A sound engineer who claims he was a key producer/creator of Roc-A-Fella's entire body of work between 1999 - 2000 wants a declaration from a judge -- he's as much the owner of the 6 albums as the label itself.

Chauncey Mahan claims in a new lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- he was the sound engineer who was one of the first masters of Pro Tools production software and was instrumental in creating the sound for a number of Roc-A-Fella's biggest releases, including The Life and Times of S. Carter and The Dynasty album.

TMZ broke the story ... Jay Z and Roc Nation filed an extortion police report earlier this year, claiming Chauncey was holding boxes of master recordings hostage ... demanding $100,000 for the music.

Jay Z set up a sting operation where his people met Chancey at a storage facility in the San Fernando Valley, and unbeknownst to him the LAPD was there and seized the boxes. Cops still have them.

Chauncey now wants a judge to say he was so essential to the creation of the music ... he's a co-owner of the copyright. As such, it would give him the right to get the masters back.

Nash Grier -- the most followed person on Vine -- billowed out a homophobic slur so loud and angry it is truly shocking.

The 16-year-old posted the video in April -- then quickly deleted it. It features a snippet from a TV commercial about HIV. Grier clearly took issue with the message.

The reason it just surfaced -- Tyler Oakley, another social media star, got his hands on it and was appalled enough to blast it out.

Grier has since taken to Twitter to apologize.

Ashton Kutcher busted out his best Indian turban -- and his WORST Indian accent and dance moves for the traditional Indian wedding of one of his friends ... and let's just say, Apu from the Simpsons would be proud.

Ashton's pal, Google VP Nikesh Arora, got married over the weekend in Italy -- and made the awesome decision to have Ashton on stage for a Bollywoodesque dance number.

We asked the Rage bassist about a German Motorhead fan who suffered a brain bleed -- which his doctors partially blamed on years of excessive headbanging -- and Tim doesn't think the horrific news will scare true headbanging fans.

In fact, he says he's felt the same pain, telling us ... "Banger neck, yeah. Every time we played I got banger neck."

Of course, Tim never had to have HOLES DRILLED IN HIS HEAD ... like the Motorhead fan -- but watch him explain why that danger is just part of the show.

In a tradition as time-honored as the Fourth of July itself, Flavor Flav was once again busted for having illegal fireworks.

Flav -- who has been getting his fireworks shows busted up since 2009 -- had thousands of dollars of fireworks confiscated and received two citations. According to one report, it took a special unit to come dispose of the fireworks ... which weighed over 100 pounds.

As we previously reported ... Chris Colfer received similar treatment yesterday when his account tweeted saying he was let go from the show for personal reasons -- but it turned out to be the work of some internet bandit.

Anthony Cumia -- one half of popular radio duo "Opie and Anthony" -- was fired this morning for going on an online racial rant earlier this week.

For those who missed it ... Cumia called a black woman a "c*** animal" for allegedly punching him in the face while he took pictures of people in Times Square. He then went on an intense Twitter rant.

Anthony's now ex-bosses say they made the decision to fire him because the postings are "abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXm represents."

It's unclear if the show will be cancelled, or if Anthony will just be replaced. Opie and Anthony have been broadcasting together since 1995.

Roy Horn's former personal assistant says the Las Vegas legend sexually assaulted him for years ... and although the assistant admits voluntarily doing certain things, he drew the line at oral sex.

According to the police report ... Omar Dominguez-Ramos says he worked for Horn from 2010 to 2013. Dominguez-Ramos claims Horn made unwanted sexual advances from the get go ... claiming Horn would ask him to undress and then touch his nipples, penis and buttocks area.

Dominguez-Ramos told cops Horn repeatedly asked him to perform oral sex, which he refused to do. The former assistant admits he masturbated for Horn, but never had sex with him.

Dominguez-Ramos says in the report ... someone anonymously sent him a CD several weeks ago showing some of the sexual misdeeds Horn allegedly committed against him.

We know cops conducted an investigation … but the statute of limitations has expired for the most serious allegations. Police say now it's just a civil matter.

A 19-year-old Texas Tech cheerleader says she's received DEATH THREATS over her penchant for hunting exotic animals ... and one of the harassers is one of the "Real Housewives of Miami."

