'Rica Famosa Latina' Stars Hardcore Jiu-Jitsu Training ... At Famed MMA Gym

Published | Updated

With so much violence on reality TV, the chicks from "Rica Famosa Latina" have decided to get the upper hand -- by training in jiu jitsu at an MMA gym where Ronda Rousey gets down!!

It's no joke ... after the massive BRAWL at the premiere party last year (video below) Sandra Vidal and Victoria Del Rosal decided it was probably time to learn how to fight.

So, they hit up the famous Gracie Barra Burbank Monday for some real deal training in grappling ... since most reality show fights end up on the ground anyway.

FYI -- the gym is owned by ex-UFC fighter Alberto Crane ... and they don't mess around at this place.

We're told the ladies learned everything from punch defense to rear-naked chokes ... and their trainer Donny says they were "pretty good" for having no formal training.

Senoritas ... you've been warned.

SHE'D TAKE ME DOWN

Add one more person to the list of people who think UFC Women's champ Ronda Rousey could beat a man ... 'cause fellow fighter Joe Schilling says the pint-size punisher would totally kick HIS ass.

Joe was out in L.A. getting ready for his upcoming scrap at Bellator 136 on Spike-TV Friday when we asked if he thought he could take out Ronda (who's nearly 50 pounds lighter) in a real-life battle of the sexes.

"I think if I fought Ronda Rousey she'd probably Judo throw and submit me at some point."

Schilling says he ain't just spitballin' either ... he says he knows Rousey personally and she's definitely "the real deal."

He also says Rousey is the sexiest fighter in the world ... which could be why that armbar doesn't look so bad to him.

It does to us though ... looks like it hurts.

UFC 189 Presser Drunk Irish Guy Takes Mic ... Trash Talks Jose Aldo

Published | Updated

Two CLASSIC moments at the UFC 189 media event in Ireland moments ago -- when two fans hijacked the mic and started talking SMACK right to Jose Aldo ... and IT'S HILARIOUS!!!

FYI -- Dana White opened up the event for questions from the media (and only the media) about the fight between Ireland's own Conor McGregor and Aldo set for July.

That's when some drunk dude took the mic and started spouting off at the mouth ... asking Aldo," Do you know the word spank? 'Cause you're gonna get SPANKED!"

It went on for another minute ... funny stuff.

Then it gets BETTER -- when some little kid followed suit ... and demanded Aldo hand over the belt now, 'cause Conor's gonna beat his face in.

MMA Hero Phoenix Jones I Chased Down Stabbing Suspect Disarmed Alleged Bad Guy

Published | Updated

Real-life superhero Phoenix Jones claims he's saved the day again ... this time, the MMA fighter says he chased down a stabbing suspect in Connecticut and DISARMED the perp.

TMZ Sports has learned ... Jones -- a World Series of Fighting mixed martial artist -- real name Ben Fodor -- filled out a statement with the New Haven PD saying he was walking down the street Friday when, "I saw a man being chased who was bleeding from his face."

Fodor -- who made headlines as a real-life crime-fighter in Seattle -- says he put on his bulletproof vest and confronted a man he believed to be the "stabbing suspect."

Jones says the man then displayed a hunting knife ... so he proceeded to disarm the alleged bad guy. Once he believed the threat was neutralized, Jones says he went back and waited with the victim until medics arrived.

The 26-year-old undefeated MMA fighter says he captured the entire incident on his go-pro camera ... and handed the footage over to police.

Cops confirm a report was made -- but say they are still investigating the matter ... including Phoenix's role in the incident.

There's no bad blood between Dana White and Brock Lesnar after Brock turned down a UFC contract to sign with the WWE this week ... with Dana telling TMZ Sports he thinks Brock made the right move.

White says Lesnar handled the situation perfectly -- and even called up the UFC to give them a heads-up about his decision before he announced his deal with Vince McMahon.

"I think it's the right decision and I'm happy for him," White says ... "Vince gave him a deal he couldn't refuse at the right time in his life."

"I'm happy for Vince. I'm happy for Brock and I'm happy for his family. It's a great deal for everybody."

