Shayne Lamas and husband Nik Richie not only tragically lost their 20-week-old unborn baby last week ... Nik was put through one of the most heart-wrenching moments a father can bear -- having to name and hold the baby after it died.

TMZ broke the story ... Shayne suffered a rare pregnancy complication last week and underwent an emergency hysterectomy to save her life and stop the massive bleeding. In the process, she lost her baby.

Nik tells TMZ ... a few days after the baby died, a social worker from the hospital, along with someone involved in the religion affiliated with the hospital, came to him and asked if he wanted to know the gender of his baby. He said yes, and they told him the baby was "a beautiful boy."

But then Nik says, he was asked if he wanted to view his son to get closure. Nik says he nervously obliged and was taken to a room where his son lay. Nik says they asked him to hold the baby while they prayed.

But it wasn't over. Nik was then told he needed to name his child so they could fill out a birth certificate. Nik, who was overwrought with emotion, told them he always wanted a son named Rex, so he named the boy Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie. He chose Jagger because of Mick.

Nik says he's glad he got to see his son but it was the hardest thing he's ever done.

As for Shayne ... Nik says she doing better but -- after a medically-induced coma and a cardiac arrest scare -- she's still in ICU and in danger.

Nik wrote a letter to his son, that he asked us to share.

In the 10-15 times Lindsay Lohan did cocaine ... her mom was not sharing ... so claims her outraged lawyer.

Lindsay is pissed over a Fox News Channel segment, in which the host says, "Lindsay Lohan's mom is doing cocaine with her." Attorney Mark Heller says it's a lie.

Heller wrote a letter to FNC, saying it's shocking that Lindsay and her mom were lumped in with the various celebs who died of ODs.

Heller claimed the FNC host was trying to "maliciously foreshadow to the viewers that the Commentators could 'see it coming.'" In other words, he's saying the message was that Lindsay would bite the dust just like Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Lindsay's lawyer suggests that reports like these create an "emotional weakening" for celebs who have a big drug problem. Good thing Lindsay's been coke free except for a dozen or so times.

Brooke Mueller is desperately trying to stop a test that could show her substance abuse caused serious damage to her twin boys ... so claims the twins' father, Charlie Sheen.

Sources connected to their custody war tell TMZ ... Brooke had agreed to have Bob and Max tested for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), but at the last second she did an about face and filed legal docs to block the test.

Brooke claims the kids are fine, so there's no need for a test.

Charlie vehemently disagrees, claiming the kids have real issues and an FAS test could help in the treatment.

TMZ broke the story ... Denise Richards told DCFS Bob and Max tortured the family dog and viciously attacked her two daughters, strangling and punching them ... even throwing feces at one of them. And the kids were violent at school, hurting other kids and punching a teacher in the face

Charlie and Brooke will fight it out in court Thursday. The judge could order the FAS test.

Charlie Sheen has no issues with getting married for the 4th time -- despite all the evidence that he should -- but he does have two major hangups.

It's all about his testicles -- and keeping them in working order for Brett Rossi. Lucky girl.

They've played for popes, presidents and even Whoopi Goldberg ... but this weekend, the Harlem Globetrotters got to pull out some of their best tricks for Britney Spears' kids.

Sean and Jayden James -- who look A LOT like their dad Kevin Federline these days -- got to meet some of the players before their big game at Staples Center in L.A.

We're told Britney wasn't at the game -- but her father was ... so the kids got some quality time with grandpa.

As for the game itself, the Globetrotters took on the Washington Generals ... and won.

11:20 A.M. PT -- Kate just told TMZ she lied about the threats, saying "I regretfully tweeted while my emotions were high that I was being threatened by Michael with a knife, this was not the case." Major tells us she made it up because she feared Michael would take her son away.

Michael Lohan went ballistic and brandished a knife last night during his fight with baby mama Kate Major saying, "I'm going to kill you, bitch!" -- at least that's what Kate told cops -- but Michael's 911 call tells a different story.

TMZ has obtained the police report regarding the altercation last night at Michael's Florida house ... after Michael called 911, claiming Kate was drunk and acting erratically around their one-year-old son.

According to the report, when police arrived, Kate told them Michael had falsely accused her of drinking around their baby and a fight broke out. That's when Kate claims Michael grabbed a knife and threatened to kill her with it.

