Michael Phelps took three of his closest friends out clubbing in London this weekend -- gold medal, gold medal and gold medal.

Just hours after swimming the last race of his career, Phelps -- the greatest Olympian in the history of the Olympics -- hit the party scene in Soho ... along with 3 of his 18 gold medals ... and a mystery blonde.

Phelps and his medals partied responsibly ... after they partied themselves out, they all piled into the backseat of a waiting SUV and got a ride home.

John Mayer and Katy Perry were seen leaving the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood together last night ... damn you John Mayer.

It's unclear if the two were just hangin' out ... having dinner ... or doing something more salacious, but the sighting immediately ignited rumors that the two are some kind of an item.

It wouldn't be too shocking ... Mayer has been linked to all sorts of hot chicks ... from Jennifer Aniston, to Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Minka Kelly and more.

Just days after being hospitalized, former actress Tara Reid was back on the party scene Monday, smoking cigs and hitting up nightclubs in St. Tropez.

TMZ broke the story ... Reid was hospitalized last week in Nice, France for what we were initially told was acute pancreatitis, a bad inflammation of the pancreas that can result in vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and fever.

On Sunday, the 36-year-old tweeted that she actually had food poisoning and hurt her back on a jet ski.

Katy Perry did her best impression of Will Smith Monday night and morphed into a RAP SUPERSTAR by karaok-ing her way through the classic 90's jam "Welcome to Miami" -- and TMZ has the footage.

It all went down at a karaoke joint on Catalina Island called El Galleon ... Katy went up on stage under the name "Katherine" (smooth), along with another female friend of hers, to get jiggy with Smith's 1998 tune.

The footage is pretty great ... the pop superstar gets most of the words right and even manages to put her own twist on it by saying things in a really high voice -- which was interesting.

It's unclear if Katy was inebriated or not -- it did take place in a bar -- but at the end of the rap she does shout out "I looove my best friend" in a VERY happy way.

7/18 -- The day after the karaoke sesh, Katy hit the beach ... and TMZ has obtained some shot of Perry in her bikini. Enjoy!

Multiple witnesses tell TMZ ... NBA star Jason Kidd appeared to be so drunk in the moments leading up to his DWI arrest ... that he had to be carried out of the club he spent the night partying at.

TMZ has obtained a photo of the all-star point guard being carried out of a club called SL East. Multiple witness tell TMZ that Kidd appeared "incredibly drunk" -- so much so that at one point he tried to hang from a club light and broke it.

According to the multiple witnesses, after being carried out by a few friends, Kidd got in his car to drive off ... despite protests from his friends. Kidd left the club around 1:00 AM and crashed his car less than an hour later.

Earlier in the evening, Kidd tweeted a photo of himself (wearing the same gray shirt as in the photo above) alongside George Lucas at a charity event.

It was a totally different Situation in Las Vegas last night ... where the "Jersey Shore" star celebrated his birthday without any of trademarks making an appearance.

Sitch turned 30 back on July 4 and finally got around to celebrating in Sin City at Señor Frogs, located inside the Treasure Island hotel. The night was very low key -- not only did Sitch not gel up his air or flaunt his abs ... but our spies say he didn't touch a drop of alcohol.

For the first time since the infamous brawl, Drake returned to the club scene last night ... where he ordered roughly 40 BOTTLES of booze ... but this time, no one got hurt.

The rapper hit up the Eden lounge in Washington D.C. around midnight. Sources at the club tell us Drake arrived with a crew of 15-20, which included multiple security guards and rapper J Cole.

A rep for the club tells TMZ ... Drake purchased around 40 bottles -- including Ace of Spades champagne, Cristal and Patron tequila.

The rep says Drake was very friendly, had a good time and eventually covered the entire bill himself.

Mel Gibson blew off some serious steam Saturday night, partying until 4 AM at Maria Menounos' home.

Maria threw a bash for her 34th birthday. A wardrobe friend of Maria's brought Mel along and he quickly made himself at home in her Encino pad, grinding away without a care in the world.

The "Fantasy Factory" duo is hawking two options for now: Cheeseburger -- stuffed with hamburger meat, cheese, ketchup and mustard ... and Pepperoni Pizza -- with mozzarella, pepperoni and tomato sauce.

The frozen goods are currently being sold at several 24-hour Kum and Go and Maverik convenience stores -- perfect for those late night munchies -- and they're hoping to expand to 10,000 locals by the end of summer.
