Tito Ortiz is scrambling to protect his reputation in the face of a public smear campaign ... helmed by his baby mama Jenna Jameson -- telling TMZ, whatever she's about to say on TV is bound to be filled with lies ... because she's a dirty liar.

FYI, Jenna recently sat for an interview with "Entertainment Tonight." It's unclear what the interview is about, but Tito's guessing he's a main talking point ... and given their sordid history, he probably isn't portrayed in the best light.

So he's coming out to clear his name preemptively -- telling us, "I want to make it very clear that any and all allegations she has made about our personal life and my character are completely false. Jenna continues to paint a picture of distorted reality, which has been hurtful to both myself and my family. I hold sole custody over our boys, which speaks for itself."

He adds, "I am moving on with our life and with our boys, and I pray this is all over soon. I wish Jenna would get help to not only save herself, but for the children she brought into this world."

Just like George Zimmerman ... the police officer who snuck a pic of Zimmerman's driver's license during a routine traffic stop has been cleared of wrongdoing, TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Trayvon Martin's shooter was pulled over for speeding last week in Forney, Texas -- and audio from the dash cam footage revealed one of the officers snapped a photo (thanks to the unmistakable sound of the iPhone camera shutter).

Cops opened an investigation ... because pics for personal use are strictly prohibited.

The Forney City Manager, Brian Brooks, tells us ... the photo was Kosher. Brooks says the cop took the pic so his Lieutenant could see he pulled over the notorious defendant ... kind of a CYA.

Are you an ex-NFL player? Do you also like to murder people (allegedly)? Then you'd make the PERFECT guest star on "The League" ... so says Paul Scheer, who plays Andre on the show.

It's sorta become a badge of honor for NFL stars (past and present) to score a cameo on the FX series ... just ask Terrell Suggs, Adrian Peterson, Chad Johnson, Deion Sanders, Maurice Jones-Drew and J.J. Watt.

Scheer says the next guy he wants to bring on board is Aaron Hernandez -- but not to act -- he's got a job in mind that requires AH's unique alleged skill set.

Legendary Spanish radio host Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo isn't pulling any punches after a former employee accused him of sexual harassment -- telling us the man behind the allegations hasn't been right in the head for a long time.

As we reported, Alberto "Beto" Cortez -- a former writer, producer and performer on the Piolin por la Manana show -- accused Piolin of physically, sexually and emotionally harassing him for 3 years ... but Piolin gave TMZ a statement, insisting it's BS ... and Beto's emotionally erratic history backs him up.

Piolin says he stood by Beto for more than a decade "through all of Beto's personal travails," but Beto went off his rocker in 2012 ... and Piolin could no longer protect him. Piolin says Univision decided not to renew Beto's contract as a result ... and now, Beto's out for revenge.

TMZ has obtained an email sent from Beto to Univision higher-ups -- sent in 2012 -- in which he admits that his life has gone off the rails and he's trying to get better. He was let go shortly afterward. Piolin claims the email proves Beto was nuts before these allegations surfaced.

Piolin is currently off the air as a result of Beto's allegations, but tells us, "I plan to be back on the radio very soon."

Gary Lineker is a soccer legend -- he's even been enshrined in England's Football Hall of Fame -- which is why it's a little shocking that someone with his experience and soccer knowledge believes Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Pele.

Lineker -- who's now a popular soccer analyst -- was leaving STK this weekend when we asked how Ronaldo's career compares to Pele's.

"Ronaldo is Ronaldo," Lineker told us ... "He's better than Pele."

Aaron Hernandez is jonesin' for the Internet ... according to a new letter he wrote to a fan.

TMZ has obtained a second letter Hernandez recently wrote behind bars, thanking a fan for a Facebook support page she started ... a page he can't read because jail is an Internet-free zone.

He wrote, "Thanks for the site and sry [sic] I can't check site [sic] there is no internet in jail lol."

Correct ... Hernandez wrote out the word "lol" in pen.

Also, FYI, Hernandez is now aware that his jail letters are making headlines. We spoke to the sheriff at the jail who tells us, Hernandez has been warned to be careful with his letters because TMZ keeps publishing them.

Ohio rapist kidnapper Ariel Castro is the new Lindsay Lohan ... at least in Matt Lauer's eyes -- because the "Today" host has been turned away from interviewing him, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us, Matt and his crew showed up Friday morning at the Cuyahoga County justice center in Cleveland -- where Castro is being held -- but sheriff's deputies turned him away because the media was persona non grata.

It wasn't Castro's choice -- we're told Lauer's timing was just off. In fact, sources at the jail tell TMZ ... when Lauer walked in to the jail, he made it seem as if the interview was prearranged -- something to the effect of, "I'm here to interview Ariel Castro."

It's the second time Lauer's been turned away from a major interview -- back in 2011, Lindsay Lohan shut Matt down at her front door.

