiting. He had bitten through his tongue.

A person on scene tells us ... Mila came running, had her friend call 911, then rushed to the man's side.

We're told the 28-year-old actress grabbed the man's head ... turned it to the side so he wouldn't choke ... while another person stuffed a wallet in his mouth so he wouldn't swallow his tongue.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... paramedics arrived on scene, rushed the man to the hospital, and he's since made a full recovery. We're told Mila volunteered to ride in the ambulance, but it wasn't necessary.

Tracy Morgan doesn't mix well with mountains -- because for the second time in four months, the comedian fell seriously ill in the Rockies ... and required the use of a wheelchair to make his flight home.

According to reports, Tracy was rushed to a hospital in Denver on Saturday for flu-like symptoms and dehydration. He was treated for several hours and released.

Tracy was supposed to perform at a comedy show in town Saturday night -- but his act was canceled due to the medical emergency.

NY Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera -- the greatest closer in baseball history -- could be done for ever after tearing his ACL in a freak injury Thursday night.

Mo twisted his right knee while shagging (baseball term, not the British one) fly balls during batting practice before the Yankees' game in Kansas City. He immediately crumpled to the ground holding the knee ... and had to be removed from the field on a cart.

According to the Yankees, an MRI revealed the torn ACL -- and he'll most likely be out for the rest of the season. 42-year-old Rivera has 608 saves -- the most of all-time -- and is a lock for the Hall of Fame. Even before the injury, Yankees fans were terrified he might retire after this season.

Junior Seau's apparent suicide has former teammate Marcellus Wiley seriously concerned about the long term effects of his days as a hard hitting NFL defensive end.

Today at LAX, Marcellus told us he's spoken to several players since Junior's death yesterday -- and admits "there is a concern about the concussions we had."

As we reported, Junior's sudden death by a gunshot to the chest ... is the latest in a string of ex-NFL player suicides that might be linked to brain-related injuries during their football careers.

Marcellus told us, "I'm 5 years removed from retirement and who knows what effects it had on me psychologically, emotionally, biologically." Watch the clip ... he also reveals concerns about certain drugs he says players took just to stay on the field.

For the millionth time, "Swamp People" star Joe LaFont's life was spared by a boat -- except this time ... it wasn't in gator-infested marshlands ... it was on an Arkansas highway.

As we previously reported, LaFont and his gator-hunting stepson Tommy Chauvin were nearly killed on Monday in a nasty 5-car pile-up near the Arkansas-Louisiana state border -- when a tractor-trailer (below) rammed the truck behind him.

According to LaFont, the truck behind him was towing a boat -- and that's the reason he's still alive.

LaFont tells us, when the tractor-trailer hit the boat, it turned the truck sideways -- and the truck T-boned Joe rather than barreling straight through him.

Joe tells us, "If it wasn't for the boat, I would have been killed ... It was like a bomb went off."

According to Joe, his F-150 and its attached cargo trailer were totaled in the wreck.

Joe didn't suffer any serious injuries -- but he says his neck and shoulders have been bothering him since the crash ... so he's visiting a doctor later today.

Joe says he does not plan to sue.

Sabu -- a hardcore wrestling icon -- was rushed to the hospital before a scheduled event tonight in Pennsylvania ... TMZ has learned.

Cops in Travose, PA tell TMZ they were dispatched to a hotel for a medical emergency, but wouldn't elaborate. The manager at the hotel where Sabu was staying tells TMZ the staff there felt the wrestler was intoxicated when paramedics were called.

A source close to Sabu tells TMZ he had been MIA all day and promoters for an ECW reunion event he was scheduled to appear at could not get in touch with him.

According to our source, Sabu had an allergic reaction to a medication he had been taking.

Sabu is one of the top-billed wrestlers at the Extreme Reunion tonight, but we're told he'll be a no-show.

A rep for the event tells TMZ, "Sabu was found unresponsive in his hotel room earlier today when event staff went to his room to pick him up for tonight's show. Management is currently awaiting results from his doctors to find out what actually happened."

The rep continues, "All we know is that he had prior health issues that might have been a contributing factor. We're pulling for him and are very concerned for his health. We wish him the best of luck in his recovery."

Reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls suffered a torn ACL today and will miss the rest of the season, the team announced.

The injury occurred with just over a minute to go and the Bulls clearly about to win.

Rose played in only 39 games this season because of a litany of injuries ... including turf toe, back spasms, pulled groin and foot injuries.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey's rescue mission in Malibu this week was even more badass than we thought -- just take a look at the scene of the accident!!!

TMZ broke the story ... a teenage driver crashed and flipped his Mustang on the road right outside Dempsey's Malibu home -- and the actor came to the rescue, crowbar in hand to pry the doors open.

Dempsey successfully pulled the driver from the wreckage -- a 17-year-old named Weston Massett -- who tells TMZ, when he opened his eyes, the actor was looking right down at him.

Massett asked, "Are you famous?" ... and Patrick coolly replied, "I'm a doctor."

We're told Patrick called Massett's mother and told her about the accident -- keeping her calm the entire time. Massett was then airlifted to a nearby hospital, and Patrick followed to make sure the kid was okay.

Miraculously, Massett suffered no serious injuries -- just a concussion and a "stretched" optic nerve. He's expected to make a full recovery.

There was also a passenger in the car, Dylan Miller, but thankfully we're told Miller suffered no injuries whatsoever.

Buff Bagwell is finally breathing and eating on his own ... after nearly dying in a horrific car crash Monday ... this according to the wrestler's wife.

TMZ spoke with Judy Bagwell ... who tells us the former WCW superstar had been hooked up to a breathing tube while emergency room doctors were scrambling to treat major injuries to his face and spine.

But now, Judy says, "The breathing tube was removed on Wednesday ... he is talking ... he's eating solid foods."

"[Doctors] were really shocked that he was communicating so soon ... he's a fighter."

As we previously reported, Buff flipped his Jeep after suffering a seizure behind the wheel.

Judy says Buff's already been contacted by a few of his old WCW buddies ... including Sting, Scott and Rick Steiner and "Diamond" Dallas Page.

A very sick Ryan Seacrest made it through "American Idol" last night, but in the process he may have infected every single person who shares the stage with him.

We broke the story -- Ryan came close to bailing on the show. He had a terrible stomach virus, was throwing up the night before and all day yesterday, and went through 2 IV bags in a matter of hours. He didn't make it to the rehearsal and Nigel Lythgoe was ready to step in.

Former WCW wrestling star Buff Bagwell's near-fatal accident this week may have been the result of a seizure induced by a sudden change in medication -- this according to his wife.

Buff's wife dialed 911 Monday -- right around the time of his accident -- claiming Buff had just called her on the road, saying he was about to have a seizure. Buff's wife was worried, so she called 911.

She told the operator, "He's been cutting back on taking certain medications, and he is on a medication right now for a bacteria that’s in his system from another antibiotic. He's trying to cut back on pain pills, and maybe that’s what's causing [the seizure]."

She adds, Buff "has had a seizure before from the same thing."

Another 911 caller, an eyewitness who ran to Bagwell's aid after the accident, claims the 42-year-old was barely conscious with "a lot of blood on his face."