UFC's Conor McGregor We Don't Have Lucky Charms In Ireland ... It's Garbage!

Published | Updated

The only thing UFC badass Conor McGregor might hate more than Jose Aldo ... is Lucky Charms ... telling TMZ Sports it's not only NOT popular in his home country ... but it's TOTAL CRAP!!!

McGregor -- who's fighting Aldo at UFC 189 in Vegas in July -- was out in L.A when we asked about the cereal trends back in Ireland ... and Conor told us the "magically delicious" cereal couldn't be further from an authentic Irish breakfast (shocking, we know).

Plus, Conor says ... "I don't eat those sugar filled pieces of garbage."

Bonus -- Irish Spring isn't popular in Ireland either.

Dana White Hey Laila, Call Me! Let's Make Rousey Fight Happen

UFC honcho Dana White has a message for Laila Ali -- if you're serious about fighting Ronda Rousey ... CALL ME UP!!!!

White was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills -- when he made it very clear he's interested in setting up a fight between Muhammad Ali's daughter and the reigning UFC women's champ.

But whether they step into the ring to box ... or climb into the octagon for an MMA match ... White says one thing's for sure -- Rousey will beat the living crap out of Ali.

"[Ronda's] actually the best fighter in the world ... Laila Ali would be in big trouble against Ronda Rousey."

Bottom line, White says he wants to make the fight happen -- "I'm serious if [Laila's] serious. Call me Laila."

Ronda Rousey I'll Beat Laila Ali In Boxing ... Just Lemme Train

Published | Updated

Ronda Rousey says she's VERY CONFIDENT she could beat Laila Ali in a boxing match -- telling TMZ Sports she just needs some time to learn the ropes.

It's no joke ... Ronda was out in NYC Monday when we asked how she felt about the undefeated former boxing champ's recent call-out ... when Laila told us no woman alive could take her in the ring.

But Ronda begs to differ ... saying she'd wreck Muhammad Ali's daughter -- even if the fight didn't go to the mat, where Ronda would clearly have the advantage (arm bar anyone?!).

Ronda also had some tough talk for Houston Texans cheerleader Antonieta Osuna -- a former boxer who recently told us she wants a piece of the UFC champ too.

Check out the clip -- Rousey says it's not just her insane athletic skills that would propel her to victory, it's her championship mentality.

But enough with the talk ... SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Randy Couture I'll Train Laila Ali If She Wants to Fight Ronda

Published | Updated

Laila Ali has ANOTHER big weapon in her corner if she REALLY wants to fight Ronda Rousey -- UFC legend Randy Couture ... who tells TMZ Sports she needs to focus on ground and pound to beat RR.

The UFC Hall of Famer -- who got some MMA coaching experience under his belt on "The Ultimate Fighter" -- says Laila already knows how to box (she's undefeated) but would need a crash course in wrestling ... and he's the perfect guy to help.

As we previously reported, Laila and Ronda exchanged some smack talk about a possible bout -- but so far, they have yet to schedule a real fight.

Clearly, Couture thinks Ali could hang with Ronda -- but does she have what it takes to beat the 14-second destroyer in a real MMA fight? Check out the clip ...

Boxer Antonio Tarver Offers to Train Laila Ali ... For Rousey Fight

Published | Updated

Rocky had Mickey. Daniel had Mr. Miyagi. And now Laila Ali has a wise mentor to guide her if she squares off with Ronda Rousey ... with ex-champ Antonio Tarver formally offering to train Muhammad's baby girl.

Tarver -- a former 5-time boxing champ -- tells TMZ Sports he's been friends with Laila for years and strongly believes he could train her up to beat the UFC star in a boxing match.

"She knows I got her back and front," Tarver says.

In fact, he's even got a game plan for Ali, who hasn't stepped in the ring in 8 years -- "[Laila] needs a serious training camp and a tune up fight."

"I think it's time to dust off [the gloves] and you got my services."

Tarver says Rousey is an "amazing athlete" -- but he's 100% confident he could train the 37-year-old back into face-bashing shape and get the biggest victory in female fight history.

C'mon ladies ... let's make this happen.

