On "House of Cards" Kevin Spacey deals in political payoffs all the time -- but Spacey says his real pockets are clean, and says a report claiming he was paid 8 mil for a photo with Mexico's President ... is total BS.

After Spacey and President Enrique Pena Nieto took the selfie earlier this month in Cancun ... a report came out saying the actor was paid the 7-figure sum -- and a Mexican tourism official board confirmed to Forbes a payment was made, but refused to reveal the price.

However, Spacey says that's a load of crap ... tweeting, "Story about Mex Gov paying 8m or any amount for selfie not true!"

Joel McHale does not picture himself as the new host of "The Late Late Show," although he does picture himself with the guy who will decide who gets the gig.

A big rumor flared up this week after Joel took a pic with CBS Prez Les Moonves and Julie Chen at the Up Fronts in NYC ... and Julie tweeted it.

We got Joel at LAX Friday and he made it clear -- sadly -- it was nothing more than a picture.

Moonves hasn't said he's ruling Joel out, but did point out he just wanted to meet the dude during a party in NYC and took the picture -- nothing more.

Here's the thing. Joel would be awesome as the host ... just sayin'.

BTW ... Moonves dissed smuggy Neil Patrick Harris, who said earlier this week he had been offered the "Late Late Show" gig but turned it down. Moonves told a reporter he had a very general conversation with Harris but never offered him the job. Humble brag backfire, Doogie.

Jay Z and Solange are finally addressing the infamous elevator fight video ... saying BOTH sides are to blame for the violence that unfolded.

Jay Z, Solange, and Beyonce released the joint statement moments ago, saying, "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

The statement continues, "The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different."

"We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."

The statement still doesn't explain what caused the fight, but Jay and Solange say they have worked through it.

Days after purging all Beyonce photos from her Instagram page (except for one), Solange posted a childhood photo of the two as part of Throwback Thursday.

Beyonce started the Instagram reconciliation trend on Wednesday, when she posted four photos of herself with Solange ... three of them caption-free.

The Internet continues to search through social media to find some meaning behind the Jay Z/Solange elevator fight ... and Beyonce's non-reaction to the whole thing ... so perhaps this means the two are trying to bury the hatchet.

Sorry fellas, Nicki Minaj is not on the market -- TMZ has learned despite a cryptic tweet suggesting otherwise, Nicki is still very much with her man.

Nicki got everyone all heated by posting a photo of her foot in a pink and clear shoe with the caption: "SINGLE N READY TO MINGLE."

Conspiracy theorists also dug up a photo of fiancé Safaree Samuels' Instagram with the caption, "Trust nobody."

But TMZ has learned Minaj and Samuels just had a small dispute (like all couples) ... and the pic was definitely intended to piss him off -- but we're told everything between them is fine now.

Besides, Samuels has Nicki tatted all over his body ... where's he gonna go?

If a picture says a thousand words, what do four pictures say?

In the first "response" of any kind since the blowout fight between Solange and Jay Z, Beyonce posted four photos of her with her sister to her Instagram page early Wednesday morning.

Only one of the photos was captioned and it merely said, "good morning."

It's curious ... since Beyonce merely stood by and watched Solange go ballistic on Jay Z. Is she saying she's taking Solange's side in all this? Is she saying she supports her sister despite her being completely in the wrong?

The Internet thinks it has solved the mystery of the Solange Knowles/Jay Z elevator fight, but TMZ has learned the tweet is a fraud.

Shortly after TMZ posted the insane video of Solange losing it -- a photo of a tweet emerged in which Solange accuses Jay Z of hitting Beyonce ... and the image was forwarded over and over again yesterday.

But the tweet in question was never really posted on Solange's Twitter feed, and never even existed -- IT'S A TOTAL FAKE. Solange's rep tells TMZ, "I can confirm that Solange did not tweet that; that is not a real tweet."

But as far as theories go ... it's worth noting that Solange has deleted all Instagram photos with Beyonce in them ... except for one.

The mystery lives on ...

Jay Z and Beyonce are sitting courtside TOGETHER at the Brooklyn Nets playoff game in NYC tonight ... clearly sending a message they're still on the same team after the big elevator fight with B's sister.

The couple didn't get to their seats until the 2nd quarter. Once they sat down, they were smiling and acting like their usual couply selves ... and even chatted it up with LeBron James like nothing was wrong.

We broke the story earlier today ... B's sister Solange went bersek on Jay in a hotel elevator on May 4th ... kicking and punching him like crazy while B stood by and watched.

Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce's sister Solange  ... who was wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator ... and the attack was captured on surveillance video ... obtained by TMZ.

