Anthony Walker Jr. promised his pops a new ride with his first NFL paycheck -- at AGE 10.

Walker Jr. inked a rookie deal with the Indianapolis Colts 11 years later ... and boy did he come through -- hooking Walker Sr. up with a brand spankin' Lexus ES 350.

The 5th-rounder told TMZ Sports he owed it to his dad for introducing him to football ... and hearing Jr. talk about the whole thing -- including Sr.'s reaction to the car -- is pretty surreal.

FYI, the ES 350 starts around $40K -- a nice chunk of Walker's half-a-mil starting salary.

But don't worry ... the rook told us he's only making it rain this one time.

Taj Gibson was arrested in NYC early Thursday morning after cops say the NBA star was driving a Mercedes-Benz with a suspended license ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Gibson -- who signed a 2yr., $28 million deal with the Timberwolves earlier this week -- allegedly made an illegal u-turn in front of cops around 2:45AM Thursday morning. NYPD says they pulled T.G. over, and discovered his license was suspended.

NYPD tell us Gibson was charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was taken into custody, and released around 4:30AM.

Gibson is due in court in NYC on September 1st.

We reached out to T.G. ... so far, no word back.

UFC lightweight Michael Johnson has a message for the UFC -- vacate Conor McGregor's belt already!!

"Who knows when he's gonna come back?" Johnson told TMZ Sports. "As I look at the division, I don't see a champion right now."

FYI -- McGregor hasn't defended his 155-pound title since winning it way back in November. Clearly, Johnson's not convinced Conor will return to the octagon after making BANK boxing Mayweather.

As for Johnson ... he's fighting an undefeated Justin Gaethje in the main event of Friday night's "The Ultimate Fighter" finale -- looking to move one step closer to Conor's gold with a W.

Turns out Andre Roberson might not be such a bad tipper after all ... 'cause the OKC Thunder star took his family out to dinner Thursday night and showed some love with a 30% tip this time!!

Roberson took heat for leaving a $14 tip on a nearly $500 bar tab after signing a huge $30 million deal with OKC this week ... which he defended by claiming "there was no service."

2:40 PM PT -- The Barson's attorney tells us, “The video released by the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department continues to support the fact that Ms. Williams remained in the intersection at a red light, violating the Barson’s right of way. There is nothing that disputes Ms. Williams' was in the intersection on a red light, and the witnesses clearly confirm the Barsons' had a green light and lawfully entered the intersection.”

Venus Williams lawfully entered the intersection where her SUV was T-boned by a Hyundai in which the passenger was killed ... this according to just-released surveillance video and new police information.

The video shows Venus' black SUV entering the intersection but slows down for a car that turned in front of her. Once the coast is clear, Venus appears to punch it to clear the intersection.

It appears Venus' light had turned red while she was waiting for the car to pass. The Hyundai then had a green light and was traveling at around 25 MPH in the intersection when it slammed into the SUV.

It's unclear, but it seems the driver of the Hyundai believed Venus would not attempt to cross since she appeared to be stopped, waiting for the other car to clear.

As we reported, the estate of the passenger who died, Jerome Barson, has sued Venus for wrongful death, claiming she was speeding and negligent.

Attorneys for Venus and the Barsons were in court Friday and agreed to share downloaded crash data from both vehicles. We're told police will gather information from Venus' SUV within the next 10 days -- police have already downloaded the Barson vehicle's data -- and both sides will share the info within 72 hours.

Both vehicles will remain in police custody until the process is complete.

Good news for Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson ... cops tell TMZ Sports the woman he allegedly hit with his truck during a July 4th parking dispute suffered no injuries in the alleged assault.

As we previously reported, Wilson has been charged with 2 counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon during a July 4th dispute in a parking lot in the Dallas area.

The 1st charge is for allegedly striking a woman with his truck. The 2nd charge is for allegedly busting out a rifle and pointing it at a guy during the dispute.

Wilson is a lucky man -- because an attack with a large truck can have deadly consequences. Just ask Suge Knight ... who's facing murder charges for running over a man with his truck in 2015.

Browne says he and Ronda took matters into their own hands at first -- with Travis personally locating the perps at a nearby skate park.

"I was staring at them like, 'You motherf**kers!' You're lucky that I have the [self-control] to not beat the dog sh*t out your ass!"

Browne says he smartly went to cops -- and one of the officers asked him what he'd like the punishment to be for the suspected ring leader.

"I was like, 'How about give me 5 minutes with him alone?'"

Obviously, that didn't happen -- but the good news for Browne, he can unleash the fury all over Alexey Oleynik at UFC 213 in Las Vegas this weekend.

The boxing superstar spent his Friday evening in the Philippines handing out stacks and stacks of cash -- but instead of going all Mayweather and dropping it on strippers, dude was giving it to local kids.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu star Gabi Garcia -- who's listed at 6'2'', 209 pounds -- just fought in her first ever Shoot boxing (Japanese kickboxing) match in Tokyo ... and landed two illegal kicks to the dome that left her MUCH smaller opponent seeing stars.

Gabi's first head-kick on 45-year-old Megumi Yabushita got flagged by the ref -- but his warning appeared to be lost in translation ... 'cause seconds later, Garcia uncorked another more devastating skull-shot.

That one put Megumi down for the count -- and possibly with a dislocated shoulder.

Gabi probably should've been DQ'd ... but the match was ruled a no-contest. Maybe cause of that whole "I don't speak Japanese" thing.
