ANGELINA JOLIE POSTURA FIRME SOBRE ISRAEL y PALESTINA El bombardeo de Gaza no está justificado

Published

Angelina Jolie Strong Stance on Israel-Palestine ... Gaza Bombing Not Justified

Published | Updated

Angelina Jolie is drawing a line in the sand on the Israel-Palestine issue -- and considering her well-documented humanitarian work worldwide ... her position here is interesting.

The actress -- who's moved into more of a public service role over the past decade or so -- posted a lengthy statement this weekend addressing the war in the Middle East ... and she says quite clearly, the ongoing offensive that Israel's undertaking in Gaza isn't right.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

She starts by sympathizing with Israelis that were victimized in the Oct. 7 terrorist attack carried out by Hamas -- saying, like millions of others, she too was sickened/angry about all those who were killed, especially kids ... adding she prays for the safe return of hostages.

However, she then writes this ... "What happened in Israel is an act of terror. But that cannot justify the innocent lives lost in bombing a civilian population in Gaza that has nowhere to go, no access to food or water, no possibility of evacuation, and not even the basic human right to cross a border to seek refuge."

AJ cites her many years of experience in this field, saying that there is a desperate need for aid in the area -- and that Israel's response is only making matters worse. She adds, "The denial of aid, fuel and water is collectively punishing a people. Humanity demands an immediate ceasefire. Palestinian and Israeli lives -- and the lives of all people globally -- matter equally. Anything that can prevent civilian casualties and save lives must be done."

Angelina goes on to say she's donated to medical relief efforts for Gaza, and spotlighted Doctors Without Borders as an org she's supporting and following at this time.

As far as how Israel's proceeding at this point ... it looks like it's full steam ahead. Their ground operation into Gaza is intensifying -- and PM Benjamin Netanyahu has said this now marks the "second stage" of what he says is going to be a long and difficult war.

Gaza is in a blackout at the moment -- with no lines of communication to the outside world -- something Elon Musk says he'll help fix with Internet access ... albeit, only to internationally recognized humanitarian groups in the area ... something Israel strongly objects to.

The U.S. certainly feels divided on this conflict -- and there have been fierce protests and demonstrations on both sides ... with a notable pro-Palestine sentiment in the streets.

As for Angelina ... she's taken a firm stance. Basically, she's telling Israel to stand down.

Elon Musk Offering Starlink Help in Gaza ... Israeli Govt. Objects

Published | Updated

update

3:27 PM PT -- The State of Israel is fuming over Elon's pledge to help Gaza -- with its Minister of Communications saying his attempt to intervene is only going to bolster terrorists.

Shlomo Karhi took to Twitter to write, "Israel will use all means at its disposal to fight this.  HAMAS will use it for terrorist activities. There is no doubt about it, we know it, and musk knows it. HAMAS is ISIS."

He adds, "Perhaps Musk would be willing to condition it with the release of our abducted babies, sons, daughters, elderly people. All of them!  By then, my office will cut any ties with starlink."

Elon, meanwhile, has responded ... "We are not so naive.   Per my post, no Starlink terminal has attempted to connect from Gaza.   If one does, we will take extraordinary measures to confirm that it is used *only* for purely humanitarian reasons.  Moreover, we will do a security check with both the US and Israeli governments before turning on even a single terminal."

Elon Musk is coming to the rescue in Gaza -- which is currently being infiltrated by Israel ... and which is effectively cut off from the world in terms of communication and connection.

The multibillionaire tech boss announced this weekend that he'd be lending his Starlink satellite services to people on the ground there ... which will provide Internet access amid a blackout in the area as Israeli forces move in amid their delayed ground operation.

Elon actually broke the news in response to one of his famed foes, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- who was decrying the fact that Israel had made Gaza go totally dark overnight.

Seemingly unprovoked, EM responded directly to the NY congresswoman, writing ... "Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza." He went on to reiterate this with others, highlighting the UN as one of the orgs that'd get connected.

Of course, his specificity here speaks to the fact that Hamas terrorists are still all throughout Gaza -- which is who the Israelis are attempting to root out and eradicate ... despite an overwhelming call for a ceasefire worldwide, which has erupted into pro-Palestine protests.

