Trevor Ariza's grandfather says if Matt Barnes tried to talk smack to him during a game like he did to James Harden's mother ... "We'd have to kick the s**t out of him!"

Osvaldo Ariza was on his way in to Staples Center last night when we he made it clear ... the Ariza family doesn't mess around.

As far as the situation between Barnes and Harden's mom ... Ariza says he's not worried about Monja Willis because she's a tough chick who can definitely take care of herself.

Mark Wahlberg was blown away at the Clippers game last night, but it had nothing to do with the Clippers rout over the Rockets ... he was mesmerized by Floyd Mayweather's bling.

Mark and Floyd were sitting courtside, not beside each other, when Mark walked over to Floyd to admire his ridiculously expensive bracelet.

Meanwhile, Khloe and Kendall had laser focus on the game ... at least for a second or two.

So, get this ... NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON is getting fired for that whole Cleveland Cavs domestic violence arena video debacle. Not a one.

Our super solid Cavs sources tell us ... despite the public outcry for someone to get the axe, the organization wants to use the situation as a teachable moment ... instead of a public execution.

We're told team execs spoke with EVERYONE that had a hand in making and airing the video -- in which a male Cavs fan SLAMS his GF for being a Bulls fan -- and explained why it was a bad idea.

Seems the Cavs feel everyone got the message ... but as you can imagine, the ice over there has gotta be super duper thin.

The NBA was definitely NOT amused with the Matt Barnes vs. James Harden's mother smack talk session earlier this week ... fining Barnes $50k for running his mouth during the game.

Both Barnes and Harden's mother admitted getting into it during the Clippers vs. Rockets playoff game on Wednesday ... though neither side has revealed what specific insults were hurled.

Now, the NBA says Barnes committed the cardinal sin of "directing inappropriate language at a fan" -- and dinged him $50,000.

The NBA tells TMZ Sports ... league officials have contacted the Cleveland Cavaliers about their "inappropriate and offensive" arena video and told the team it was completely UNACCEPTABLE.

The team has been under fire over the video -- which shows a male Cavs fan slamming his GF to the ground when he finds out she's a Bulls fan. It's about as domestic violencey as it gets.

Now, an NBA spokesperson tells TMZ Sports ... "We agree with the Cavaliers that the video shown last night was inappropriate and offensive."

"We spoke to the team earlier today to convey our disappointment. Anything that makes light of violence of any sort has no place in our league or society."

The team has since pulled the video off its website -- and called the thing a big mistake.

The woman whose butt was on the receiving end of an Instagram "Like" from LeBron James this week says the NBA star has changed her life forever ... calling the whole thing "a sign from God."

Josett Latrice became an overnight sensation when LeBron broke his self-imposed social media ban (implemented so he can focus on the NBA playoffs) to "like" one of her pics on the @perfectbooties Instagram account.

"It makes me feel awesome," Latrice told "TMZ Hollywood Sports" ... "I LOVE the fact he liked my picture."

Josett has been studying to be a veterinarian -- but says now that she's got Bron's stamp of approval, she's considering taking serious steps to focus on modeling instead.

"It's definitely a sign from God."

Shaq might be on the 15-day DL after taking a (hilarious) spill on the set of "Inside the NBA" last night ... that's according to co-host Kenny Smith who says the big man's big fall has left him a little gimpy.

Kenny was at LAX this morning when we HAD to ask him about everything regarding the tumble heard 'round the galaxy ... most notably how the Diesel is moving following the gravitational smackdown.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are apologizing for running a terrible domestic violence video inside of their arena Wednesday night ... saying it was intended to be hilarious ... and backfired.

The Cavs issued a statement saying, "During a timeout at last night’s Cavaliers vs. Bulls playoff game at The Q in Cleveland, we ran a 1-minute in-arena video that was intended to be a humorous spoof on a popular commercial centered on a song and dance from the classic movie ‘Dirty Dancing.’ While the video was not intended to be offensive, it was a mistake to include content that made light of domestic violence."

"Domestic violence is a very serious matter and has no place in a parody video that plays in an entertainment venue. We sincerely apologize to those who have been affected by domestic violence for the obvious negative feelings caused by being exposed to this insensitive video."

James Harden's mother tells TMZ Sports ... Matt Barnes PERSONALLY APOLOGIZED Wednesday night ... after the L.A. Clippers star hurled an extremely rude comment to her during last night's NBA playoff game.

Monja Willis wouldn't tell us exactly what Barnes said to her at the Toyota Center in Houston during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals ... saying, "We'll leave that on the court."

What we do know ... Matt's comment really pissed off one of Monja's other sons -- who was sitting next to her during the game and heard it ... and confronted Barnes after the final buzzer.

Willis tells us ... "My older son walked over to him and told him to apologize ... and he did."

Monja says, "What he told me was that he would never want to disrespect anyone's mother because his mother passed from cancer ... and that he was sorry."

In one of the dumbest marketing moves of ALL TIME, the Cleveland Cavaliers ran an in-arena video during Wednesday night's game ... showing a male Cavs fan SLAMMING his GF because she's a Bulls fan.

Seriously.

It gets worse ... the man justifies the beating by saying, "Bulls fan? I didn't know you were a Bulls fan!"

At the end of the video, the woman resurfaces with an ice pack on her head ... and wearing a Cleveland shirt.

No word why anyone in the organization would green light this ... but you can only assume someone's gonna get fired.

Former NBA star Larry Johnson isn't broke at all, and actually stashed $26 million in a private account years ago ... according to one of his FOUR baby mamas.

TMZ Sports broke the story... Johnson filed for bankruptcy in March. According to court docs, some of the debt is owed to his myriad maternal units.

Now, Laura Tate -- one of those mothers -- has filed docs saying Johnson has only been paying her $1,000 per month for child support ... when he's supposed to be forking over $11k. She also says he set up a trust in 2006, and filled it with the $26 mil.

Tate wants the judge to liquidate LJ's assets so she can collect $870k. She's also got beef because she says some of the other baby mamas are getting more than her.

Carmelo Anthony's wife La La just totally one-upped the basketball star's promise of a Knicks championship ... by promising the whole world a look at two even more coveted trophies ... her boobs.

La La sat down for an interview with "The Breakfast Club" where she talked about a milestone in her exploding acting career -- an upcoming episode of the Starz show "Power" where she has her first sex scene.

That's when Charlamagne Tha God jumped in ... asking La La if the love scene would feature any 'freeing of the nipple' on her part ... to which she very gleefully answered, "Yes."

The Knicks will NOT SUCK next year ... well, at least they won't be as terrible ... so says Carmelo Anthony's wife.

We spoke with La La Anthony on the way out of FOX Studios in NYC Monday -- who told us Melo is still "100% dedicated to the team" ... and predicted a serious turnaround when they get back on the court.

Of course, it's hard to get any worse ... the Knicks finished the season this year with the 2nd worst record in the NBA -- only winning 17 games.

Before his teammates, before his coach, there's ONE MAN Steph Curry should take to a celebratory dinner to thank for winning the NBA MVP ... his famous father ... so says NBA Commish Adam Silver.

Silver was out in Washington D.C. yesterday, hours after the league announced Curry had won the award -- and explained why when it comes to "thank you" dinners ... it should always be family first.

Plus, Steph's father is ex-NBA star Dell Curry -- who Silver says is part of "NBA royalty" -- and credits him for helping Steph develop into a superstar.
