Kid Cudi Allegedly Blames Attack on Booze

Published | Updated

Kid Cudi has finally apologized to the guy he allegedly socked at a concert last year -- and blamed the whole thing on too much drinky drinky, this according to the self-proclaimed punchee.

Michael Sharpe -- the man who claims Cudi's fist connected with his face during a December show in Vancouver -- tells TMZ the rapper called him up last weekend to finally apologize, and blamed the knuckle sandwich on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.

Sharpe said Cudi also offered to fly him out to New York for an all-expenses paid weekend -- but so far, nothing is set in stone.

We reached out to Kid Cudi for comment -- so far, radio silence.

Red Cross Clears Kanye West in Battery Case

Published | Updated

Kanye West's criminal case involving an LAX run-in with photographers was dismissed a few minutes ago ... after his lawyer presented proof Kanye performed community service with the Red Cross.

Kanye and his manager, Don Crowley, had been charged with vandalism, battery and grand theft after they smashed the camera equipment of two photogs at LAX on September 11, 2008.

The judge agreed in October to dismiss the case if Kanye and Crowley showed proof they had each performed 50 hours of community service. Both men also agreed to take an anger management class.

Today, Kanye's lawyer, Blair Berk, and Crowley's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, went to court and showed proof that both men had worked for 50 hours at the Red Cross.

So the case is officially history.

Kid Cudi's Alleged Victim -- No Hard Feelings

Published | Updated

The guy who was allegedly punched by rapper Kid Cudi at a concert in Vancouver this weekend says he's just fine (see below) and he has no intentions of pressing charges.

Michael Sharpe tells TMZ it all went down like this: someone behind him threw a wallet onto the stage. He says Cudi tossed it back to the crowd and Michael caught it -- but since it wasn't his, he tossed it back. Sharpe says that's when Cudi came towards him and, he says, Cudi started to punch him.

Sharpe says his friends held him back and security quickly pulled Cudi away. Sharpe told us, "I'm not upset, I'm not going to be that person. I just want to meet him and be like 'I'm the guy you punched.' I'm not going to press charges."

Based on the minor injuries Sharpe suffered, we're not sure he'd have had much of a case anyway.

Before the brawl, Axl warns the paparazzi about a photog who was allegedly getting close to a woman in his entourage saying, "touch her again, I'll break his f**king neck."

Seconds later, the woman can be seen scuffling with a photog -- and that's when Axl charges in and swings for the photog's head ... knocking the guy right on his ass.

As members of Axl's entourage tried to rip the Guns n' Roses singer away, the rocker continued to stomp and kick the man while he was on the ground.

Members of Rose's crew eventually tore him away and walked to their gate. In the footage, it's clear two TSA agents observed the fight, but we've learned they never notified airport police.

Axl has since posted an article on his MySpace page, in which the paparazzi are described as "belligerent" -- it also states Rose was uninjured in the "unprovoked attack."