In trying to find the ones responsible for the Oct. 7 attack on Israel -- which claimed more than 1,400 innocent lives -- thousands of Palestinians have been killed in retaliation.

The war has become incredibly polarizing, especially here in the States ... but Elon's stepping up and seemingly showing some compassion for Palestinians caught in the middle of this.

Bella Hadid Habla sobre Israel y Hamás... "Intrincado y horrible"

Published | Updated

Bella Hadid Speaks Out About Israel & Hamas ... 'Intricate And Horrific'

Published | Updated

Bella Hadid is speaking out for the first time on the ongoing attacks in the Middle East ... saying the last 2 weeks have been nothing short of a horror show, condemning terrorism across the board.

The model, who is part Palestinian, spoke her mind Thursday, first by writing, "Forgive me for my silence" ... before admitting it's been tough to find the words for the "deeply intricate and horrific past 2 weeks."

She says the death and destruction happening in Israel and Palestine shifted the world's focus "back towards a situation that has been taking innocent lives and affecting families for decades" -- adding, "The people and children of Palestine, especially in Gaza, cannot afford our silence."

Bella says her "heart is bleeding with pain from the trauma" she's already seen online ... adding she's mourning alongside the families that are forever broken after seeing the aftermath of the Gaza airstrikes.

While she's mostly speaking in favor of Palestine, she adds, "I mourn for the Israeli families that have been dealing with the pain and aftermath of October 7," when Hamas terrorists first attacked Israel .... writing, "I condemn the terrorist attacks on any civilians, anywhere."

She also confirmed what sources told us last week -- she's gotten hundreds of death threats, and even had her own phone number leaked. Remember ... her sister, Gigi, also spoke out, and was met with disdain over her pro-Palestinian stance.

Gigi came under fire directly by the State of Israel's social media account for her comments, too.

Fitness Trainer 'Proud' To Tear Down Poster Of Kidnapped Israeli Kids

Published | Updated

A fitness instructor is being accused of tearing down a poster of kidnapped Israeli kids outside a popular Los Angeles gym  ... and he says he's "proud" to be doing it.

The incident went down Wednesday outside the iconic Gold's Gym in Venice -- the man crumpled up the poster and chucked it in the trash. He's asked about why he ripped it down, telling the man filming he's proud of himself, before adding "Get the f*** away."

The man in question has been identified as model and fitness trainer Zaid Shaat -- his social media profiles say he's a "Lifetime Natural Athlete," and that he loves to "motivate people to live a healthy lifestyle. I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals and dreams."

Worth mentioning that Joe Gold, the founder of Gold's Gym, was Jewish ... and folks online have been letting Shaat have it over what he did outside the L.A. hot spot.

As you know, Hamas first attacked Israel on Oct. 7 killing thousands and taking more than 200 civilians hostage -- all of which sparked war as Israel retaliates.

The problem, and growing controversy, involves the deaths of civilian Palestinians killed as Israel launches airstrikes into Gaza aiming of snuffing out Hamas.

Tráelos a casa, Biden

Published | Updated

Hollywood To Hamas Release All Hostages!!! Bring Them Home, Biden

Published | Updated

Tons of Hollywood stars are banding together to pressure Hamas to release all hostages taken by the terrorist group in Gaza ... and they're asking President Biden to help make it happen.

Tiffany Haddish, Bradley Cooper, Justin Timberlake, Chris Rock, and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the big names who signed an open letter to Biden, which calls on Hamas to set all prisoners free.

The open letter is part of a new campaign out of Hollywood, led by Jewish celebs and executives, called #NoHostageLeftBehind.

It's a truly extraordinary number of Hollywood honchos who have signed on, and it's clearly well-intentioned ... but what's clearly lacking is how the letter brings Hamas hostages home ... not that we're expecting celebs to figure that out.

Seems Hollywood is looking to the White House for a hand here ... the letter also thanks Biden for his leadership in bringing home two American hostages Friday ... though the celebs say their "relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death."

Hamas also released two Israeli hostages on Monday, but their spouses still remain in captivity.

The letter concludes ... "We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages. We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released."

