El Palacio de Buckingham parece estar aprendiendo una lección de la saga con Kate Middleton, pues están buscando a una nueva persona que los ayude a manejar la relación con los medios, aunque alguien que va a ocupar un lugar relativamente bajo en la nómina.

Seguidores con ojos de águila descubrieron una oferta de trabajo que parece ser relativamente nueva y dice que el Palacio de Buckingham está contratando a un asistente de comunicaciones para manejar todo lo relativo a los medios de comunicación, incluyendo consultas de prensa y una serie de otras responsabilidades.

Buckingham Palace seems to be taking a lesson from the Kate Middleton saga ... 'cause they're looking for a new worker bee to help handle the media for them ... albeit, someone who's gonna be relatively low on the payroll.

In a job posting that just got spotted this week by eagle-eyed parties -- and which appears to be relatively new -- BP says they're hiring a communications assistant to handle all things media for them ... including press inquiries and a host of other responsibilities.

It's interesting timing given the off-the-charts intrigue swirling around the Princess of Wales.

Among the other duties ... BP is looking for someone to provide administrative support, distribute media credentials for palace functions, and "Produce content for a variety of platforms, including media advisories, social media updates and feature articles."

Buckingham Palace's listing doesn't ask for proficiency in Photoshop ... so, no picture touch-ups will be required, it seems. But, social media fluency is clearly important to the Crown.

Important to note here ... Buckingham Palace isn't the official residence of Prince William and Kate -- that's Kensington Palace. Buckingham handles King Charles' day-to-day life -- so it may not be connected to Kate at all.

In fact, a Palace rep told us repeatedly this was a Buckingham thing and not Kensington (which is obvious) and refused to say whether Kate-Gate played any role in them posting it. They also refused to tell us when this first went up.

Of course, many are already assuming the team at Buckingham is worried about a flood of media inquiries if something similar should ever happen to Charles -- especially given his recent cancer diagnosis -- and that they're getting ahead of a would-be repeat scandal.

We've been following the Princess Kate drama pretty closely ... and we've even got a documentary -- "TMZ Investigates: Where is Kate Middleton?" airing on FOX tonight at 9/8c.

One last note ... check out the pay for this gig. It comes out to just under $32,500/year USD -- not exactly a king's ransom coming down from the Royal Family!

Derek Hough's wife, Hayley Erbert, appears to be feeling a whole lot better after her terrifying health scare ... because she's back on the dance floor!

The couple each posted a tender photo on their Instagram accounts Wednesday, showing Derek standing alongside Hayley in a dance studio with his arm around her. Hayley's head is resting on the shoulder of the popular "Dancing With The Stars" judge.

Their captions read, "Stepping onto this blank canvas together. Beginning to paint again."

The sweet image marked three months since Derek publicly announced that Hayley was recovering from brain surgery after she became disorientated following a dance performance and was rushed to a Washington D.C. hospital.

In his IG statement back then ... Derek said Hayley had a "long road of recovery" after she suffered a cranial hematoma, requiring and an emergency craniectomy.

What that means is blood forms within brain tissue or below the skull, putting pressure on the cranium. This is usually caused by a blood vessel that bursts in the brain due to head trauma, possibly leading to death.

All that sounds pretty bad ... but it seems as if Hayley – a pro dancer -- has bounced back and might be ready to boogie down again.

Elon Musk has finally pulled back the curtain on what Neuralink has been doing behind the scenes -- showing off their very first subject using their tech ... and it's incredible.

The Tesla chief -- who also heads Neuralink -- posted a link from his company that featured about 9 minutes of video from Neuralink ... and it's a full-blown testimonial from a guy named Noland Arbaugh -- a 29-year-old quadriplegic who went under the knife for this.

He says he was in a freak diving accident about 8 years ago, and it left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. After hearing about what Neuralink could do, however, he signed up.

The clip goes on to show how exactly the technology works -- and sure enough ... you can see Noland using his mind to move a mouse around on a laptop that's set up in front of him ... on which the guy's playing chess. It looks pretty seamless, and he's got it down pat!

Noland is able to move chess pieces on the screen and even turn down music -- all by simply thinking about where he wants the mouse to go. He gets into the weeds a bit in describing how exactly he does it ... saying he's implementing something called imagined movement, trying to pivot away from attempted movement with a whole lot of brain power.

Like we said ... he certainly seems to have a knack for it now -- and even more amazing is how well he appears to be doing post-surgery, something else he touches on in this video.

Noland gives a ringing endorsement for Neuralink -- acknowledging there's still much work to do to perfect it ... but saying the progress they've made so far is promising. He says the number of people this could potentially help is staggering ... and he's happy to be patient #1.

It's pretty powerful visuals ... and you gotta imagine more folks are gonna put their names down to be guinea pigs for this effort -- especially seeing how well it's gone thus far.

The Detroit Pistons will be without Ausar Thompson for the rest of the season ... after it was revealed the rookie guard is receiving treatment for blood clot issues.

The Pistons announced the unfortunate news ahead of their game against the Pacers on Wednesday ... saying Thompson will not play tonight or the last 13 games of the regular season due to the medical situation.

The good news?? The 6'6" athlete is expected to recover and return in time for next season.

