Don Cheadle From Bungalow to Wonder Home ... Flips Marina del Rey Crib

Published | Updated

Don Cheadle fixed up a shack of a crib near Venice Beach into an architectural marvel in a matter of 4 years -- and now he's cleaned up unloading the place ... TMZ has learned.

The "House of Lies" actor's Marina del Rey home recently sold for about $2.4 million after listing it earlier this year around the same price. The twist ... he bought the original property in 2014 for less than $900k ... and completely rebuilt it into what you see now.

The vertically-inclined 2,400 sq. foot home has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, with 10-foot high ceilings at the highest point in its two-story design. Originally, it was a mere bungalow at just 800 sq. ft. -- so Don and his wife, Bridgid Coulter, clearly did a number on the inside and out. It now features French oak floors, marble countertops and a roof deck for a sweet view. The listing agents are Rhonda Payne and James Coulter.

Don's coming off a VERY strong 'Avengers' weekend playing War Machine -- it actually has the biggest box office opening weekend ever. More good news for the Cheadle-Coulters!

We're told he bought the pad after filing for divorce earlier this year. Logic and his ex previously lived in a $1.9 million home in nearby Tarzana.

Logic's new pad is 7,075 square feet and has a killer backyard with a pool, hot tub, huge patio, as well as a view of the neighboring mountains. There's also a newly renovated kitchen.

The home was originally listed for $3.779 million, but Logic got the price down to $3.57 million, which doesn't happen often in L.A.

Derek Fisher & Gloria Govan It's Time to Plan for Family Expansion

Published | Updated

Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan aren't just tying the knot, they're blending 2 families together ... which means adjustments need to be made to their house.

The couple has already laid out plans to make more room for their soon-to-be blended fam ... according to L.A. City docs. The 2 got a permit in January for Derek's Tarzana pad to remodel 2 bedrooms, and build an additional bathroom on the second floor.

Fisher's home is already 5,110 sq. ft with 5 beds and 5 baths, but when you take into account he's got 4 kids and Govan has 2 ... the more space (and bathrooms) the merrier.

Estimated cost -- $10k.

We broke the story ... Derek popped the question to Gloria earlier this month surrounded by their kids. Obviously, she said yes. Her ex and father of her sons, Matt Barnes, even weighed in on the engagement ... saying he was happy for everyone.

Justin Bieber Might Be Homeowner Again ... Eyeing $10.9 mil Crib In Brentwood

Published | Updated

Justin Bieber is looking to put roots down in L.A. again and he's eyeing a $10.9 million home in Brentwood.

Bieber has been a serial renter the past few years, hopping between homes in Hollywood, Bev Hills and the San Fernando Valley. We're told the 7-bedroom, 8-bath modern home in Brentwood is appealing to the Biebs partly because it comes with great neighbors ... his manager Scooter Braun, as well as Lebron James and John Travolta.

The 7,890 square foot home was developed by Ramtin Ray Nosrati of Huntington Estate Properties, who's known for developing homes for celebs and athletes in the past.

The listing agents for the pad are Cindy Ambuehl and Dan Urbach of The Agency.

Now for the amenities ... 27-foot ceiling, two-story fireplace, rooftop patio with jacuzzi and an infinity pool with killer views of Los Angeles. Sound like a baller pad ... fit for Bieber.

Wayne Gretzky Buys Back Famous Mansion He Sold to Lenny Dykstra

Published | Updated

Wayne Gretzky REALLY IS the great one ... he just bought back the famous SoCal mansion he once sold to Lenny Dykstra for MILLIONS less than he sold it for!!!!

Gretzky had sold the palatial 6.5-acre estate in Thousand Oaks, CA to Dykstra for $18.5 million back in 2007 -- back when Lenny was still being hailed as a financial guru.

Dykstra was later exposed as a fraud and his kingdom fell apart -- and the bank eventually foreclosed on the property. Dykstra famously trashed the home he left for good.

The home recently went up for sale ... and Gretzky swooped in and picked it up for $13.5 MILLION, according to the L.A. Times.

AMAZING, RIGHT!?

In case you're wondering, the place is BALLER AS HELL ... 12,000 square feet of living space, 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a gym, movie theater, tennis court and TWO guest homes.

Wayne Gretzky ... straight killing it.

Chris Paul 14 Bathroom Mansion For Sale ... Asking $7 Mil

Lookin' for a big ass house with 14 bathrooms? Hit up Chris Paul's realtor ... 'cause the Rockets star just put his Houston mansion up for sale ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Paul bought the ridiculously huge 18,717 square ft. place last October ... a few months after he was traded from the Clippers to the Rockets.

It's unclear why he's selling so quickly ... though the drive from the property to the Toyota Center -- where Houston plays -- is about an hour.

CP3's asking price ... $6,975,000.

In addition to the 14 porcelain thrones ... the mansion also has 9 bedrooms, a 6-car garage and is built on a prestigious Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

Jake Paul Sued Joke's on You, Bud ... Trashing Our Pad Will Cost Ya $2.5M

Published | Updated

3:17 PM PT -- Jake's rep tells TMZ, "There's no allegation regarding the actual amount of damages other than the request for punitive damages. That's because the damages were minimal compared to the amount they're asking. They say they want punitive damages because they say they didn't know Jake would use the house for his pranks, but the original lease states it's for Jake's personal use."