Alex Rodriguez will never play baseball again ... is what some people think -- just because he scarfed down 20 wings at a Hooters, just as he's supposed to be getting in game shape.

Aaron Hernandez wrote a pen pal a letter from inside his jail cell, declaring his innocence, saying his murder charges are God's plan, and vowing to return to the NFL ... and TMZ has a copy.

Karl also says he would like to visit Aaron in jail -- if Aaron will let him.

FYI, Hernandez -- who's been accused of murdering semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd -- has been denied bail and will remain behind bars until his trial.

It's the most recognizable iPhone sound on the planet -- the camera shutter -- and now it's biting one Texas cop in the ass ... after he apparently snapped a sneaky iPhone photo during the George Zimmerman traffic stop this weekend.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the officer who pulled Zimmerman over for speeding on Sunday is currently under investigation after dash cam footage revealed he took an iPhone picture during the stop ... at least that's the way it sounds.

You can plainly hear the telltale sound in the video -- followed by the "unlock" sound and typing iPhone keys. You'll hear it 29 seconds into the video.

It's unclear what photo the officer snapped -- or if he sent it to anyone -- but if he took a pic of Zimmerman's driver's license for personal use ... he could be in trouble.

With his career in jeopardy and cheating allegations swirling ... Alex Rodriguez found comfort at a Hooters in Florida this weekend ... TMZ has learned.

We've confirmed ... A-Rod and a lady friend walked in to the chicken joint in Sarasota, Florida this weekend and went to town on chicken wings.

Hooters sources ... yeah, we got those ... tell us A-Rod and his woman woofed down a total of 20 wings (medium sauce) along with an order of curly fries ... and washed it down with a soda and an unsweetened tea.

We're told A-rod left a pretty great tip and was super nice to everyone in the restaurant.

Unclear if either Alex or the chickens tested positive for growth hormones.

1:55 PM PT -- We've obtained the police dashcam video of the stop ... in which George Zimmerman informs the cop he has a firearm in his glove box.

Both Zimmerman and the officer are very polite to each other during the stop.

Zimmerman remains in his vehicle during the entire incident.

George Zimmerman is still armed and theoretically dangerous ... he was stopped by cops for speeding and revealed he had a gun in his glove compartment.

Zimmerman was speeding in Forney, Texas on Sunday, just after noon, when he was stopped by police. Zimmerman told cops he was headed "nowhere in particular," and informed them he had a firearm in his glove compartment.

Zimmerman was given a warning, after cops determined he was free of warrants. He was sent on his way with a polite goodbye, "Have a safe trip."

The stop lasted around 5 minutes.

BTW ... law enforcement tells TMZ ... he was NOT wearing a disguise ... it was full blown George Zimmerman.

Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo -- perhaps the biggest star on Spanish radio -- has been yanked off the air in the wake of sexual harassment allegations ... and the accuser is a popular performer on the radio show.

The man behind the allegations is Alberto "Beto" Cortez -- who was a writer, producer and performer on the "Piolin por la Manana" show ... which aired on 50 stations across the country.

According to the L.A. times, which broke the story, "Beto" claims his boss "Piolin" had been "physically, sexually and emotionally harassing" him for 3 years.

While it doesn't appear "Beto" has filed a lawsuit at this point, he has made several allegations in a letter to Piolin's bosses at Univision. In the letter, "Beto" claims "Piolin" would grab his ass and genitals when he would arrive to the Glendale office in the mornings.

"Beto" also claims "Piolin" would berate him with homophobic slurs -- even though "Beto" is straight and has a girlfriend.

"Beto" says he has witnesses that will back up the allegations.

As for Piolin, the radio star adamantly denies the claims ... and released a statement through his lawyer accusing "Beto" of concocting the story in a pathetic attempt at a shakedown.

"A disgruntled, troubled employee has made malicious and false claims about Eddie Sotelo," the statement reads. "This was done as part of a demand for money. The employee worked with Eddie for more than a decade. The employee's allegations of harassment ... are pure fiction intended to gain a financial settlement."

L.A. Dodgers sensation Yasiel Puig went back to Cuba last night -- or as close as he's gonna get to it in Hollywood ... and a TMZ camera guy was there to roll out the bad Spanglish welcome mat.

Puig hit up El Floridita restaurant in Hollywood last night for some of L.A.'s most authentic Cuban food and music -- and on the way out our guy hit him up about ... "los playoffs."

With his rehab in full swing, Kobe Bryant proved his achilles is healthy enough for tourist activity this weekend by strolling around Italy with his family.

Kobe -- along with his wife Vanessa and their daughters Natalia and Gianna -- were spotted walking around Capri like regular people.

Kobe recently told an Italian media outlet that he's in the country for vacation -- but found some time to do some rehab at the Milanello Sports Centre, the training facility for famed Italian soccer club A.C. Milan.

As for Kobe and Vanessa ... we broke the story, VB called off the divorce back in January ... and it appears the two are just like peas and carrots again.