Chris Colfer has NOT been fired from "Glee" -- despite a mysterious tweet that said he was -- and he may be the victim of an Internet hoax ... according to his rep.

The tweet appeared just a few minutes ago ... from his verified account ... saying, "Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly..."

We're told ... his team believes his account was hacked because he's currently on a flight back from London without WiFi access.

Kendall Jones -- the teenage hunter whose animal kills have so enraged people -- is not the cold-blooded killer she's been made out to be ... so says her father.

Cody Jones tells TMZ ... some of his daughter's killings were humane. The pic of the dead lion, for example, was a mercy killing, he says, because the animal was old and unable to keep up with its pack. Kendall's dad says the lion's fate was sealed ... a younger lion would surely have killed it.

And he says his daughter has taken heat over the pic of her posing with a rhino. He says the rhino is NOT dead -- it was injured by a lion and later tranquilized and taken to a vet.

As for the animals Kendall did kill ... her dad says the leopards, elephants and lions are not on the endangered species list.

Jeremy Meeks is NOT ready for his closeup -- Dreamy McMug wants to BAN all cameras from his court hearing ... since the judge is forcing him to dress like a common criminal.

Meeks' attorney will file a motion this morning to prevent the media from taking ANY photographs or video of the hearing set for next week.

It's kind of a last ditch effort -- as TMZ first reported ... the judge already shot down Meeks' request to wear custom-fitted clothes to court instead of his orange jumpsuit and shackles.

The docs are hilarious ... the lawyer says Meeks' mug shot has been shown by tens of thousands of media outlets, and has "become woven in the fabric of pop culture."

His point -- there's now so much media interest in Meeks -- who's facing weapons charges -- that if he's seen in jail duds, it will make him look guilty and hurt his chances of getting an unbiased jury.

Justin Bieber and Khalil went back to the scene of the crime -- Miami Beach -- where the two got busted for DUI ... and this time, Justin's sidekick threatened to shoot anyone who got in his way.

Bieber was leaving Dream nightclub at around 4:00 AM and was super cool with fans -- taking a slew of pics and being extremely gracious.

By sharp contrast ... Khalil made his way to the SUV and began randomly pretending to pull the trigger of a gun ... repeatedly screaming, "That's how a n**** gets shot."

BTW ... as we reported ... Khalil and Bieber have worked out a plea deal and we're told prosecutors are currently processing the paperwork.

Justin Bieber has just screwed over the owner of his Beverly Hills condo units the way he screwed over the other residents ... because the owner is now on the hook to pay for security to keep Bieber and his buddies in check.

As TMZ first reported ... Bieber's new neighbors are at war with the singer ... cops have already showed up twice in the middle of the night over party noise. Some neighbors says they have literally choked over the smell of weed in the hallways.

So the Home Owner's Association had an emergency meeting this week and decided to hire security during the evenings and bill the owner of Bieber's units. The guards will work between 6 PM and 8 AM.

The HOA can't go after Bieber because he's just a renter ... a renter who parties hard with the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Tyrese and Johnny Manziel.

The security team started Tuesday but there'll be plenty of time for a snooze -- Bieber's currently wreaking havoc in Miami.

Katt Williams says whoever called 911 on him Tuesday night is a LIAR ... because he was NOT brandishing a gun at a West Hollywood comedy club.

Katt tells TMZ ... he was actually the victim ... verbally attacked and threatened by 4 gangbangers who repeatedly called him "Cuz" ... Crip slang referring to the rival Bloods gang.

The comedian goes on to say things got physical when the 4 guys followed him to his car and began assaulting him.

But Katt says he never pulled a gun ... never even had one. So the 911 call reporting he was brandishing a weapon is absurd ... or so he says.

As for who called 911 ... Katt is convinced it's was the gang members themselves. If that's true, it certainly goes against type ... gang members generally stay away from those digits.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kenya Moore is a big fan of guns -- she's packing lots of 'em -- but says "rednecks" with weapons in bars is a bad idea.

Kenya was out in Bev Hills when we asked her about Georgia's new Safe Carry Protection Act -- which makes it legal to carry guns into all kinds of dangerous places ... libraries, schools, churches, and bars too.

As for where Kenya plans to tote her guns -- bars may be out, but she explains why she'll always have one close.