Manny Pacquiao Ronda Rousey Could Beat Mayweather ... I'm Serious

Manny made the comments on "His & Hers" on ESPN -- saying, "She's strong. She's strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather in MMA."

And Pacman's not the only one who believes it -- Ronda does too!

In fact, she went on Power 106 last year and said she already has a battle plan if they ever get in the octagon together.

Ronda Rousey Calls Out Laila Ali ... I'll Destroy You

Published | Updated

Ronda Rousey has a message for Laila Ali -- BRING IT ON!!!!

The undefeated UFC champ has just responded to Muhammad Ali's daughter (an undefeated ex-pro boxer) who told TMZ Sports no woman alive could beat her in a fight ... including Rousey.

In fact, when we shot Ali earlier this week ... she took a shot at Ronda's size -- saying, "She’s like the size of my daughter, my 3-year-old."

So, how does Rousey feel about that?

"If she wants to take me up on that, I’m around," Rousey told the Daily Beast.

"She’s retired and has several kids. I understand why she’d think that because she has a size advantage, but if you saw my last fight it had nothing to do with size or strength at all. That’s not how I beat people."

"So you can’t count having a size and strength advantage as having a real advantage against me."

Ali hasn't fought since 2007 ... but c'mon, who wouldn't pay to see this?!

Laila Ali I Can Beat Ronda Rousey 'She's Too Small'

Published | Updated

Laila Ali tells TMZ Sports ... there's NO WOMAN ALIVE who could beat her in a fight ... and that includes UFC superstar Ronda Rousey.

Muhammad Ali's daughter -- who was 24-0 in her boxing career -- was at LAX this weekend when we asked if she thought she could hang with the MMA superstar if the two ever decided to fight.

At first, the 37-year-old champ was shy ... saying it's hard to compare a boxer to an MMA fighter ... but ultimately declared, "No woman can beat me, period."

The 5'10" Ali also pointed out her size advantage over the 5'7" Rousey -- "She's like the size of my daughter ... my 3-year-old."

Sounds like fightin' words!!!!

SI just released the video ... in which Rousey says she was WAY more comfortable doing martial arts poses during the shoot than the traditional kissy-face looks.

Rousey says she was super excited about modeling for SI -- because "there shouldn't just be one cookie-cutter body type that everyone is aspiring to be."

Anderson Silva I'm Not a Cheater [Video]

Published | Updated

Anderson Silva tells TMZ Sports ... he did NOT use performance enhancing drugs to give him an edge in the octagon ... saying he's genuinely SHOCKED he failed his drug tests.

The UFC legend was out in L.A. when we asked straight up -- how do you explain the failed drug tests surrounding the January 31st fight at UFC 183 with Nick Diaz???

His answer -- "I don't know what happened."

Silva says he was completely blindsided by the results -- but does NOT believe anything in his system affected his performance in the fight.

Anderson sorta acknowledges taking something to help his body heal after badly breaking his leg -- but says he's convinced he didn't violate any rules.

Still, Silva understands how bad the failed tests make him look -- "I think this is bad for [the] sport. This is so bad for me and my life."

Anderson says he wants a REMATCH with Nick Diaz to prove his victory is legit -- and even has a message for 50 Cent -- save that $1.6 MILLION he was planning to bet on Mayweather ... and put it on him!

Ronda Rousey Could Beat Male Fighters ... Says UFC Announcer

Published | Updated

Ronda Rousey couldn't just BEAT male fighters ... but she'd easily be ranked in the Top 20 in her division if she was able to fight dudes ... so says UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer.

To be fair, Buffer says he doesn't ever see the UFC signing off on a Ronda vs. Man fight ... but says, "Quite frankly I'm sure she would do very well against at least half the division she's in which is the bantamweight."

For the record, the men's bantamweight division (135) is comprised of guys like T.J. Dillashaw, Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.

Still, Buffer says Rousey is a friggin' beast ... and "the most dominant fighting athlete in the world."

Fun Fact -- it took Bruce more time to announce Ronda on her way into the fight at UFC 184 ... that it did for Rousey to actually beat Cat Zingano.
