Tempers flared on both sides as O'Reilly argued that the mosque has no place near the World Trade Center site because "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

Just as the women stormed off stage -- a rattled Walters proclaimed, "You have just seen what should not happen ... we should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking off stage."

Walters continued, "I love my colleagues, but that should not have happened."

Whoopi and Joy eventually returned to the set ... though Joy did not return to her usual seat, located right next to Bill ... instead sitting on the end of the couch.

The Parents Television Council -- the same group that criticized Miley's new controversial music video -- believes parents should be "alarmed" with the 17-year-old (who is also the face of Madonna's clothing line, Material Girl) posing on the cover of the hard rock mag Revolver "wearing lingerie, gun belt and nothing else."

PTC further states, "By posing in this way, with guns in hand, she is making guns and violence seem sexy, and contributing to the already epidemic problem of kids’ overexposure to hyper-sexualized media content, which has been linked to depression, eating disorders, and sexual risk-taking."

It's all over a building once called the Michael Jackson Auditorium located at Gardner Elementary School in Los Angeles -- where MJ attended classes back in 1970.

Michael's name was proudly displayed on the building from 1989 until 2003 ... when in the wake of the molestation allegations, school officials used plywood to cover up the words Michael and Jackson.

But an MJ support group claims it's an unfair punishment since MJ was never convicted of any wrongdoing ... and after he died, they launched a campaign to uncover MJ's name on the building.

And the campaign appears to be working -- so far, they've obtained more than 2000 signatures -- and got a meeting to plead their case in front of the school board next week.

It all went down earlier this afternoon -- when cops responded to a 911 call about a man who was threatening to jump off a building in downtown Atlanta ... the same building where Ryan Cameron's Radio Show on V103 is based.

We're told T.I. heard about the jumper on the radio -- and called Ryan Cameron to see if there was anything he could do to help out with the situation.

Ryan Cameron tells us ... he told T.I. to roll over to the building, where the rapper met with police and recorded a heartfelt video message which cops then played for the man on the roof.

We're told after the man saw T.I.'s video he agreed to step off the ledge ... and met T.I. in the lobby, where the two were able to talk things out.

Ryan Cameron also tells us that cops informed the radio station that they will not be pressing charges against the man.

Calls to T.I.'s reps have not been returned.

UPDATE: Sources have revealed to TMZ what T.I. said in the video message: "Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I'm here to help you. Please come down to talk to me."

TMZ broke the story that James Mee -- the deputy who arrested Mel in Malibu and witnessed his anti-Semitic rant -- filed a lawsuit against the County of L.A., claiming he was retaliated against after the L.A. County Sheriff's Department alleged he leaked the police report to TMZ.

Now the County is firing back -- asking that the suit be dismissed -- claiming the assertion that the Sheriff was retaliating against the deputy because he was Jewish is simply unsupportable. In legal papers, the County says, "Simply receiving a directive to proceed in one manner with respect to a police report cannot in and of itself be considered discriminatory."

As we first reported, Mee was ordered to take out all references to Mel's anti-Semitic comments.

The couple has been separated for a few months -- just like Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

There are no plans for divorce. But it's yet another 5-year itch. Ben Harper just filed for divorce from Laura Dern after 5 years.

Aguilera and Bratman have a 2-year-old son, Max.

We've learned ... days after recording Mel's crazy rants on February 18, Oksana met separately several times with Gloria and attorney Eric George. Oksana went back and forth before finally deciding to hire George.

Our sources say Gloria had advised Oksana to go to the cops immediately and file a domestic violence complaint. Gloria also told Oksana she should hold a news conference where she would play the secret tapes. It's important to note ... just two months before, Gloria scored a $10 million settlement for Rachel Uchitel and then canceled her news conference just hours before it was supposed to go down.

George engineered a $15 million package for Oksana and Lucia in May. Sources say during the mediation ... Oksana was back on the phone talking to Gloria. After signing the mediation docs, Oksana disavowed the deal and began lawyer shopping again. We do not know if Oksana continued talking to Gloria.