According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC.  In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack.

A large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard -- attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times.  At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her.  Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved.

And this is interesting.  When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight private.

At one point, Solange smacks Jay with her purse ... spilling the contents all over the floor of the elevator.

Eventually the group exits the elevator ... but not before Solange takes a few last shots.

All three walked out of the building together -- Solange looks pissed -- but while Bey and Solange get in one car ... security walks Jay to a different one.

It's unclear what triggered the fight.

Lindsay Lohan has sworn under penalty of perjury she suffered a miscarriage ... which means she better be telling the truth, or she could land in jail.

Lindsay made the declaration in new court docs in a $5 million lawsuit over her clothing line 6126.

You'll recall, Lindsay was given a reprieve from responding to the lawsuit while she was in rehab last year -- but even after getting out she failed to respond ... so she lost the case.

Lindsay wants to undo the damage and she's using her miscarriage as an excuse.

In the new court docs, Lindsay writes, "I have been overwhelmed since leaving rehab and dealing with my sobriety and a miscarriage."

There's been tons of speculation that Lindsay made up the miscarriage story to garner buzz for her Oprah show -- or maybe just to get sympathy votes -- but these are legal documents ... which means she's under oath.

If it comes out that Lindsay lied in the docs ... under penalty of perjury ... she could face jail time.

Diane Keaton is calling BS on Woody Allen's daughter Dylan Farrow ... who has accused him of molesting her ... telling a UK magazine his adopted daughter was just looking for headlines.

Keaton was promoting her new memoir with the UK Guardian ... and said she's not angry at Dylan for villainizing her in a February NY Times op-ed.

Dylan blasted D.K. for honoring Woody at the Golden Globes saying, “You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?"

Keaton explains, "What are they going to do? Who else are they going to drag in? They have to drag someone in. I don't resent it, not for a second."

But the reporter pushed back ... looking for comment on Farrow accusing Diane of publicly defending a child molester. Keaton responded, saying, "I have nothing to say about that. Except: I believe my friend."

We're guessing this won't sit well with the Farrow family.

Suge Knight just fired a metaphorical shot at P. Diddy ... telling us he's a "bitch ass" who should be getting more heat for plotting to kill Tupac Shakur.

Suge was leaving 1Oak last night when he unleashed a rant about the Tupac shooting, saying ... "Everybody know off the top, I ain't the n**** killed Tupac. I'm the n**** protected Tupac!"

Then he points a finger directly at Diddy -- "Bitch ass Puffy can get him a mutha******* star (on the Walk of Fame), and every rat in the world say he's the one who killed Tupac, or had him shot."

As for why no one's been charged in 'Pac's death -- even though an inmate confessed in 2012 -- Suge's explanation is simple ... "Tupac's not dead!"

"Glee" star Jane Lynch either knows Naya Rivera was fired from "Glee," but didn't know everyone else knew ... or didn't know Naya Rivera was fired from "Glee" and just heard the rumor for the first time ... or knows Naya Rivera was NOT fired from "Glee," but hadn't heard the rumor that she was ...

Rumors have been swirling all week, ever since TMZ first reported that Naya and Lea Michele got into a HUGE argument on the set of the show.

We tried to ask Lynch about it yesterday ... but we can't tell what she's saying in the video.

The George Clooney has taken great pains to NOT discuss his personal life ... but his fiancee's law firm just blew the lid off of George's secret.

Amal Alamuddin's firm just issued a statement congratulating the happy couple.

The statement reads, "The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr George Clooney on their engagement to be married."

Alamuddin is a big-time international lawyer, who has represented big names, including Julian Assange.

Clooney and Alamuddin dined at Nobu Thursday in Malibu and she was spotted wearing what LOOKED like an engagement ring ... sparking rumors that Alamuddin locked down the man that many, many women were unable to lock down before her.

Well done, Amal. Well done.

If Orlando Bloom and Selena Gomez were upset when their wife and boyfriend respectively got all snuggly with each other ... they seem to have had the last laugh.

Orlando and Selena were chilling outside of the Chelsea Handler concert Saturday in L.A. ... but when a photog started snapping pics, Bloom quickly bounced.

It's interesting ... Justin Bieber and Bloom's ex-wife Miranda Kerr got VERY close during and after a 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show ... a number of stories suggested VERY close.

French Montana and Khloe Kardashian either sunk to a new low -- or were totally brilliant -- in their use of a panhandler to shield them from cameras this weekend.

You gotta watch this video of them leaving Crustacean -- as Khloe darts for her SUV, she stops to give the panhandler some money ... she even takes a photo with him.
