James Gandolfini Rolex Theft a Total 'Sopranos' Deja Vu

Published | Updated

There's an eerie 'Sopranos' coincidence surrounding James Gandolfini and the paramedic on trial for stealing his Rolex the day he died.

The paramedic, whose trial started Monday in Rome, is Claudio Bevilacqua. That name might sound familiar to hardcore 'Sopranos' fans ... since Tony offed a Matt Bevilaqua in a 2001 episode of HBO's hit show.

On the show, Bevilaqua robbed Tony's crew and demanded a watch from one of the guys. The boss eventually catches up with Bevilaqua and delivers some mob justice.

Adding to the creepy life imitating art thing -- Bevilaqua was played by Lillo Brancato, who eventually did time in real life for attempted burglary.

The whole thing is just weird. Check out the TV heist.

Ciara Loses Big to Future in Custody War

Published | Updated

Ciara got shot down in a big way in custody court Monday ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the former couple say Ciara showed up in court asking for sole custody of their 1-year-old son, baby Future. She claimed Future was a bad parent who was not present in the child's life. We're told she and her lawyer also trash talked Future to the judge, saying he was a bad person.

For his part, Future showed up and asked for joint custody, and the judge was squarely on his side, rejecting her arguments.

California courts favor joint custody, so the decision was in line with the law.

We got Ciara leaving court, and she was mum.

Alanis Morissette Business Manager Allegedly Screwed Her Out of Millions

Published | Updated

Alanis Morissette was fleeced to the tune of $4.7 million by her famous business manager ... so claims the company where the manager worked, claiming he used the money to fund a lavish and glitzy lifestyle.

GSO Business Management claims Jonathan Schwartz, one of its business managers, took on Alanis as a client, in addition to other famous entertainers including Beyonce and Mariah Carey. According to the lawsuit, Alanis dumped Schwartz in 2016 and hired a new manager, who began investigating where her money went.

The suit claims $4.7 million could not be accounted for, and GSO confronted Schwartz, who told this story ... Alanis told him to withdraw the money so she could invest in a marijuana growing business and he obliged by giving the money to her reps. GSO says his story didn't check out. The suit says Alanis vehemently denies she ever asked Schwartz to invest in the pot biz.

The suit claims Schwartz stole the money to support an opulent lifestyle, including a $50,000 vacation to Bora Bora and paying off a $75,000 gambling debt at a casino in the Bahamas.

The lawsuit doesn't mention Alanis by name -- it just refers to a "former client" -- but sources connected with the singer tell us she's the victim.

According to the suit, Alanis threatened to sue GSO and it wants Schwartz to pay any judgment. Since he was a partner the firm needs a court order, which it is seeking, to kick him out of the firm.

The firm insists Schwartz was acting on his own and was a "disgrace." GSO says Schwartz went rogue and acted on his own, without the firm's knowledge or consent.

THE CONFRONTATION

Mike Epps believed for a minute someone from LAX jacked thousands of dollars from him, and it got heated between the actor and the cops.

Mike had been sitting in the Delta boarding area and apparently an envelope filled with cash fell out of his carry-on. We're told a custodian found the envelope, opened it and saw the money ... then immediately called cops to report it.

Law enforcement tells us the cops took the envelope, and a short time later Epps approached an officer and said he lost an envelope filled with $25,000 in cash.

When the officer gave Epps the envelope there was less than $12k inside, and the actor got upset, as you can see from the video. We're told Epps then said he wasn't sure, but there was at least $15k inside.

We're told Epps called his wife and manager, who both said they didn't think there was more than $12k inside. Epps still wasn't convinced, but didn't want to make a big deal of it ... so he left.

2:02 PM PT -- Epps just called LAX police back and said he's square ... the correct amount of money was in the envelope.

Justin Bieber Sued It's Too Late to Say Sorry You Owe Us $650k!

Published | Updated

Zut alors! Justin Bieber just got sued in Montreal by a promotional company that says he destroyed its biz with one little tweet.

The promoter, Team Productions, says they had a deal for Justin to do an appearance at Beach Club last August. JB was supposed to do a couple songs and then hang out with fans -- but the event was scrapped.

Team Productions says it paid Bieber $250k when he signed the deal, and promised another $175k right before the event. But TP says it noticed Justin wasn't pumping up the gig on his social media ... as the contract required him to do.

The promoter says Justin demanded they pay the rest of the money or he wouldn't show -- but since Justin wasn't plugging, Team Productions wanted a discount. Negotiations started, but failed ... leading Justin to tweet on the morning of the event he would be bagging out because the promoter lied.

Our Bieber sources claim TP didn't have the $175k balance when it came time to pay -- even though it had been using Justin's name to promote. TP insists it had the cash, but just wanted the cut rate.

Team Productions says it's been branded a liar and as a result no one wants to work with them. They want at least $650k in damages.

Justin Bieber Don't Cry for Me Argentina I'm Afraid to Perform

Published | Updated

Justin Bieber wants to expand his world tour to include a stop in Argentina, but he and his people have decided it's just too risky ... TMZ has learned.

We're told the Purpose Tour has been so successful, Bieber is expanding to South America, Japan and Australia. But Argentina poses problems, because a judge in the country previously issued an arrest warrant against Bieber, to question him about a pending criminal case involving one of his bodyguards.

As we reported, the warrant was pulled, so technically Bieber can return. Problem is ... the assault case against the bodyguard is ongoing, and Bieber is worried the judge may go rogue and have him arrested in connection with the case.

The only thing that could change Bieber's mind ... if the judge issues a declaration that the singer is free to return without fear of being hauled in for questioning.
