Rob Lowe's ringin' in a new decade right ... partying hard at a rager in Los Angeles -- with as much star power as the Oscars red carpet.

The film and television star turned 60 last week, but celebrated big by the beach in beautiful Santa Monica this weekend ... and, the guy's got a ton of celebs from his more than 40 years in Hollywood who showed up to get down.

Cameron Diaz and her man Benji Madden -- who just welcomed another kid into the world, BTW -- pulled up to support RL on his big day ... enjoying a nice couple's night out while leaving the kiddos at home.

Tom Sandoval's celebrating a milestone in a loud way ... blasting "Happy Birthday" on a trumpet -- and, we're told not everyone was diggin' it.

Check out the video, obtained by TMZ ... there's Tom, right behind the bar at Fox Fire -- a local Los Angeles hot spot -- gettin' the place to quiet down before lifting up the brass and playing the first few notes.

Some of the crowd gets into it, singing along to the beginnings of the tune ... but, our sources say some of the people closer to the back weren't loving the serenade -- seemingly annoyed with TS.

BTW ... we're told Tom was with a lovely lady at the bar -- unclear what their relationship might be, but Sandoval is one of the most eligible bachelors around.

Also ... unclear where Tom got the trumpet from -- but, we don't imagine he's lugging it around on a bar crawl. So, it's possible the bar had one, and it was just calling his name.

Obviously, Tom's super talented ... he's the frontman of a pretty popular cover band "Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras" -- so, he's just proving once again he's got that talent for music.

FWIW ... Tom's talked about playing his trumpet before -- saying playing it's always a deep, meaningful expression of himself. Some of his costars were less enthusiastic.

A controversial royal family biographer is in some hot water for a tweet he posted minutes before Kate Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis.

Omid Scobie -- who wrote a controversial book on the royal family last year -- shared a tweet of him setting an alarm for 6 PM on Friday ... the time in England when Kate Middleton shocked the world by revealing she has cancer.

And, right after the Princess of Wales revealed the info, two things happened -- Scobie took the tweet down, and social media raked him over the coals.

Comments calling the tweet tasteless and attacking Omid's character ran rampant across X ... and the journalist ultimately had to address the online controversy after several media outlets picked up the news.

In another tweet posted Friday, Scobie explains he didn't know what the announcement was about, and only wanted to alert his followers to the news -- deleting his post shortly after watching Middleton's video.

Scobie expresses his frustration with the outlets who reported the story, saying they ran with the post as if it were a sick "countdown" to the news ... which he says was never his intention.

It's not totally shocking some people may think Omid was making light of the news ... 'cause he's quite the controversial figure in the royal realm. Remember, Scobie wrote the book "Endgame" which made some serious claims about the royal family.

Among them, two senior royals were alleged to have made racist comments about Meghan and Harry's children. Though they were supposed to go unnamed, a Dutch translation of the book listed them ... as King Charles and Princess Kate.

Scobie's said the two were erroneously identified ... but, the book left a sour taste in many people's mouths -- and it appears Scobie's no longer getting the benefit of the doubt, especially when it comes to the Princess of Wales.

In the statement, shared to her Instagram story, LM says Cohen enjoys being "cruel" to women, and adds Kate was no exception to the rule. She continues by saying Cohen needs to apologize to Catherine ... and finishes by calling on people in power to practice better leadership.

ICYMI ... Andy shared a tweet after TMZ obtained video of Prince William and Princess Catherine walking at a farm stand in Windsor, writing, "That ain't Kate..."

He also reportedly spoke about rumors of infidelity between William and on his podcast earlier this week ... all before Kate announced she's dealing with cancer.

All in all ... not a great look for Cohen -- who's just one of many celebs who have caught some flak for jokes and comments they made about KM before her video Friday.

The stars of "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide" are admitting they messed up by making some jokes about 'Quiet On Set' ... claiming they didn't understand the magnitude of the docuseries until now.

Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee -- who starred in the hit Nickelodeon show during its three-season run -- took some time on a podcast episode released Thursday to address controversial jokes they made about the shocking documentary.

In their new episode, Werkheiser and Lee try to explain their comments to fans ... saying they weren't talking specifically about Drake Bell ... but in the confusion of the moment, it came out that way.

ICYMI ... the trio was on TikTok Live when they were asked to comment on the new television project full of claims of child sexual abuse at the network.

They say a lot -- and acknowledge they probably shouldn't joke about the series -- but Devon also uses the phrase "give me your holes" during the clip ... and Drake Bell responded on social media, blasting the three.

The stars say they were multitasking, and the whole moment was simply chaotic ... but they know they shouldn't have made any jokes -- especially now that they've seen the doc.

Bill Maher makes a super compelling case that pandering to racial groups is a sure way to lose elections ... because all these identities in America are now blurred beyond recognition.

