For Katy Perry, the day that Ruby Rose says ended in an alleged sexual assault started the complete opposite -- light, loud, and carefree -- and TMZ’s got a pic and a video from that very night 16 years ago.

Check it out ... Katy was all smiles on August 15, 2010, crashing a high school prom at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt, where she grabbed a mic and belted out a few songs, including Beyoncé's "Single Ladies." Ruby was with her at the time, though she’s nowhere to be seen in the shots.

From there, the pair later hit Melbourne nightclub Spice Market -- the same spot Ruby claims things took a dark turn. Since the "Orange Is the New Black" star came forward with these allegations ... a police probe has been sparked in Australia.

Olivia Rodrigo might have a new muse because she was spotted on a cozy dinner date with Cameron Winter ... and yeah, sparks were flying.

The "Drivers License" hitmaker and the Geese front man were spotted out in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Olivia kept it effortlessly cool, rocking jeans, a red cardigan, a black bag, and a Chateau Marmont cap. Nia Long says the haters can beat it -- she’s protecting her peace while stepping into Michael Jackson territory.

The actress, who plays Katherine Jackson in the highly anticipated upcoming biopic, “Michael,” made it clear in her Playboy spring issue interview she’s not letting outside noise shake her focus.

“No one can interfere with my sanity. That’s number one,” Long said, adding she learned early on that success in Hollywood means tuning out distractions completely.

Britney Spears is in rehab for substance abuse ... TMZ has learned.

She checked in a few days ago somewhere in the United States. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... people close to the singer had been urging her to check herself in and she finally agreed to do so voluntarily.

As one source put it ... "She realizes she hit rock bottom."

Britney has had issues with drugs -- in particular Adderall -- and alcohol for years. During her many trips to Mexico, she made it a point to replenish her Adderall supply.

Our sources say ... part of the reason she's gone to rehab now is because of her pending DUI case. As one source says, "She knows strategically this will look good in front of the judge -- that she's taking it seriously."

We broke the story ... Britney was arrested for alleged DUI in Ventura County, CA in March 4, 2026.

We're told her sons and others have been strongly supportive of the move.

The program is an undetermined length -- they are often 30 days -- but in this case we're told Britney could stay longer for a more meaningful recovery.

On the other hand, back in the day Britney went to rehab several times but bailed after a few days.
