J.R. Smith Topless Celebration Returns ... After Browns' First Win!!

9/21/2018 6:39 AM PDT
Breaking News

Shirtless J.R. Smith made his return Thursday night ... and we all have Baker Mayfield to thank for it -- 'cause the Cavs star WENT CRAZY after the rookie led the Browns to a win!!!

It all went down at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland ... where J.R. had luxury box seats to see the Baker-led Browns finally win a game for the first time since 2016.

You'll remember ... the last time J.R. celebrated a massive Cleveland victory -- he went topless in public for hours ... rockin' no shirt for the entire Cavs' championship parade.

Well ... about midway through the second half of the Browns-Jets game -- J.R. promised to make another shirtless appearance if they pulled out the comeback.

And then Baker did it -- AND OFF WENT THE SHIRT!!

"It's over! Let's go! Let's go!" a topless J.R. screamed after the win. "We outchya! No shirt shorty! We out here!"

Thanks again, Baker.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell Hey Cleveland ... Tell Me How My A** Tastes!!!

9/20/2018 6:42 PM PDT

If you thought NY Jets running back Isaiah Crowell was going to take it easy on his former team on Thursday Night Football ... you thought very wrong.

Crowell just scored his second TD of the first half to the put the Jets up 14-0 over the Browns, and to celebrate ... he wiped his butt with the ball and threw it in the stands for the Cleveland fans.

That's right, it was touchdown No. 2.

Crowell spent his first 4 years in the NFL with the Browns -- enduring a 1-31 record the past 2 seasons -- before heading to the Jets this offseason.

Clearly ... he's happy to put his Browns behind him.

LaDainian Tomlinson Start Bridgewater Over Darnold Here's Why ...

8/23/2018 12:12 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

LaDainian Tomlinson says it's not even a debate in his mind -- if he's Todd Bowles, Teddy Bridgewater is the starting QB on opening day for the NY Jets.

Darnold -- the #3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft -- has been solid in the pre-season ... showing real potential, despite his inexperience.

On the other hand, Teddy Bridgewater has been a STUD after coming back from one of the worst knee injuries in the history of the league.

The race for the starting job has been neck and neck -- and the team hasn't made an official announcement as to who will start Week 1.

But, LT says it's an easy decision for him ... ya gotta go with Teddy B. But, he's not throwing shade at Darnold.

Either way, the Jets seem to have a lot more hope this season than people thought ...

NFL's Willie Colon Don't Sink to Trump's Level!

8/15/2018 12:26 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Ex-NFL lineman Willie Colon has a strategy for dealing with President Trump's personal attacks on his enemies -- "When they go low, we go high."

The former Steelers and Jets player was out in NYC (wearing a sweet NY Knicks shirt) when we asked for his thoughts on a possible tape of Trump saying the n-word

"Nobody should use the n-word," Colon said ... "Let alone Trump!"

At the end of the day, Colon says people should follow Michelle Obama's advice -- and hold themselves to a higher standard than the one Trump has set.

Terrelle Pryor Punked Badly By Ex-Teammate ... At Redskins-Jets Practice

8/14/2018 8:43 AM PDT
Breaking News

Redskins star D.J. Swearinger just snatched Terrelle Pryor's soul -- throwing a fake punch at the NY Jets wide receiver ... who FLINCHED like a biiiiiiiiiiiiitch in front of everyone!!!!

It all went down at 'Skins camp in Richmond, Virginia -- where Washington had a joint practice with the Jets. Remember, Pryor was a complete bust last season in D.C. after signing a 1-year, $6-MILLION deal.

The 'Skins obviously haven't forgotten that ... 'cause after the wideout lost a rep to defensive back Montae Nicholson ... they talked all kinds of trash -- and then D.J. Swearinger stepped in.

The Washington safety gave T.P. his thoughts ... and then hit Pryor with the ultimate fake punch -- that left Pryor (who was wearing a helmet) covering up in fear while both teams watched.

Pryor's been having a rough camp in NY ... and we're guessing this ain't going to make things any easier.

Ice up, T.P. Ice up.

NY Jets' Dylan Donahue Pleads Guilty In Wrong Way DUI Crash Case

8/1/2018 9:31 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

New York Jets linebacker Dylan Donahue -- the guy who crashed into a bus in the Lincoln Tunnel -- has pled guilty to drunk driving ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, officials say the 25-year-old was driving his Dodge Charger Hellcat the wrong way in the Lincoln Tunnel on Feb. 26, when he slammed into a jitney bus (a private passenger bus) which was carrying 15 people. 4 of those people were hospitalized

Donahue was initially hit with 4 charges-- but, he struck a deal with prosecutors in which 3 of those were dropped in exchange for pleading guilty to operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

His sentence -- his license was suspended for 3 months, he must have an ignition interlock device (which tests for alcohol on his breath) on his car for 1 year and must complete a DUI education program.

Meanwhile, Donahue has been participating at Jets camp -- and reportedly impressing the coaching staff.

Dylan's attorney Terry Webb tells TMZ Sports ... "Dylan accepts full responsibility for his actions and apologizes to his friends and family and fans. Dylan has been sober since the incident and is still committed to living a sober life."

NY Jets Chris Herndon DUI Crash Video Shows Frightening Wreckage

7/17/2018 9:51 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

NY Jets rookie tight end Chris Herndon is VERY lucky to be alive -- and lucky he didn't kill anyone -- because the newly obtained video of his DUI crash is terrifying.

TMZ Sports got the police body cam footage showing the moment cops arrived to the I-80 highway in Jersey on June 2 ... after Herndon smashed into another vehicle and flipped his car.

