Ashley Mattingly might wanna cut back on the weekend cruising ... she faces 4 charges for allegedly plowing her golf cart into 4 parked cars while she was hammered.

The Orange County D.A. hit the former Playmate with 3 counts of driving under the influence -- including 1 for drugs -- and 1 additional count of hit-and-run with property damage -- all misdemeanors. It's also alleged that her BAC was at least .20%.

TMZ broke the news of Ashley's arrest, but she has a different story of what went down ... including a strong drink defense of why she was wasted. She faces up to a year behind bars if convicted on all 4 counts.

This is the photo Taylor Swift felt was too hot for the public to handle ... the one she claimed would encourage "scandalous" and "prurient" behavior ... the one that's at the center of her sexual assault lawsuit against a former DJ.

Taylor has alleged in a deposition DJ David Mueller "reached up under my skirt and grabbed my ass right when I was having to pose for a photo." She says the picture is the smoking gun.

Swift asked a judge to keep the photo under wraps on grounds it would prejudice the potential jury. It's hard to see how this pic unduly prejudices anyone.

Dr. Seuss' stories should NOT be rehashed with Vulcans or Klingons in the mix -- at least not without permission ... according to a new lawsuit.

The Doc's camp just filed suit against ComicMix, which thought it'd be neat to make a 'Star Trek' version of "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the Seuss' co. says ComicMix fused elements of the classic book with their own story, and even jacked actual prose from the original ... all without asking.

They say ComicMix knew damn well it was doing the Doc dirty because its Kickstarter page for the project mentioned they might have to go to court to prove their work was parody and not a violation of copyright. They acknowledged, "we may even lose."

Team Seuss is suing for damages. A lawyer for ComicMix tells us they love Dr. Seuss and hope to resolve the suit amicably.

Patrick and Jill Dempsey are officially out of splitsville and chilling in backtogethertown.

Jill filed legal docs to have her divorce petition dismissed from court. A judge obliged and tossed it less than a week later ... according to docs obtained by TMZ.

The court's action just dots the I's and crosses the T's on what we knew was going to happen months ago. As we reported ... Patrick and Jill backed out of divorce talk after she had filed in 2015.

She wanted him to cut back on his racing. He did and the canoodling in St. Barts back in February proved they were back on track.

Taylor Swift left a recent concert in Austin with a 39-year-old man in hot pursuit ... according to police, who just busted the guy.

Frank Andrew Hoover was arrested Thursday by Austin PD, and police docs say he'd been hounding Taylor and her family for months leading up to her Oct. 22 concert at Formula 1 race. The night of the show, he allegedly followed her motorcade from the track to the airport where a private jet was waiting for Taylor and her parents.

Swift's bodyguards told police Hoover got within 25 to 50 feet of Taylor's car, and when they asked what he was doing there, he said he was there to get a pic and "possibly accompany Taylor wherever she goes."

Hoover also allegedly flooded Taylor's dad with emails from Aug. 28 until Oct. 27, and some included creepy messages like ... "Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she'll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart."

Swift already had a protective order in place against Hoover, which required him to stay 500 feet away from her.

The man who viciously murdered Bob Crane, the star of the iconic TV show "Hogan's Heroes," may be exposed on TV after a 38 year unsolved mystery.

Crane was bludgeoned to death with a camera tripod in his Scottsdale apartment back in 1978. He and his good friend, John Carpenter, were deep into kinky sex ... secretly filming various sexual configurations involving numerous women.

Carpenter's rent-a-car was seized by cops just days after Crane's murder, and they found blood inside. Carpenter was tried for murder, but there was a problem. DNA was not perfected then, and the jury found him not guilty because there wasn't conclusive proof it was Crane's blood.

Enter Phoenix Fox 10 anchor John Hook. More than a year ago, Hook started working with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and convinced prosecutors to release enough blood so state-of-the-art DNA tests could be conducted.

The DNA results are in. Hook is mum, but he will reveal the results Monday on the 9 PM news.

If the blood is a match with the blood found in Carpenter's car, it's close to a slam dunk he was the killer, but he can't be prosecuted for 2 reasons ... double jeopardy, and he's dead.

"Shameless" star Steve Howey and his wife, Sarah Shahi, put their former nanny through the wringer -- over being Muslim, over her body, and sexually harassed her ... according to the nanny's lawsuit.

Howey and Shahi -- who's starred in "Person of Interest," "Chicago Fire" and "The L Word" -- hired Sarah Alaseri in July 2012 to take care of their 3 kids ... but Alaseri says Howey would berate her about following Muslim customs in their presence. She says the verbal abuse got so bad, she felt she couldn't do her daily prayers in the house.

Howey's wife, on the other hand, was all about sharing sexual gossip and innuendo with her nanny ... according to the suit. Alaseri says Shahi would encourage her to get in shape and "run off" with Howey. Why?

According to Alaseri, Shahi told her about an affair with an "A-list" actor who left her "sore" -- and she even played show and tell. The nanny says Shahi whipped out pics of her lover's junk, and said she wanted to "move on with her life" ... without Howey.

The nanny says after 3 years, the abuse was too much to handle, and she quit. She's suing for damages for back wages, harassment, wrongful termination -- basically, a lot of money.

The lawsuit is damn near ripped from a "Shameless" script. On the show, Howey's character and his wife both slept with their nanny and then invited her into a sort of 3-way marriage.

We've reached out to Howey and Shahi's reps ... no word back.

Not relevant to the suit, but still a fun fact -- Shahi is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Kendall Jenner should be on high alert -- the guy who followed her up her driveway just walked out of an L.A. courthouse a free man.

