The romance between Melissa Rivers and porn king Steve Hirsch has officially come to an end.

Sources close to the former couple tell us the two recently called things off ... because they each had too much stuff going on in their personal lives to focus on a relationship.

We're told the split was mutual ... very amicable ... and the two are still friends.

TMZ broke the story ... Hirsch -- president of Vivid Entertainment -- began dating Rivers back in December after meeting through mutual friends.

Hulk Hogan's ex-wife is back on the market ... 52-year-old Linda Hogan has officially called things off with her 23-year-old boy toy Charlie Hill ... after realizing marriage just isn't in the cards.

Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ ... Charlie recently moved out of Linda's Florida home after nearly 4 years of Cougar bliss.

We're told the two had a heart-to-heart about the future of their relationship this weekend -- and acknowledged they didn't see themselves ever getting married to each other.

Both Charlie and Linda decided it was best to break up ... so they could move on with their lives ... but we're told there's no anger involved and the split was as amicable as splits can be.

Thomas Beatie -- famously known as the Pregnant Man -- has separated from his wife of 9 years ... and according to Beatie, she still hasn't seen his new man parts yet.

38-year-old Beatie made the break-up announcement during a recent taping for the show "The Doctors" -- admitting he and his wife Nancy were going through a rough patch ... "At the moment, we're separated."

Beatie -- who's given birth to three children -- also said he recently underwent a final female-to-male gender reassignment surgery, but claims he hasn't had a chance to show Nancy his new equipment.

Simon Cowell is telling friends ... his engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy was a "big mistake" ... but she left the relationship with one fabulous parting gift ... an $8 MILLION MANSION.

The details surrounding the breakup are unclear ... but according to TheSun.com, Cowell has admitted, "I'm a hopeless boyfriend."

The two got engaged back in 2010 after meeting on the set of "American Idol."

Sources close to Cowell tell us he feels Mezhgan "deserves" the home for putting up with all of the publicity and scrutiny that comes with dating the "X Factor" honcho.

L.A. Kings goal scorer Dustin Penner's aspiring actress wife has filed for divorce ... and TMZ has learned it's her SECOND failed marriage to a pro hockey player.

Her name's Jessica Welch -- don't bother looking up her IMDb profile -- and she was married to former NHL star Richard Zednik from 2005-2009 ... the guy who accidentally got his throat slit with a skate in 2008. The couple had one daughter together.

Two years later in 2011, Jessica married Dustin -- who won the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007.

Now, Jessica has filed for divorce AGAIN in L.A. County Superior Court -- citing "irreconcilable differences." Dustin and Jessica have no children together.

A.J. Lamas -- a reality show staple and son of Lorenzo Lamas -- has been accused by his ex-girlfriend of breaking into her home and holding her at bay in the bathroom.

Jessie Schulman filed legal docs asking for a restraining order, claiming she broke up with A.J. and moved on to a new relationship.

Jessie says on January 11 at 2 AM, she was at home with her boyfriend when A.J. suddenly appeared outside her window. She says she yelled at him to leave, but instead he broke through the window screen and entered the house.

According to the legal docs, A.J. started yelling at Jessie and tried to lock the two of them in the bathroom so he could have a captive audience to speak his mind.

Jessie says she talked him into leaving the house, but before he made his exit he made a pit stop at the fridge and grabbed a bottle of liquor.

Melissa Etheridge reunited with her ex-GF Tammy Lynn Michaels for a mommy & mommy meal with their 5-year-old twins this week ... but afterward, Tammy let the world know they still DESPISE each other.

How did Ashton Kutcher handle Demi Moore's divorce announcement? By knocking out another episode of "Two and a Half Men."

Just a few hours after the news broke Demi wants out of their marriage ... Ashton was spotted on the Warner Bros. lot where the show is taped.

"16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis tells TMZ, she's had her fill of her baby daddy's slacker do-nothing lifestyle ...so she dumped the guy, and took the kid to her parents' house.

18-year-old Whitney -- who was featured on the MTV show in 2009 -- tells us, she was living with her boyfriend and their son in an apartment in Georgia up until a couple of weeks ago -- but she decided to call it quits.

According to Whitney, she ended things because her man -- Weston Gosa -- "was gone all the time. He wouldn’t come home until 3AM in the morning ... I was home with the baby and he was nowhere to be found.”

But Whitney doesn't believe Weston was cheating -- telling us, "You know when someone is cheating on you. He was just out with his friends all the time getting messed up ... I don’t want that around my kid.”

Whitney claims the couple was fighting constantly and she just couldn't take it anymore, so she moved back in with her parents -- and took their son with her.

The NBA offseason from hell just got worse for Los Angeles Lakers player Matt Barnes ... who just announced that he's officially broken up with his "Basketball Wives" baby mama Gloria Govan.

Barnes -- who has 2 children with Govan -- just released a statement saying, "We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time."

He adds, "We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best."

Deal of the century -- some mystery buyer just purchased the massive engagement ring Hugh Hefner gave to Crystal Harris ... for a fraction of the original $90,000 price tag.

Sources tell TMZ, the unidentified bidder won Crystal's auction this morning -- bidding $38,000 for the 3.39 carat circular-cut diamond. With taxes and fees, the final bill was $47,500.

Shockingly, the ring actually exceeded auctioneer expectations -- because it was only supposed to sell for $20 -$30k.

Hugh reportedly shelled out the full $90k for the ring when he proposed to Crystal less than a year ago -- but Crystal called the wedding off.

Michaele Salahi has suddenly become the most famous cheating spouse in the land -- which is why one website that specializes in extramarital affairs ... wants her to be their new spokeswoman.

A site called MarriedWivesClub.com has reached out to Salahi's management group in an effort to recruit her to work for them. The site -- which claims that 50% of women and 60% of men cheat -- feels that Michaele would be "the perfect cheating spouse to represent" them.