Kate told police she locked herself in a bedroom to get away from him ... and he tried to kick the door down. When he failed, Kate claims Michael went outside to the bedroom's sliding glass doors and made stabbing gestures at her.

Kate claims she tried to call police ... but her phone was broken ... even though she still managed to send out a bunch of tweets.

Charlie Sheen -- who is paying $110,000 a month in child support for his 4 minor children, may have been twice bitten but he's game to have more kids with his new fiancee.

Sheen tells TMZ ... he's absolutely open to having children with Brett Rossi. At 24 she's not experienced the joy of childbirth, and she wants a family. Charlie will accommodate her, but he says not right away. As Charlie put it, "I'm having way too much fun with her right now. So much fun it should be illegal."

Charlie says Brett has spent time with twins Bob and Max. He says she loves them and vice versa.

Charlie -- who's been married 3 times -- also tells us he WON'T demand a formal prenup from Brett. Charlie says, "Prenups poison marriages." According to Charlie, his form of prenup will be short and sweet ... one line: "You keep your s**t and I'll keep mine."

What makes it even more spectacular is that she's walking around in skintight leather pants.

Mind you baby Eric made his debut at 6 lbs 7 oz.

Simon Cowell has a male in his life that is actually showing more chest than him -- and his name is Eric.

It's a pretty shocking sight for a man who by all accounts has avoided parenthood for 54 years.

Simon boasted how handsome his son is, adding, "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel."

The gravy train appears to have come to a screeching halt for the mother of Diddy's firstborn son -- TMZ has learned, the bank is now foreclosing on her home.

According to new legal docs, Diddy purchased a swank 3-bedroom 3,215 sq. ft. house in Westchester, NY, back in 2003 for ex Misa Hylton-Brim -- the mother of his first child Justin -- but for some reason, the bank stopped getting payments in 2010.

According to legal docs, Diddy took out a $712,000 mortgage. As of 2010, he owed $622,518 ... a sum that's been accruing interest ever since.

Beyonce's dad is so far behind on child support payments for his illegitimate kid ... his baby mama is destitute and has to use food stamps to survive.

We're told Alexsandra Wright hasn't seen any money from Mathew Knowles since we posted our story back in December -- when he allegedly owed $24K. We're told he now owes $32,135.90.

Wright -- whose son is Beyonce's half-brother -- is now on public assistance ... and gets $300 a month on a state-issued EBT card to pay for food and other expenses.

Sources tell us Wright went to court for help ... but the judge is noodling over exactly what to do.

Michelle Obama and the extremely rich collided in the air Friday ... when the Aspen Airport apparently shut down for an hour to facilitate a fun-filled ski weekend for Michelle and her kids.

The First Lady flew in late yesterday to the ridiculously in-your-face show of wealth on the tarmac. According to the New York Post, the airport was shut down for security reasons and some private jet setters were just PISSED.

It's one of the most congested weekends of the year at the Aspen Airport ... several hundred jets descend on the ski city for the long President's Day weekend.

And speaking of presidents ... the current one was not there. He went to Cali to deal with the drought.

The singles band together for Valentine's Day -- Kylie and Khloe Kardashian lunched with Bruce Jenner near the family home in Calabasas.

Gotta say ... Bruce looks great -- better than he has in a long time.

Simon Cowell is officially a father ... his pregnant GF Lauren Silverman has finally popped in NYC.

36-year-old Silverman just gave birth to a healthy baby boy at Lenox Hill Hospital -- after Simon flew across the ocean from London to be by her side for the delivery. As we reported, Lauren went into labor early this morning and Simon hopped on a plane as soon as he heard.

We're told the baby was born at 5:45 PM EST at 6 pounds, 7 ounces.

The boy is 54-year-old Simon's first child and Lauren's second -- she also has an 8-year-old son with her ex Andrew Silverman.

So far, no word on the baby's name.

Lucas is on the receiving end of endless demands by his estranged wife, who has filed for divorce ... and most of them involve cold hard cash.

Josh's wife, Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, just filed legal docs asking for spousal support, child support, medical and dental coverage, lawyer's fees and life insurance.

For some reason Jessica -- a freelance writer -- wants to enforce their prenup ... so maybe she gets a good deal under the agreement.

Jessica is a little more generous when it comes to their 20-month-old son Noah -- she's asking for joint custody.