You can see Herndon's flipped 2018 Nissan Armada -- which witnesses say was driving around 100 mph when he struck a Toyota towing a flatbed trailer.

Miraculously, both Herndon and the other driver -- a 76-year-old man -- escaped without any major injuries.

Cops suspected 22-year-old Herndon was drunk and administered a field sobriety test -- which he bombed.

Herndon claimed he only had 2 cups of wine before getting behind the wheel. He blew a .14 ... nearly twice the legal limit.

The former University of Miami player was eventually arrested and charged with DUI. He's due in court next month.

Sam Darnold No Hazing For Rookie QB ... Teammate Says

6/27/2018 3:37 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

There will be no pranks allowed on New York Jets savior Sam Darnold ... his teammate Buster Skrine says.

As for why ... Skrine seems conflicted on that part ... telling TMZ Sports -- on one side, the former USC QB is too good of a dude ... but, on the other, the NFL REALLY frowns upon doing that.

Still ... the Jets corner says there will be SOME sort of initiation for the No. 3 pick ... and it might involve a little bit of singing for the team in training camp.

Translation ... the season won't even have officially started and Sam will already be compared to Tom Brady.

NY Jets CEO Screw The NFL's Anthem Rule ... I'll Pay The Fines!!

5/23/2018 2:43 PM PDT
Breaking News

NY Jets chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson says to hell with the NFL's new policy on restricting anthem protests ... and vows to pay  the fines HIMSELF if his players kneel!

"If somebody [on the Jets] takes a knee, that fine will be borne by the organization, by me, not the players," Christopher told Newsday.

"There will be no club fines or suspensions or any sort of repercussions. If the team gets fined, that's just something I'll have to bear."

FYI, Christopher is the brother of team owner Woody Johnson -- who is currently serving as the U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, after being nominated by President Trump

Johnson added that while he prefers his players stand, he says it's not his nor the league's place "to put restrictions on the speech of our players."

The policy was shredded by critics almost immediately after it was announced ... but it appears Johnson and the Jets have found a workaround.

Saquon Barkley Bros Out with Baker Mayfield ... Sam Darnold!

5/17/2018 7:12 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Check this out ... #1, #2 and #3 all hanging together at LAX and TMZ Sports has the video!!

NY Giants rookie Saquon Barkley -- along with Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold -- all touched down at LAX for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere event ... and they all seemed pretty stoked to reunite!

Barkley and Mayfield hugged it out ... and Saquon actually carpooled with Darnold (Jets and Giants mingling?!).

Of course, Saquon couldn't have been nicer -- complimenting his new NY rival ... even saying he's rooting for him!

We also asked Barkley about Eric Dickerson's recent comments -- that he's hoping Barkley will NOT break his rookie rushing record, and Saquon even handled that with 100% class.

"I don't care for that," Barkley said about breaking the record ... "I wanna win championships."

Curtis Martin Sam Darnold Will Succeed In NYC ... If He Does This

5/13/2018 12:20 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Sam Darnold should thank his lucky stars ... New York Jets legend Curtis Martin is about to give the team's newest QB a lesson on how to succeed under the bright lights of the Big Apple.

Martin is the Jets all-time leading rusher and a member of the NFL Hall of Fame, so when we got him in NY we wanted to know if he had any advice for Darnold, who was drafted #3 by the team last month.

Curtis dropped some knowledge on Sam ... and we're hoping Darnold listens, because we know he wouldn't be the first player to crumble under the pressure of playing in the city that never sleeps.

NY Jets' Robby Anderson Off the Hook In Wife-Banging Speeding Arrest

4/3/2018 7:53 AM PDT
Exclusive Details

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Robby Anderson -- the guy who allegedly told a cop he was going to find his wife and bang her out of spite -- is essentially off the hook in his speeding case ... and all he had to do was pay a fine!!!

Remember, the NY Jets stud WR was arrested in Florida back in January after cops say he was doing 105 mph in a 45 mph -- and during the stop, he went completely nuclear on the arresting officer.

"He was going to find my wife, f*ck her and nut in her eye," the officer wrote in his arrest report.

Anderson was initially hit with 9 charges including 3 felonies (harming a public servant, fleeing and eluding and reckless speeding) and faced up to 15 YEARS in prison!!!!

But now, the Florida State Attorney's office tells TMZ Sports ... prosecutors have declined to move forward with ANY of the felony charges and the reckless speeding charge was downgraded to a misdemeanor.

And get this ... court records show Anderson was only ordered to pay a fine in the misdemeanor case (which he did) ... and it appears the case is essentially closed.

It's good news for Anderson -- but he could still be punished by the NFL if league officials find he violated the personal conduct policy.

Stay tuned ...

Bart Scott Jets Made Great Trade w/ Colts Gotta Draft Premiere QB

3/19/2018 1:09 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

The Jets made a helluva great trade jumping up 3 spots in the NFL Draft ... guaranteeing they get a top QB, this according to former Jets star LB Bart Scott.

Gang Green made the blockbuster move over the weekend -- sending their 6th overall pick and three 2nd round picks to the Colts -- in exchange for the 3rd overall pick ... a price some thought was too steep.

Scott -- who spent 4 seasons with the Jets between '09 and '12, and now co-hosts 'The Afternoon Drive' on WFAN in NYC -- says the move sets the Jets up to land a franchise quarterback.

"Now they're in a safe spot, where I believe they can get one of the 3 premiere quarterbacks in the draft."

So, who's the ideal fit?

"I'm good with anyone. Darnold, Allen, Rosen. Rosen is the more ready, but I like Allen the best, 'cause I like the big arm."

But, what if Penn State superstar RB Saquon Barkley is still on the board when the Jets' pick rolls around?

Scott knows what to do ...

Can't wait!
