R. Kelly Sued I Believe He Can Pay For Backing Out Of Show

Published | Updated

R. Kelly pissed off a concert promoter by pulling out of an upcoming show, and stiffing the guy on his hefty deposit ... this according to the promoter who just hit Kelly with a Texas-sized lawsuit.

Darryl Austin says he hand delivered a $100k deposit to Kelly's team in January for him to headline an April concert in Dallas. According to the docs ... when February rolled around R. Kelly's rep played dumb and claimed to know nothing about the show.

Austin says the real insult came when the self-proclaimed Pied Piper of R&B returned the deposit ... $30,000 SHORT!!

Austin wants the court to either force Kelly to do the show ... or pay back the dough.

Justin Bieber Sued for Allegedly Smacking Limo Driver

Published | Updated

Justin Bieber has been sued by a limo driver who claims Bieber smacked him in the head 6 times because the guy wouldn't crank up the volume on the radio ... but the driver has a problem, and its all about race.

Abdul Mohar wants $850K from the Biebs for the December, 2013 incident in Toronto ... according to the Toronto Star. Bieber and his gang were in the back of the limo when the the driver claims he was repeatedly struck.

Bieber was criminally charged with the incident. You may recall the insane scene when Bieber turned himself in. Ultimately prosecutors dropped the case because they were pretty sure they couldn't get a conviction.

Here's Mr. Mohar's problem ... when he called 911 he reportedly told the dispatcher his assailant was black. When cops arrived the driver changed his tune, saying the smacker "looked like a Justin Bieber kind of guy."

Advantage Biebs?

OT Genasis got busted in L.A., but not for what you think.

The dude who has drug abusers and clean folk alike singing "I'm in Love with the Coco" was pulled over Wednesday night for blowing a red. Cops ran his license and, voila ... 2 arrest warrants.

We're told the warrants were for traffic violations, so he was taken to the station and booked.

The good news ... OT seems to be making bank off his song. He has Tahoe money, and a new one at that.

Rich Homie Quan Dramatic Boat Escape ... Is a Lie!!!!!!

Published | Updated

There is no Santa Claus, aliens aren't real and Rich Homie Quan did NOT escape in a speedboat from the scene of an alleged assault ... so yeah, everything you've ever believed is pretty much a lie.

RHQ is still a wanted man in Miami Beach, FL for allegedly decking a security guard who didn't let him into a club. According to the police report, Quan "fled east towards the dock where he boarded a boat in Dock 14 and took off."

But people who were on the boat tell TMZ, that didn't happen. We're told RHQ did indeed board a yacht ... but that he partied there for at least an hour, in plain view, before taking off.

No arrests have been made, but the bodyguard isn't waiting around ... he's already filed a lawsuit against RHQ.

Darius McCrary Ex-Wife Perjures Herself Retracts Claim of Violence Against Son

Published | Updated

Darius McCrary's ex-wife says she lied when she swore under oath he beat his kid.

Karrine "Superhead" Steffans filed legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- admitting she perjured herself when she joined forces with Darius' baby mama in a child support war over their young son. Karrine claimed she saw her ex beat the boy with a spoon.

But Karrine had a change of heart, and filed new legal docs saying she lied because she was "hurt and upset" over their divorce. Tell that to a judge in a perjury case.

Sometimes allies can shoot you in the foot.

A$AP Mob Sued Over Crowd Surfing Disaster

Published | Updated

A$AP Mob hurled themselves into a packed crowd in Hollywood and allowed concertgoers to do the same ... and a woman claims they left her in a world of hurt.

The group is being sued by a woman who attended their concert at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood back in 2013. Tammy Nguyen claims she was a VIP at the show when A$AP Mob took the stage at around 11PM. There was lots of crowd surfing during the evening, but it really intensified.

She says A$AP members, including Darold Ferguson, Jr. -- better known as A$AP Ferg -- were diving in the crowd, along with a bunch of fans. When Ferguson jumped, Nguyen says he nailed her. And what's worse, she says she had to fight her way through the crowd to get out, and security didn't help.

She's suing the group and Ferguson.

Taraji P. Henson I Apologize to the Cop My Son Wasn't Profiled

Published | Updated

Taraji P. Henson just gave a public mea culpa, profusely apologizing to a police officer she accused of racism.

The "Empire" actress had accused a Glendale cop of profiling her son during a traffic stop, but the Glendale PD blew her claim out of the water by releasing dash cam video of the stop, and the cop could not have been nicer. In fact, he let Taraji's son, Marcel Johnson, skate on a traffic violation and possession of Ritalin without a prescription.

Taraji now says, "I would like to publicly apologize to the officer and the Glendale Police Department. A mother's job is not easy and neither is a police officer's."

She adds, "Sometimes as humans WE overreact without gathering all of the facts. As a mother in this case I overreacted and for that I apologize."

Our translation ... Marcel probably wasn't exactly straight with his mom on what went down.

Taraji ends by saying, "Thank you to that officer for being kind to my son."

Smart move.

Prince Sued for Allegedly Poaching 'Voice' Contestant

Published | Updated

Prince shamelessly stole a recording artist away from the producer who discovered Lady Gaga ... and her company is now going after The Purple One in court ... this according to legal docs filed by fame music producer, Jolene Cherry.

Singer Judith Hill made a name for herself on "The Voice" in 2013. Sony got interested in her. Ditto Cherry, who says she also first eyed Lady Gaga. Sony and Cherry partnered and claim they signed her to an exclusive recording deal.

According to the lawsuit ... a few months ago, Cherry heard rumblings that Hill was meeting with Prince for a recording session. Cherry claims she warned Judith to stop earlier this month, only to learn that she and Prince recorded an entire album -- 11 songs -- and released it Monday as a free Internet download.

