Jaden Piner, one of the kid stars from "Moonlight," might've walked the Oscar red carpet, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have to take out the trash at home.

We got 13-year-old Jaden at LAX where he told us he got a real taste for how the stars live by attending the awards show, but according to his mom, Natalie, it's not his day-to-day.

Roman Polanski will come back to a California courtroom to face the judge over his fugitive status in his child rape case, but only if the judge says in advance that the director served his full time behind bars.

Polanski's lawyer, Harland Braun, has filed legal docs trying to cut through what has become a decades long legal mess. Braun says it's boiled down to a simple fact ... the sentencing judge required Polanski to serve less than 50 days, and between jail in the U.S. and house arrest in Switzerland, he's served nearly 400 days.

The sentencing judge, Braun says, reneged on a deal that was struck and threatened up to 50 years in prison, and that's why Polanski bailed in the case involving a 13-year-old.

Polanski, who was married to Manson Family murder victim Sharon Tate, has been on the run since 1978.

King Kong's too hot to handle in Vietnam -- his new movie premiere literally went up in flames.

The incident went down Thursday at the premiere of "Kong: Skull Island" in Ho Chi Minh City when a huge model of the beast, and the stage around it, caught fire.

The blaze was reportedly caused by either a stray tiki torch or a prop volcano. At first, spectators thought it was all part of the show, and lingered a little too long taking photos.

Famed Michael Jackson impersonator Navi did what he does best Thursday, transforming into the King of Pop for an upcoming flick.

Navi was out and about in L.A., shooting several scenes for Lifetime's 'Searching for Neverland.'

The scene below mimics a famous real-life encounter MJ had as he breezed through a Vegas mall.

Robert James Waller, best known for penning the romantic novel "The Bridges of Madison County," has died.

Waller passed away in Texas either Thursday or Friday, according to his literary agency after battling some sort of illness.

Waller wrote several books but "Bridges of Madison County" was his most popular, spending over 3 years on the New York Times bestseller list. Rumor has it he wrote the book -- about a National Geographic photographer who falls in love with a married Italian woman while on assignment in Iowa -- in only 11 days.

The novel was later turned into a Clint Eastwood-directed film starring Meryl Streep that grossed millions and earned Meryl her 10th Oscar nom.

Some of other Waller's notable works include "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze", 'A Thousand Country Roads' and "Slow Waltz in Cedar Bend."

The Alabama theater that banned the new "Beauty and the Beast" for having a gay character damn near projected a drag queen documentary due to a pretty funny mix-up.

Carol Laney owns the Henagar, AL drive-in and tells us she approved "Fierce" as an upcoming feature thinking it was a Game of Thrones-ish kinda flick. She says the poster was misleading -- a woman surrounded by 3 dragons.

Sure, there's plenty of slaying in the docu-film about drag queens, just not the kind Laney had in mind for moviegoers. She says people started calling her out for banning "Beauty and the Beast" ... but leaving the doc on her schedule of upcoming films.

No shocker -- she's now pulled "Fierce" too, saying it's not in "her comfort zone."

Kind of a drag.

Jim Tavaré -- best known for playing Tom the Innkeeper in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" -- is in ICU after suffering a broken neck and punctured lung in a nasty car accident.

The 54-year-old actor and comedian also broke 15 ribs and has fractures in his right leg and breastbone ... according to his wife, Laura ... who posted hospital pics. It's unclear where the head-on crash took place.

Laura wrote on Tuesday ... "Jim has asked me to let you all know that he was involved in a serious car accident yesterday, a head-on collision ... He’s had two blood transfusions so far and is about to go in for his first surgery.”

Jim was able to give a thumbs up. Laura hasn't posted an update on his condition.

The guy who voiced the teacup in the OG "Beauty and the Beast" says a gay character in the new live-action flick is no big deal ... dude was always gay.

We got Bradley Pierce -- who played Chip in Disney's 1991 animated feature -- out at Craig's Tuesday night, and he told us anyone who thought Gaston's sidekick, LeFou, wasn't gay from the get-go is kidding themselves.

He also thinks it's hilarious that the people who are upset about LeFou have no problem with a woman falling in love with a buffalo.

Hulk Hogan was such a violent beast as Thunderlips on the set of "Rocky III" ... he accidentally put 3 GUYS in the hospital during the filming of his famous boxing ring brawl with the Italian Stallion.

Stallone has finally revealed the crazy story 35 YEARS after the movie hit theaters ... describing how a young actor named Terry Bollea (6'7", 295 pounds with 24" biceps) didn't know his own strength!

"I remember a violent move where he threw me into the corner , charged across the ring like an ENRAGED bull and leaped so amazingly high Above me,that his shinbone actually came down giant tree on my collarbone , and I tumbled to the floor," Stallone said in an Instagram post.

"I was afraid to look at my shoulder for about 10 minutes ... I said "don't roll me over , don't move me, " because I was sure there was bone protruding through my upper chest!"

That's when Stallone brought up the poor guys who really did suffer injuries ...

"Believe it or not when he jumped into the audience to fight with the stuntmen , three of them had to be treated at the hospital."

Stallone concluded with a message to his old co-star:

"HULK , if you're reading this, it was a privilege to be mangled by such a gentleman."

Even though Samuel L. Jackson destroyed Ben Carson for his controversial comment about slaves and immigrants ... he's not interested in an apology from the new HUD Secretary.

You can tell in this video, Sam was still angry when he landed Tuesday at LAX. He did offer one piece of advice to Carson -- and also took a parting jab at his storied career as a neurosurgeon.

Scarlett Johansson filed to divorce Romain Dauriac ... her husband of just over 2 years.

Scarlett filed divorce docs in NYC on Tuesday, and she's asking for primary custody of their daughter, Rose ... according to the NY Post.

Romain reportedly plans to fight for custody of Rose ... which could set up an ugly court battle. He's French and his attorney told the Post he plans to move back there.

There's been speculation for months about their marital status. Scarlett announced early this year they had actually separated last summer -- but then they were photographed together in January, and seemed ... congenial.

We've reached out to Scarlett's reps ... but no word back.