The rep adds, "After more than a year, when they presumably would have known all about the pranks, instead of asking him to leave they raised the rent and increased the security deposit. Something doesn't add up."

The Paul Bros. are at it again -- this time it's Jake being taken to court for treating his rental home like the capital of Pranksville, USA ... which could cost him millions.

Jake is being sued by Cobra Acquisitions, LLC -- which owns the newly constructed L.A.-based house Jake allegedly rented from them in 2016 -- for what they claim are substantial damages left at the home during his year-and-a-half tenancy.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jake rented the pad in May 2016 for $17,495/month with a security deposit of $40k. He moved out in December 2017, and allegedly left the place in ruins -- burn marks in the pool, dead landscaping, and busted cabinets.

Cobra says Jake did not disclose he was a famous YouTube prankster when they first leased to him, but that it quickly became apparent what line of work he was in. They allege the fire department had been called out a number of times while he lived there, and that social media stars would constantly be at the crib ... leaving neighbors pissed and complaining.

Needless to say, Cobra doesn't believe the $40k deposit covers their estimated damages. They're asking a judge for at least $2.5 million in damages.

Kendall Jenner Putting Work Into Bev Hills Crib

Published | Updated

Kendall Jenner's renovating her Beverly Hills home to give it her own special touch -- possibly because Charlie Sheen used to live there ... or she wants to flip it like a pro.

According to L.A. City docs ... Kendall got permits back in October and December to remove and replace the fireplace and remodel the kitchen and bathrooms. She also filed to put a new roof on the house last month.

Kendall bought the mansion, listed by agent Jill Lowy, back in August for $8.55 mil. It belonged to Charlie until 2016, and now Kendall's pumping cash into it for a major remodel.

It's unclear if she's doing all this work on the 5-bed, 6-bath pad -- with a bomb courtyard and pool -- for herself, or to put it back on the market to turn a profit ... but flipping houses does run in the fam.

And, whoever ends up living there will gain a famous next-door neighbor ... Christina Aguilera!

Mel B, Stephen Belafonte We're Slashing Prices ... Buy Our House, Please!!!

Published | Updated

There IS one thing Mel B and Stephen Belafonte agree on -- their Hollywood Hills home has gotta go, and the exes are knocking another half mil off the asking price to get it done.

TMZ has learned the house -- a 4-story, 4,631 sq. ft. contemporary beauty with 4 beds and 6 baths -- was taken off the market at the beginning of the year ... but was relisted for sale Thursday at $7,495,000.

Mel and Stephen originally put the pad on the market for $8.995 million just over a year ago, in the heat of their bitter divorce proceedings. A few weeks later they dropped it by a mil, but couldn't find a buyer.

We broke the story ... Belafonte claimed in December Mel B was making it extremely difficult for him to sell the house because she wouldn't let him inside to make repairs and stage it for a sale.

Now they're giving it another shot with the new $500k discount.

FYI ... celeb realtors Josh and Matt Altman of The Altman Brothers at Douglas Elliman are the listing agents, along with Ann Dashiell.

Taylor Swift Man Breaks into Home ... Showers and Sleeps in Her Bed!

Published | Updated

Taylor Swift had a real life version of Goldilocks play out in one of her homes, as an intruder got way too comfortable after breaking into the place.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Roger Alvarado allegedly climbed up a ladder, smashed a window with his hand and got into the NYC brownstone early Friday. Once he got in, he took a shower and fell asleep in a bed.

This would be the part where Taylor walks in on him, if this really were Goldilocks ... luckily, she wasn't there. However, a witness spotted Alvarado breaking in and called cops. He was arrested inside the home and charged with stalking, burglary and criminal mischief.

Taylor just owns the property -- she bought it a few months ago, but we're told she's never lived there.

She's been the target of several scary run-ins lately. Most recently, a man was arrested trying to scale the wall of her Bev Hills mansion, and another showed up at that same mansion with a mask and rubber gloves. Both were arrested.

The Obamas Summer's Almost Here So, Let's Build a Swimming Pool!!!

Published | Updated

Barack and Michelle Obama have decided 2 summers without a swimming pool were enough ... so with another summer around the corner, they are finally gonna build one.

Obama's post-presidential pad in Washington, D.C. -- the one they first rented back in 2016 and then plunked down $8.1 million to buy last year -- is undergoing construction for a new swimming pool.

According to building permits, obtained by TMZ, work includes construction for a brand spankin' new residential swimming pool ... an in-ground pool, of course. Barack was the 44th prez, after all. The pool will also feature a terrace of sorts.

Barack and Michelle got the permit application process going in January ... and there has been a series of reviews in the months that followed -- from plumbing and electrical to several mechanical corrections.

Nothing like a staycation after a SICK 2017 vacation.

Serena Williams Bel-Air Home Price Drop ... Advantage Potential Buyer!!!