Dave Chappelle Gets Offer to Meet with Jewish Group After Israel Comments

Published

Dave Chappelle has angered many in the Jewish community after his remarks on Israel -- but one group advocating for them is extending an olive branch if he's willing to chat.

American Jewish Committee spokesperson Richard Hirschhaut tells TMZ ... they'd love to have a sit-down with Dave to help him understand why so many people were upset, and how he can better navigate this topic next time around.

The AJC, a global advocacy organization, says Dave's first attempt to discuss Israel-Palestine -- during his Boston show last week -- missed the mark and adds ... "Dave Chappelle prides himself on precision of language and moral clarity. His comments uttered during last Friday's show at TD Garden failed on both counts."

They tell us his initial condemnation of Hamas was great -- but that he should have stopped there. AJC continues, "By criticizing Israel's retaliatory strikes and accusing the US of aiding the slaughter of innocent people, Chappelle turns truth on its head. Make no mistake, the slaughter of innocents is precisely what Hamas did on October 7th."

Of course, there've been innocent Palestinians who've been killed in the aftermath of all this as well -- upwards of 4,300, in fact, depending on which tallies you look at. The original Hamas attack claimed around 1,400 or so innocent Israeli lives.

In any case, the AJC thinks DC needs to be more precise with his language -- and they also believe he should know better at such a volatile time. According to them, his encouraging of people to shout "Free Palestine" creates a hostile and dangerous environment for Jewish people, and they say if that happens again, it's incumbent on him to ask what that means.

In their mind, the answer is obvious ... Free Palestine boils down to eliminating Israel.

Still, Richard says his org "would welcome an opportunity to meet with Chappelle and his team in an effort to help deepen his understanding of the current situation and enable him to be a source of more light than heat going forward."

CHAPPELLE'S CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS

Based on Dave's track record with other controversies ... the AJC probably shouldn't hold its collective breath. He doesn't tend to apologize, nor does he often feel the need to sit down with anyone after something like this.

Another org repping Jewish interests -- StandWithUs -- has some strong words for Dave. Roz Rothstein, the co-founder and CEO says, "If the reports about Chappelle's comments are correct, it is deeply disappointing that he has yet again used his platform to promote more division, misinformation, and hate regarding Israel and the Jewish people. We applaud the audience members who spoke up and walked out of the show in protest."

Dave Chappelle Walk-Outs in Boston Over Israel Comments

Published | Updated

Dave Chappelle's comments on Israel-Palestine caused some attendees of a recent comedy show of his to walk out -- and it's because he said Israel is in the wrong in this conflict.

The comedian made the inflammatory remarks Thursday during a show in Boston -- where cell phones were confiscated -- and according to the Wall Street Journal ... he got into the Middle East topic toward the end of his set, where he seemed to mostly side with Palestine.

Per people who were apparently in attendance, DC launched in on this by first saying students who are publicly supporting Palestine shouldn't lose job offers -- which has been a thing lately -- which then led him to fully address the fighting going on overseas.

He reportedly condemned the terrorist attack on Israel that was carried out by Hamas, but then said the response/retaliation to Palestinians in Gaza has been disproportionate -- accusing Israel of committing war crimes with their bombing campaign ... and even claiming the U.S. was responsible for aiding and abetting "the slaughter of innocent civilians."

Amid these remarks, somebody in the audience told him to shut it ... which apparently ticked him off and caused him to lash out -- although what exactly he said isn't clear.

What WSJ says was communicated, generally, though was that Dave was angry about Israel cutting off water and electricity to Gaza ... while continuing to pound them with explosives.

As a result of this, it divided the audience ... some cheered "Free Palestine" and others pushed back with questions about Hamas. Eventually, some people straight up got up and left. Dave, meanwhile, supposedly ended by saying that two wrongs don't make a right.

102323_tmz_live_chappelle_1714891
CHAPPELLE'S CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS

Worth noting ... Dave's Muslim, which could be playing into this. And of course, this is far from the first time he's landed in controversy. His team's denying he was there ... but he was.

Terrorist Attack Father of 2 Kids Taken Hostage By Hamas Plays Audio of Attack

Published | Updated

The sounds of Hamas hostage-taking came to life in horrifying focus, when the father of two of the victims played audio of the moment his children were taken.