Cherry is now going after Prince with a vengeance, courtesy of her lawyer Larry Stein, asking not only for regular damages but punitive damages for underhandedness.

Judith's attorney Peter Haviland tells us Cherry's suit is simply a publicity stunt ... since Judith already has a pending lawsuit to confirm she is free from Cherry. He adds, "Prince has done absolutely nothing wrong. Judith was and is absolutely free to perform her music as she has done."

Taraji P. Henson's Son Police Video Shoots Down Racial Profiling Claim

Published | Updated

Taraji P. Henson says her son was racially profiled by cops on 2 different occasions -- but police video of one of the incidents completely refutes that claim ... because the officer could NOT have been nicer.

The "Empire" star recently complained her 20-year-old son Marcel Johnson was pulled over by a Glendale, CA officer who illegally searched the car, cited him for marijuana possession, but didn't ticket him for the original infraction.

Watch the dash cam video of the full stop ... the officer pulls over Marcel for allegedly failing to yield at a crosswalk. When the officer asks Marcel if he has anything illegal in the car ... he confesses he has some marijuana. The officer actually thanked him for being honest.

When you see the clip ... it's hard to say the cop had it out for Marcel. As for the alleged illegal search ... the officer says he smelled the weed -- which alone would give him probable cause, plus Marcel copped to it.

Taraji says the 2nd incident went down at USC when police allegedly stopped Marcel for "having his hands in his pockets." No video of that one yet.

Cookie's rarely wrong, but this time it looks like she is ... or maybe her son gave her bum info about the Glendale incident. We've got a call into her rep.

Shayanna Jenkins took the stand in Aaron's murder case moments ago and was asked if she ever discussed Lloyd's death with him.

Jenkins explained she asked Aaron about it when he first arrived home from the police station -- saying, "I asked him if he did it and he said 'No.' That was the extent of our conversation."

According to reports, Jenkins turned to Hernandez and mouthed the words "I love you" to Aaron as she walked out of the courtroom.

Gwen Stefani Obsessed Fan Went to My Dad's House To Read a Creepy Letter

Published | Updated

A Gwen Stefani fan is tracking her every move, lying in wait outside her parents' house, and leaving creepy letters and gifts for her ... according to a restraining order filed by Gwen's dad.

Dennis Stefani filed docs requesting protection from a man named Richard Portnoy -- who Dennis says has popped up outside his home and Gwen's home 3 times -- twice in February and once last week.

Dennis says he and his wife are terrified Portnoy will show up at their house again ... especially after one bizarre run-in. He says Portnoy made face-to-face contact with him at his house and read a letter to him about his feelings for Gwen.

Even creepier, Gwen's dad says Portnoy has information about when and where Gwen gets medical treatments -- and attempted to make contact with her during an appointment on March 16.

TMZ broke the story ... police responded to the medical office and tried to locate Portnoy, but came up empty. Dad doesn't say anything about how Portnoy is getting intel on Gwen and the family ... but says they have no prior relationship.

Dennis was granted the restraining order -- which protects Gwen, Gavin Rossdale, their 3 kids ... plus Dennis and his wife Patricia. Portnoy has to stay 100 yards away from them, and have no contact.

Fred Durst I Did NOT 'Kill Em All'

Published | Updated

Fred Durst is not a deranged alleged murderer who might have confessed on an HBO series to killing 3 people -- that's the OTHER guy named Durst.

Ever since Robert Durst's story exploded on 'The Jinx' ... Fred's name has been coming up more and more. In fact, an initial report about Robert mistakenly called him "a member of a band."

It took the Limp Bizkit frontman a bit to respond, but Fred finally posted a pic of himself wearing a sweatshirt that says "NOT ROBERT."

We can all agree ... Limp Bizkit might be bad, but it ain't murder. Allegedly.

Dr. Luke Prove The Abuse ... Turn Over Kesha's Medical Records

Published | Updated

Dr. Luke is demanding Kesha produce medical records to prove he repeatedly sexually and physically abused her ... but the pop star is begging the court to shut down his request.

According to the docs ... Kesha's ex-producer wants her to turn over all texts, emails, and any communications in which she may have accused him of abuse, drugging or date raping her on a private jet.

Kesha says providing that info would be a waste of time ... since she's asked a judge to toss Luke's lawsuit against her. But until there's a ruling ... Dr. Luke's pressing forward.

He also wants any and all records from Kesha's 2014 rehab stint. Presumably, he thinks they'll help prove her allegations are all a fairy tale.

Malik came on TMZ Live to set the record straight, telling us he spent money to find the blogger behind the false report -- which unfortunately spread like crazy on the Internet. He assured us he's never had any issues with substance abuse ... a claim he says anyone he's ever worked with would support.

In fact, Malik explained how "Empire" creator Lee Daniels had his back when the rumor started spreading.

As for the blogger ... Malik told us the guy promised to post a retraction -- which he did early Thursday afternoon.

Rich Homie Quan Alleged Victim Not So Fast 007 ... I'm Suing!

Published | Updated

We hope Rich Homie Quan likes his lawsuits shaken and not stirred ... the security guard he allegedly beat unconscious in Miami is now dragging him to court.

According to docs ... Christian Cajigas says he's been disfigured and left in intense physical pain and is suing for the attack that he says left him beaten to a bloody pulp outside LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach.

As TMZ previously reported ... last Saturday RHQ and his boys were allegedly turned away by Cajigas at the club, and that didn't sit well with James Quan-d who allegedly wailed on him before taking off on a speedboat like James Bond.

Cajigas and his attorney Eric Hertz -- the same guy who represented the woman Tim McGraw slapped -- are asking for an unspecified amount of cash ... but it definitely sounds like a lot.

That boat ride could end up pricey.