The 'Real Time' host lasered in on Democrats who try to sell voters on what makes us different, and he says they're barking up the wrong tree because our country has blended.

As BM says, 1 out of 5 newlyweds are now in interracial marriages, which produce multiracial children, and that's just one of many examples he offers.

Let's start with "TMZ Live," where the biggest news of the day dominated our entire show -- namely, the fact Kate Middleton publicly announced she'd been diagnosed with cancer ... and was now undergoing preventative chemotherapy ... this after weeks of speculation.

Next up, we have "TMZ on TV," where the gang talked about conservative firebrand Candace Owens getting fired from the Daily Wire -- this amid claims she'd embraced antisemitism.

Finally, we land on "TMZ Sports," where Babcock and Mojo talked about Shohei Ohtani.

Nicole Eggert -- who's battling cancer herself -- says she can sympathize with what Kate Middleton is now going through herself ... telling us there's a lot to juggle on this journey.

We talked to the actress Friday and she weighed in on Kate's announcement -- where she revealed she'd been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving preventative chemotherapy. Nicole, who has breast cancer, tells us there's a lot she can relate to with her own diagnosis.

For starters, NE says there's a lot of pressure having to weather this storm for public figures -- and perhaps even doubly so for someone like Kate ... who's a senior Royal.

Nicole says the public should lend her some grace during this time and not scrutinize as much as they have been ... because Kate will undoubtedly go through some changes in the near future, some of which she might not want to share with everyone despite the curiosity.

There's another element to this as well, and that includes how to deal with parenting her three young children as she and William navigate these choppy waters ... something Nicole tells us will be no easy task.

Take a listen to how she describes this -- NE says Kate not only has to process her diagnosis and manage how her body feels throughout this ... but she'll have her children to worry about as well, which is why a solid foundation at home and help will go a long way.

Karen Huger was swaying and had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath following her frightening crash Tuesday night in Potomac, MD ... this according to the police report.

According to the report, obtained by TMZ, officers noted the 'Real Housewives of Potomac' cast member also had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes when they arrived on scene -- and they say she didn't answer when cops asked her twice how much she had to drink.

Officers also noted she had 2 closed bottles of the alcoholic beverage Stella inside her vehicle.

The report adds that while cops thought Karen appeared to be intoxicated ... she declined to undergo a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer.

Fire rescue, which also responded to the scene, tried to get her to sit on a stretcher -- but the report says she refused both the stretcher and any medical care.

According to officers, Karen also made it clear she did not wish to be recorded when officers told her she was on their bodycam footage.

She was ultimately arrested for DUI, and driven to the police station where she was issued citations ... and later released to her husband, Raymond.

As we reported ... cops told us Karen hit the median and a street sign late Tuesday night while driving her 2017 Maserati -- and a security guard in the neighborhood called the police after witnessing the whole thing.

Huger hasn't addressed the charges yet.

BTW, we spoke with Karen's 'RHOP' costar Candiace Dillard Bassett ... who filled us in on the folks showing her tons of support following her crash -- as well as what it might mean for Karen's future on the series.

Amanda Bynes isn't interested in talking about her child star past -- especially for the doc about Nickelodeon -- because she simply didn't have a bad experience ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … both Amanda and her parents -- Rick and Lynn -- were approached about telling their stories on "Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV," but we're told they all opted not to participate.

Our sources say Amanda -- whom we're told did not watch the documentary -- declined to sit for an interview on account that she felt she just didn't have anything to share that would further their cause. In other words, she didn't go through what the 'QOS' subjects did.

On the contrary, our sources tell us Amanda is grateful for what she was able to do with her Nickelodeon start -- as we're told she acknowledges that it launched her career back then.

As for her parents ... our sources say they're private people and wanted to stay out of the spotlight for this. Unlike Amanda, we're told they actually watched the documentary and were both saddened and disgusted by the allegations.

But again, we're told the family unit as a whole hadn't experienced what these other child actors did while at the network ... which is why it didn't make sense for them to sit for it.

As we all know, Amanda starred on "The Amanda Show" from 1999 to 2002 alongside Drake Bell -- who revealed he was abused by dialogue coach Brian Peck. Peck was credited on some episodes of 'TAS' as well.

Some of Drake's former costars -- like Josh Peck who also appeared on "The Amanda Show" -- have come out in recent days ... saying they watched the documentary and are lamenting the horrors their costars claim they dealt with.

BTW ... one of the 'Quiet On Set' episodes focuses heavily on Bynes, including how she was discovered at the Laugh Factory in the mid-90s -- so, it does seem a little odd that Amanda isn't interested in peeping the series at all ... especially since she's a focal point in it.

Of course, it goes without saying ... Amanda's been through her own personal saga -- conservatorship, etc. -- and in the aftermath of that, it's clear she wants to leave the past in the past and focus on other ventures ... including her burgeoning cosmetology career.