Published | Updated

Serena Williams is making an adjustment -- to her real estate game -- by slashing the price of her Bel-Air home ... to just a shade under $10 million.

The tennis star put the 6,101 sq ft, 6-bed, 7-bath mansion -- featuring a pool, gym, bar, salon and private hiking trails -- on the market for $12 mil back in October ... but apparently hasn't had any takers.

With a new price tag of $9,995,000, Serena's still set to make a nice profit on the sale -- she bought the place for just over $6 mil in 2006.

As we reported ... Serena plunked down $6.7 mil on a Beverly Hills pad right around the same time she listed her Bel-Air palace with Greg Piechota from KASE Real Estate.

So ... don't worry about her not having a place to stay in L.A.

Calvin Harris Sued by Blind Man Over Mega-Expensive Home Rental Deal

Published | Updated

4/20 6:56 AM PT -- A rep for Calvin tells us, "The claims filed against Calvin Harris are absurd and without merit. We are confident that the Court will dismiss the frivolous lawsuit."

Calvin Harris is being sued by a blind man who claims the DJ screwed him over in a super-expensive home deal.

Harry Moscatel claims he leased Harris' home above the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood last year for $35,000 a month. He put down a $70,000 security deposit and moved in ... according to the docs.

Moscatel's attorney, Scott Doonan, tells us ... the house had problems from the beginning, including hot water and heating issues, faulty doors and a sound system that never worked right.

We're told Moscatel and his family bailed on the home, and he now claims the lease agreement was invalid ... in part because he's a 79-year-old blind man and protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lawsuit does not explain why his disability would allow him out of the lease.

The house was once the love nest of Calvin and Taylor Swift when the 2 were an item.

Moscatel makes other technical arguments about the lease and is asking a judge to declare it null and void. He's also preparing to sue Harris to get a portion of his rent and his security deposit back.

BTW ... Moscatel made news last year after a hoverboard caught fire and burned his multi-million-dollar mansion down. Presumably, that's why he rented Calvin's pad.

We reached out to Calvin's people, so far no word back.

Taylor Swift Obsessed Fan Busted for Felony Stalking

Published | Updated

11:41 AM PT -- Beverly Hills PD filed for and was granted a temporary firearms restraining order against Taylor's alleged stalker, Julius Sandrock, in which they claim his car was found to contain an empty gun holster, live rounds of ammunition, latex gloves, black gloves, a knife and multiple types of masks, black rope, Rx medication, and psychologist paperwork. Cops also say Sandrock was arrested attempting to break into Taylor's home while wearing a mask and rubber gloves. They claim he told officers he suffers from OCD, bipolar disorder, severe depression and manic episodes. Sandrock is on probation in Colorado for "disorderly conduct and discharging a firearm," according to police.

Taylor Swift's home, a designated historic landmark, keeps attracting bizarre behavior -- another obsessed fan was arrested there after trekking across several states ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us cops were called to Taylor's Bev Hills mansion Saturday after security spotted a suspicious man in front of the property. Police responded and busted a 38-year-old man who said he'd driven from Colorado to meet with Taylor. We're told she was not home.

After searching the man's car and interviewing him, officers determined they had enough reason to arrest him and book him for felony stalking. He's still in custody, and we're told cops are in the process of issuing an emergency protective order for him to stay away from Taylor.

Taylor's security was already on high alert -- as we reported, a trespasser was recently sentenced to 3 days in jail and 3 years probation after he attempted to scale a wall at Taylor's home.

'The Crossing' Star Peace Out, L.A. Thanks for the Profit!

Published | Updated

Natalie Martinez, from ABC's new show "The Crossing", is tapping out of L.A. but she's making a small bundle on her way out ... by selling her house.

Natalie bought her 4 bedroom, 3 bath crib in the San Fernando Valley back in 2015 for just over $1 million. She just sold the 3,400 square ft crib for $1.32 million -- so, she could be walking away with a tidy $280k in profit.

Mica Rabineau was her listing agent, and we're told Natalie got multiple offers within 3 days of putting it on the market. We're guessing the awesome backyard was an attractive selling point.

As for why she decided to sell, we're told "The Crossing" shoots in Canada, and Natalie wanted to live closer to work.

Blac Chyna I Got Architectural Digest Suckin' Up to Me!!!

Published | Updated

Blac Chyna has turned the world upside down ... hoity-toity Architectural Digest is featuring her meeting with a prominent architect to design her dream home.

Michael B. Lehrer, who got his pedigree from Harvard Graduate School of Design, is working with Chyna on an insane pad ... with a 10-car garage, helicopter pad, infinity pool, sex room and a bank vault. She said she got the money-room idea from Macaulay Culkin's "Richie Rich" flick. Seriously.

No mention of a nursery or kids' room for King Cairo and Dream (#priorities).

Unclear if this will just be a dream home or a reality.

The Harvard-educated architect can't be cheap ... is probably what Rob Kardashian's thinking. He's forking over $20k a month in child support ... and it wasn't long ago he was renting from Kylie.

Only in America.