We asked Gloria about the meetings and whether she had anything to do with the possible sale of the tapes. Gloria said, "No comment. It is the policy of our law firm never to discuss who does or does not contact us and for those who do contact us we never disclose what is discussed."

Arquette explained that he and Courteney stopped having sex around one month before they started shooting "Scream 4" in Michigan ... and drifted from there.

He also claims Courteney was the one who insisted they try separating right after their 11th wedding anniversary back in June ... after she told David that she was "tired of being your mother."

David claims he still loves Courteney -- and calls her one of the most amazing people on the planet.

David is also adamant that he never cheated on Courteney before the split -- but admits he has had sex with rebound chick Jasmine Waltz ... his "one conquest."

Arquette also said he is hopeful he and Courteney can patch things up and get back together.

Rewind to 2003, when Lindsay was 17. Law enforcement in L.A. became aware that Lindsay had a stalker. The threat was so real ... an investigator was assigned to follow Lindsay around town to protect her and possibly bust the stalker.

But our sources say the investigator became alarmed when he saw Lindsay clubbing all over town, which made the investigator fear she was drinking and driving. Law enforcement then contacted Dina to give her the heads-up.

Dina wasn't answering her phone, so voicemail messages were left warning her of Lindsay's Hollywood antics. Dina never called back ... not even once.

A source close to Dina tells TMZ, “If law enforcement was so worried about Lindsay’s safety, why didn’t they send someone to Dina’s home to inform her?”

As we previously reported, sources close to Arquette tell us he started seeing Waltz after he and Courteney Cox decided to take a "trial separation."

A source close to the couple tells us the two are "still friends" and they maintain a business relationship with each other. In fact, sources tell us ... no lawyers are involved.

The couple has one child together.

David and Courteney met on the set of "Scream" sometime around 1995 ... and were married in 1999. They are currently co-starring in the upcoming "Scream" movie due out next year.

There was a hint of things to come back on September 25 when Arquette was spotted out, sans wedding ring.

UPDATE: The couple has released a statement saying, "We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

The statement continues, "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."

In new legal documents -- obtained by TMZ -- Dr. Murray's lawyer, Charles Peckham, is asking the judge to throw out statements attributed to Michael Jackson ... that Katherine Jackson was acting as an agent -- a go-between -- in funneling support money to Joe.

Peckham says the claims that Katherine was Michael's agent -- made by Joe's lawyer, Brian Oxman, and Leonard Rowe, the self-proclaimed former MJ advisor, are nothing but rank hearsay.

For example, Oxman said in legal papers filed last week, "[Michael Jackson] supported his father, Joseph Jackson, by making payments to his mother, Katherine Jackson, on a monthly basis." Peckham calls Oxman an "incompetent legal expert."

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Oksana likens the verbal abuse she claims to have suffered at the hands of Mel as "verbal rape."

As we first reported, production trucks for Oprah's show were parked outside the Jackson compound in Encino for the better part of Saturday. In the photos, Oprah can be seen meeting with several family members and getting the tour of the house.

We're told the interview focused heavily on Michael Jackson (duh) -- talking about his life, his kids and the book Katherine put together about his life.

Some of Lindsay's friends and relatives tell us ... LiLo is spending a lot of time talking to counselors about the path that led her to drug and alcohol addiction. And she's convinced the nightmare of growing up in such a dysfunctional family has taken its toll.

Lindsay repeatedly talks about allegations Dina made in her divorce papers ... that Michael abused her. Lindsay says she witnessed it firsthand, and it's still tough to deal with. In particular, Lindsay claims she had to step in and protect her mother from Michael. Michael has denied allegations of physical abuse.

Our sources say Lindsay talks a lot about growing up with a dad who was periodically behind bars. Add to that -- she moved out to L.A. at a very young age, with almost no parental supervision.

And, Lindsay believes, the tabloid scrutiny of her life has taken its toll.

Harper, a two-time Grammy winner, filed legal docs citing irreconcilable differences and is asking the judge to deny Dern spousal support.

And here's what's interesting … according to the papers, Harper claims he and Dern separated back in January. But people connected with the couple, who married back in 2005, tell TMZ they have been living and traveling together throughout the year and were even intimate as recently as last week.