First, we got "TMZ Live" ... where Charles and Harvey talked about the brewing drama among Michael Jackson's surviving family members -- particularly, between his son Blanket and his mother Katherine ... who are at odds in court over attorney's fees and who should pay.

Next up, we got "TMZ on TV" ... where the gang discussed a miraculous breakthrough from Neuralink -- namely, its first human subject ... and they have video proving the tech works!

Finally, on "TMZ Sports" ... Babcock and Mojo talked about the Shohei Ohtani scandal.

A Candace tampoco se le ocurrió el nombre del juez del Tribunal Supremo Ketanji Brown Jackson... pero sabía lo qué NO hay que llevar a una comida al aire libre.

A lo largo de la aparición, Candace mantuvo que no estaba en contra de la "cultura negra", sino más bien contra la ignorancia, y culpó a las escuelas públicas y a la adoración de celebridades en la comunidad por mantener a la gente ignorante.

Su postura sobre la educación explica su reciente reacción al éxito de Ice Spice "Fart", donde declaró que la canción por sí sola hizo retroceder a la sociedad estadounidense unos cuantos niveles.

Hablando de canciones de fuego, el cuestionario también reveló que Candace necesita un repaso del tema "Good Times".

Candace Owens' "Black Card" will not be revoked -- not today, at least -- as the political pundit went on "The Breakfast Club" and passed a culture quiz with flying colors ... red, black and green!!!

On Thursday, Charlamagne, Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy all surprised Candace with a pop "Black quiz" they'd compiled, and the proud, yet polarizing, Republican impressed the gang right off the bat by rapping much of the opening theme to Will Smith's "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air."

Candace also couldn't come up with Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's name ... but she did know what NOT to bring to the cookout, in terms of food.

Throughout the appearance, Candace maintained she wasn't against Blackness, but more so Black illiteracy and blamed public schools and celebrity worship in the community for holding folks back.

Her stance on education explains her recent reaction to Ice Spice's "Fart" hit ... where she declared the track single-handedly set American society back a few notches!

Speaking of fire songs, the quiz also revealed Candace needs a refresher on the "Good Times" theme.

Pete Davidson se está despidiendo de "Bupkis" y su esperada 2ª temporada, pues el actor y comediante ha decidido dirigir su atención hacia la gran pantalla.

El ex alumno de "SNL" le dijo a THR el jueves que estaba feliz de haber tenido la oportunidad de contar su propia historia a través de "Bupkis", teniendo en cuenta lo documentados que están sus movimientos y su vida privada en los medios.

Y añadió: "También siento que esta parte de mi vida ha terminado. Estoy muy emocionado por este próximo capítulo y porque ustedes vean el trabajo. Gracias a todos los que me apoyan porque estoy eternamente agradecido".

La publicación informó que el agente de Pete le mandó un correo a Peacock a principios de esta semana para avisarles que se alejaba de la serie, pero al parecer no se lo dijo a la productora de la serie de Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video, hasta más tarde. Una vez que se enteraron de la situación, siguieron adelante con la cancelación.

THR también informa que el final de la serie no tiene nada que ver con los grandes recortes presupuestarios que está viviendo la industria de Hollywood en este momento. La única razón es que Pete quería avanzar hacia otras cosas.

Por supuesto, echaremos de menos "Bupkis", que hizo vibrar a todo el mundo el año pasado con sus 8 episodios de media hora protagonizados por Edie Falco y Joe Pesci como la madre y el abuelo de Pete. Era muy al estilo de Dave.

Peacock la renovó para una segunda temporada en junio, solo dos meses después de su estreno, ya que tuvo una gran acogida por parte de los espectadores y la crítica. Con todo ese impulso, parecía que el cielo era el límite para la serie. Pero ahora, Pete está despidiéndose de ella y dando vuelta la página.

El mensaje de Josh llega en el momento justo. Su nombre ha sido tendencia toda la semana tras la emisión del documental y mucha gente quería saber si iba a decir algo o cuándo iba a hacerlo. Josh, obviamente, no apareció en el documental, pero era una de las mayores estrellas de Nick en ese entonces.

Por supuesto, su conexión con Drake Bell, con quien protagonizó un enorme programa "Drake & Josh" no pasó desapercibida para nadie, especialmente después de que Drake revelara que fue abusado cuando era adolescente.

La única cosa que Josh no precisa en su declaración es si alguna vez experimentó algo indecoroso él mismo, o si estaba al tanto de lo que estaba pasando con Drake en el momento, pero de acuerdo a sus palabras, parece seguro suponer que probablemente no sabía nada al respecto.

Como informamos, Drake salió a defender a Josh el miércoles en medio de la reacción violenta de los fans, diciéndole al público que su co-estrella ya se había acercado a él y le pidió a la gente que dejara de echar humo.