CNN's Erin Burnett spoke with Ilan Regev, who had recorded a call he had with his 21-year-old daughter, Maya, just as Hamas terrorists zeroed in on them during the October 7th attack.

Maya and her 18-year-old brother, were at the music festival when gunfire erupted. You hear her scream, "Dad, they shot me. They shot me. He is killing us. Dad, he is killing us."

Ilan tells his daughter to hide, assuring her that he's coming to get her. He jumped in his car, but when he arrived on scene, he was prohibited from entering.

Ilan breaks down as he listens to the audio and it's hard to watch. He wanted the audio aired so people don't forget what started this ever-escalating war.

PADRE DE DOS NIÑOS TOMADOS COMO REHENES POR HAMÁS REPRODUCE EL AUDIO DEL ATAQUE

Published | Updated

Shaun King Insists He Helped Free U.S. Hostages Despite Family Pushback

Published | Updated

A man known in social justice circles has claimed to have helped with the release of two American hostages amid the Israel-Hamas conflict -- but the family's calling BS.

Shaun King has been trending all weekend over a post he threw up Friday -- which seemed to be him taking credit, at least in part, for the safe return of Judith Raanan and her teenage daughter, Natalie Raanan.

King said he was grateful Natalie and her mother had been freed, adding ... "As I said last week, Natalie and her family have been supporters of mine and have protested police violence in America alongside us."

He continued, "I am also thankful for the Qatari government for helping to negotiate this. Dozens of us worked frantically behind the scenes to help make this possible."

King finished by saying ... "I spoke to Natalie's family this afternoon and they are anxiously awaiting more updates."

Well, his version of events apparently doesn't quite align with what the Raanan family's aware of -- 'cause they're saying they straight up don't know this guy. The family released a statement, saying ... "Today we came across bizarre posts on the Instagram page of one Shaun King, who turns out to have millions of followers, who claims that our relative Natalie Raanan supports the anti-Israeli messages he uploads to his page."

The family goes on ... "First and foremost, we make it clear that he is lying! Our family does not and did not have anything to do with him, neither directly nor indirectly. Not to him and not to anything he claims to represent." They go on to say Natalie has never met Shaun, and she first learned about him today amid all the speculation ... of which there's been much.

The Raanan family says folks shouldn't buy what King's selling ... and that his claims amount to misinformation -- which they say is spreading like wildfire. They also note they have more family members and loved ones in captivity that they're working to have released.

Now, as for King ... he's already defending himself by now sharing who exactly he spoke with -- and as it turns out, he says it was a brother of Natalie's ... going to post receipts of conversations he says he had with the guy, detailing his efforts to have her freed.

He also claims he just spoke to the Raanan family -- presumably the same people who released this blistering statement -- and insists they're being forced to distance themselves from him. So, at this point ... there seems to be conflicting accounts over what's going on.

King has been accused of inserting himself into high-profile situations like these in the past -- and there are certainly a lot of folks who don't believe him. Still, he's standing firm.

Dee Snider Politicians Can Use Twisted Anthem ... Just Don't Go Full QAnon!!!

Published

Dee Snider is cool with politicians on both sides using his band's anthem on the campaign trail ... but he's drawing a line when it comes to anyone spewing QAnon conspiracies.

We got the Twisted Sister frontman at LAX and our photog asked him where he stands on politicians playing "We're Not Gonna Take It" ... now that campaign season is about to heat up.

Dee says Republicans and Democrats have his blessing to play the song at rallies, appearances and in ads ... but says the same does not hold true for any candidates who go full QAnon.

The issue with QAnon for Dee ... it's all a bunch of lies and BS, and he feels there's already enough of that in the world.

Dee's made his feelings on QAnon well-known on social media over the years ... and he's doubling down here.

We also asked Dee how he feels about the U.S. military using the song as a battle cry now that another war has erupted ... and he explains why the armed forces are more than welcome to rock out to Twisted Sister.

Dee's even down with the Israel Defense Forces playing the anthem ... sharing his thoughts on what's happening in Gaza.
