The daughter of Olympic legend Jesse Owens says the family had final script approval for the upcoming biopic "Race" -- and actually REJECTED certain scenes to ensure the movie was 100% authentic.

Washington Wizard Jared Dudley just pulled a 180 on Kobe Bryant -- calling him a LOCK for Team USA ... even though he recently said free agent superstars were avoiding Kobe like the plague.

Dudley was leaving Greystone in WeHo when we asked if the Mamba should rep USA in the Olympics next year ... with younger players like Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kenneth Faried. Some critics feel Kobe's getting a little long in the tooth.

62-year-old Jeff Goldblum is finally a dad ... because his 32-year-old wife (a former Olympian) just gave birth to their first kid ... on Independence Day!!!

Goldblum and his wife Emilie Livingston announced the good news on social media -- introducing their new son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum.

FYI -- Emilie was a rhythmic gymnast for Team Canada in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney ... and placed 17th in the All Around competition. Since then, she's become a professional aerialist -- performing with huge stars like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Trey Songz.

Livingston and Goldblum married in November 2014 ... and she announced the pregnancy the day before the two tied the knot.

Caitlyn Jenner can make Olympic history again -- the doors to the Hall of Fame are swinging wide open for her to enter ... all she has to do is ask.

Caitlyn was inducted into the H.O.F. back in 1986 thanks to her legendary gold medal in the 1976 Olympic decathlon. But, of course ... Bruce is the name attached to that honor. At least for now.

Patrick Sandusky, spokesperson for the US Olympic Committee, tells TMZ they would gladly update the name to Caitlyn. He says if she files a formal request, the Committee would review it, and presto -- bye bye Bruce, hello Caitlyn.

A rep for Caitlyn tells us she's unclear if she'll make the request.

She's got time to think it over. There won't be any physical honor for the H.O.F. inductees until the U.S. Olympic Museum opens in 2018.

A former ball boy for the U.S. Olympic basketball team says he has the ACTUAL SNEAKERS Michael Jordan wore during the '84 Games ... and now, he's putting them on the auction block.

TMZ Sports has learned ... the kid, now a full-blown man, says MJ signed the kicks and gave him the pair as a gift moments after Team USA won the gold medal.

FYI -- the '84 team included future NBA superstars like Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin and Sam Perkins.

What's interesting about the shoes ... they're made by Converse, not Nike -- and the '84 Games was the last time (at least that we could find) that Jordan rocked a pair of non-swoosh kicks on the court.

The former ball boy -- who doesn't want to reveal his name -- says he saw that Jordan's "flu game" shoes sold for $104k in 2013 ... and decided to hit up Grey Flannel Auctions to see if he could get a similar payday.

We're told the shoes have been authenticated -- and will hit the auction block on June 5th.

Starting bid -- $50k.

Former gymnast Nastia Liukin is pissing on the people who helped make her a star after the Olympics, and she's doing it just to launch her own business ... according to her ex-agent.

Liukin -- a gold medalist in Beijing and former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant -- started the beef when she recently said her former reps never got her deals she could be "passionate about." In other words ... they all sucked.

One of those former reps, Evan Morgenstein, took the comment very personally, and tells TMZ Sports ... "It's an absolute slap in the face. She's got revisionist history. She got deals that no other Olympians had ever gotten."

Morgenstein says he was Nastia's agent from '07-'12, and scored her countless lucrative deals -- including JCPenney and Wheaties. He says he always saw Nastia as family and not just a client, telling us ... "My daughters looked up to her."

Liukin obviously thinks she can do better -- she recently opened the Shine Agency.

Morgenstein's not exactly wishing her good luck -- "She had a come to Jesus moment, and now she thinks she's the next Scott Boras. It's ridiculous."

Would YOU forgive a teammate who CHEATED and costed you an Olympic medal???

Well, U.S. sprinter Justin Gatlin says he's ready to do just that when it comes to Tyson Gay -- who admitted he doped during the 2012 Olympics ... which resulted in the IOC stripping them over their silver medals in the 4x100.

Gay has admitted to taking banned substances -- but says it wasn't intentional. "I basically put my trust in someone and I was let down."

Now, with the IOC taking the medals back, Gatlin tells TMZ Sports he won't fight the decision.

"The rules are the rules ... and if the committee says we have to return it -- I’m going to follow the rules. I honestly don’t mind giving it back if it wasn't won fairly."

As for his feelings about Gay, Gatlin says ... "He has apologized for his actions and asked for public forgiveness. So now it’s time to move on from that."

Gatlin says he now has his eyes focused on another prize -- GOLD at the 2016 Games.

"I know we have another chance coming up in Rio – and we just started off the season beating the Jamaicans at the world championships."

Tooth fairy better pay EXTRA for this one ...

The footage is crazy ... Clay launches the javelin .. tooth goes flying out of Ellie's mouth ... then, blood.

Lolo Jones -- U.S. Olympian and self-proclaimed virgin -- says "Fifty Shades of Grey" is an abomination ... and people should boycott the movie because it glamorizes unholy sex.

Jones -- who's also a devout Evangelical Christian -- went to Twitter and wrote, "Funny how some people think there's nothing wrong with 50 shades of Grey. God didn't create sex for that purpose."

She added, "Watch another movie."

Jones then explained her stance ... saying the movie's hypersexual plot makes people feel that sex for pleasure is the answer to emotional pain.

"Some ppl medicate pain by being more and more physical to where if they are ever alone they can't feel any peace," Jones wrote.

The tweet is in direct contrast to Russell Wilson, another devout Christian who says it's not only OK to see the movie ... but admits he took in a screening last week and said he thought it was "great."

Michael Phelps' self-proclaimed ex-girlfriend just had a close encounter with about a billion little swimmers ... after shooting her very first hardcore porno flick ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The "star" is Taylor Chandler -- who claims she had a relationship with Phelps after meeting him on Tinder. She also says she's "intersex" ... which means she was born with both a penis and a uterus (she's since had the penis removed).

And now, we've learned Chandler is showing off what she's got below the belt in a new X-rated flick she shot with Vivid Entertainment ... the porn company famous for bringing Kim Kardashian's sex tape to the world.

We spoke with Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch who tells us Chandler's raking in 6-figures for "Going for the Gold" ... which features a Phelps look-alike and is set for release next week.

"This is the most unique footage Vivid has ever released," Hirsch says ... "The sky is the limit on this movie."

Michael Phelps just issued a statement on his DUI arrest in Baltimore this morning ... saying he takes "full responsibility" and is sorry he let everyone down.

Here's the statement Phelps just issued on Twitter:

"Earlier this morning, I was arrested and charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines."

"I understand the severity of my actions and take full responsibility."

"I know these words may not mean much right now but I am deeply sorry to everyone I have let down."

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Phelps was pulled over around 1:40 AM for going 84 in a 45 ... and during the stop, the officer noticed the Olympic legend was hammered.

He was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lanes.