Kendall's alleged stalker, Shavaughn McKenzie, was sentenced Thursday after being found guilty of trespassing. The judge let him take jail time over probation. He'd been behind bars since he was arrested in August. He was granted time served, so no more jail time for this case.

McKenzie's mother was in court and promised to fly him home to Virginia to seek psychiatric treatment. Also, Kendall got a 5 year restraining order against him.

More troubling behavior from ex-Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle -- who was charged with a crime after allegedly ripping a TV off the wall in jail ... because he wanted to watch a certain show.

TMZ Sports has obtained court docs which show Randle was charged with criminal damage to property for the July 28 incident at the Sedgwick County Jail.

Officials say witnesses snitched on Randle -- most likely because he broke the whole TV which was damaged beyond repair. Everyone knows you don't mess with inmates' TV privileges!

Randle was (and is) behind bars stemming from an incident in which officials say he allegedly ran over multiple people with his car after losing a beer pong game.

Miss Honduras 2016 just brought her bosses to their knees ... pageant officials in Honduras have re-crowned her after they got threatened with an international lawsuit.

Sirey Moran was stripped of her crown by Miss Universe Honduras back in July after pageant honchos became enraged she was choosing to spend her time at charity events rather than gigs that would make money for the org.

What to do? Hire famed lawyer Joe Tacopina, who got the pageant to see it Sirey's way. Her crown was just restored, making her eligible to compete in Miss Universe. Tacopina's office tells us, "The Miss Universe Honduras Org and Sirey have resolved all previous conflicts concerning her title."

He continues, "Sirey looks forward to representing Miss Honduras at the Miss Universe competition early next year. We thank Paula Shugart and Miss Universe for helping to resolve the issue."

Everyone was mum on why the pageant folded, but we're told Tacopina made it clear in August ... some of the crown holders were in Sirey's corner, and Miss Universe Honduras officials know, there's nothing messier than a group of angry contestants with scepters.

Rose McGowan and her ex-husband aren't just walking away from their marriage ... they're abandoning their attempts at having babies through in vitro ... TMZ has learned.

Rose and artist David Leavitt's final divorce judgement was filed Thursday in L.A. -- and according to the docs they had an unspecified number of frozen embryos stored at a Bev Hills fertility clinic. As part of their divorce settlement, they're agreeing those embryos should "immediately be thawed and destroyed."

They never had kids during their 3 years of marriage ... so no child support issues, and neither will pay spousal support. As for property -- Rose gets their house, but each is keeping their vehicles and personal possessions.

N.Y. Mets star Jeurys Familia just pled not guilty to a domestic violence charge stemming from his arrest last week in New Jersey.

As we previously reported, the 27-year old pitcher was arrested for simple assault on October 31 after cops say he "caused bodily injury to another" during an alleged domestic dispute.

Familia appeared in Fort Lee Municipal Court -- with his attorney, wife and a translator -- and formally entered his plea.

Marilyn Monroe's pretty mug is being used to put asses in panties ... and now her estate's suing the lingerie line behind it to get them to stop.

The estate claims a lingerie company is blatantly trying to profit off the blonde bombshell's fame, and in doing so is confusing customers into thinking the underwear is an officially licensed product.

According to the docs ... the company's plastering Marilyn's face onto packaging and tags for its line. The estate says it fired off several warnings, but the retail panty parade continued.

Angelina Jolie is chomping at the bit to prove Brad Pitt abused at least one of his kids, and she thinks the divorce judge will believe her allegations and limit Brad's custody.

TMZ broke the story ... the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services has closed its child abuse investigation into an incident on a private jet between Brad and 15-year-old Maddox.

Angelina has filed for primary physical custody of the 6 kids ... Brad has responded, saying he wants joint custody. Sources connected with Angelina say she feels the kids would be at risk if Brad gets joint custody, and if he doesn't drop his claim she'll present evidence to the divorce judge that Brad has committed abuse.

A rep for Angelina tells TMZ, "Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal."

The rep adds there's a legal agreement in place, signed by both sides, in which Angelina currently has primary physical custody and Brad has monitored visitation. As we reported, however, that agreement was in place only during the DCFS investigation. Now that the investigation is closed, Brad and Angelina will have to duke it out before the divorce judge.

Brad Pitt has been cleared of abuse allegations by the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services, TMZ has learned, and that gives him a huge advantage in his custody war with Angelina Jolie.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... DCFS concluded Wednesday it would close the investigation involving an incident in Sept. between Brad and Maddox on a private jet. The Dept. reached the decision ... Brad did NOT commit child abuse during an argument that ended with physical contact.

The case was exhaustively investigated. Social workers interviewed Brad, Angelina, the kids and witnesses on the plane. Everyone cooperated in the investigation. No further action will be taken.

The conclusion is a repudiation of sorts of allegations made by Angelina, who claimed Brad intentionally and without justification struck the boy. We're told she also had claimed there was a pattern of misconduct on Brad's part, something DCFS did not buy.

Now that Brad is cleared, he has a big advantage in the custody case. Angelina is asking for sole physical custody and Brad wants joint custody. California judges favor Brad's position.

Donald Trump's life is already being shielded as if he was in office, and will remain so until he gets sworn in on Jan. 20 ... TMZ has learned.

Secret Service agents have been assigned to watch over Trump inside of Trump Tower in NYC, and cops are standing guard all around outside as well. We're told anyone going in and out of the building is being screened to keep the President-elect safe.

More than 30 NYPD officers are on high alert around the perimeter of the building, with police barricades and dump trucks taking over the entire block of 56th/57th streets off of 5th Ave ... completely closing off access to the public.

We're told only folks who work on those blocks are being allowed on the tower side of the street -- after protesters came over in droves, reacting to Trump's victory early Wednesday morning.