Detroit released a statement on Thompson's status ... saying, "Under the guidance of Pistons team physician Dr. Ramsey Shehab of Henry Ford Health, Thompson has been cleared to resume conditioning and will begin non-contact basketball activities at the conclusion of the regular season with a gradual ramp up over the summer months in preparation for a full return next season."

Thompson last played on March 9th ... scoring 4 points in the Pistons' 124-142 loss to the Mavericks.

In 63 games this season, the former No. 5 overall pick averaged 8.8 points and 6.4 rebounds. He also became the youngest player (20) to earn at least 5 blocks in their first NBA game.

The Pistons also announced Isaiah Stewart is also out for the season with a right hamstring strain he suffered during Monday's game.

The federal lawmaker made his case on "TMZ Live" Wednesday ... telling us that working 5 days straight -- the way we all currently do -- leaves people drained, less productive and completely stressed and tired. To him, it's no wonder they show up to work feeling burnt out.

In contrast, Bernie says if we give people 3 days off, Corporate America will reap the benefits long-term -- as he argues worker bees' productivity and focus will soar when they come back to the job after a nice little break ... adding that a bunch of scientific studies back his claims.

Bernie makes the point that because the rich keep getting richer -- with the middle class staying stagnant -- a lot of regular folks would love this change ... which is why he's proposing it becomes a law. Whether it actually has a chance to pass ... different story.

It certainly sounds good on paper, though. Bernie tells us that his proposal won't cut salaries or pay for workers if implemented -- meaning employees will still get paid as if they'd worked a 5-day workweek ... even though in actuality, it'll just be 32 hours instead of 40.

The bill still needs to get through the Republican-controlled house and a 60-vote approval in the Senate ... so like we said, it'll be an uphill battle for sure.

In any case, Bernie's hoping the whole thing ignites a larger convo about the American grind, and what's important in life. No surprise Bernie's taking this position fighting for the people -- it's his M.O., and you can expect more of the same from a new podcast he's launching this week. It's "Bernie: The Podcast" and in the first episode, he'll be discussing his book.

The title of that ... "It's OK to Be Angry About Capitalism" -- lots of good insights, of course.

Richard Simmons is sparking concern for his well-being once again ... this time announcing he's been diagnosed with cancer.

The fitness guru says he got the skin cancer diagnosis after a recent visit to the dermatologist -- an appointment he made when he noticed a strange bump under his right eye that wouldn't go away.

Richard said Tuesday, in a Facebook post, his doctor removed the blemish, examined it and came back with a basal cell carcinoma diagnosis -- the most common form of skin cancer.

As the 75-year-old detailed it ... he was referred to a specialist, who did a procedure that involved burning his skin twice -- so all the cancer could be removed.

This is the second time Richard has sparked concern for his health this week. Remember, a couple days ago, he announced on Facebook that he was dying.

After countless fans posted messages of love and concern, Richard clarified he wasn't actually dying -- anymore than the rest of us -- and he apologized for causing any confusion.

He explained ... "Sorry many of you have gotten upset about my message today ... I am not dying. It was a message about saying how we should embrace every day that we have."

Richard has been interacting with his fans quite a bit in recent months -- quite a turnaround, considering he completely disappeared from the public back in 2014.

That fueled years of rumors about his well-being ... until 2022, when we dropped "TMZ Investigates: What Really Happened to Richard Simmons," detailing the real reasons he's pulled back from his adoring fans.

Most recently, he's also been posting a lot about Pauly Shore's planned biopic about his life -- a project Richard's not down with, but Pauly insists he's moving forward.

Somebody at the hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated earlier this year allegedly tried to sneak a peek at her medical records, but got caught -- this per a new report.

The Mirror dropped this bombshell Tuesday, claiming they've been told that at least one staffer at the London Clinic had attempted to access Kate's personal file -- presumably to see what was actually wrong with her -- but the outlet says they were intercepted in the act.

There's not much more detail in terms of how exactly this unfolded, or what happened to the worker who allegedly did this ... not to mention who saw them and put a stop to it.

In any case, the Mirror says an internal investigation has been launched at the London Clinic -- and they claim top brass at the hospital contacted Kensington Palace once they became alerted to the attempted security breach, and promised they'd get to the bottom of it.

The Mirror also reports that other workers there are shocked and shaken up by this -- as the London Clinic is a well-respected and usually honorable medical establishment that treats high-profile people ... including members of the Royal family at large.

The London Clinic told The Mirror, "We firmly believe that all our patients, no matter their status, deserve total privacy and confidentiality regarding their medical information."

No word on whether this has been reported to cops either -- but from the sounds of it, it hasn't. The Metropolitan Police in London tells us ... "We can’t provide anything on this, as we need to know if the London Clinic have reported it to us and, if so, when."

Remember, this is the same hospital Prince William was seen leaving in January -- shortly after Kate was hospitalized to undergo an abdominal surgery ... for a mysterious ailment.

There was a lot of questions about her health/condition then -- but not nearly as much as there is now considering she's been MIA for months ... only just surfacing again Saturday.

That's why it's shocking to hear this, assuming it's true. On its face, it seems at least one staffer was gravely curious to see what was up with Kate ... risking their job and reputation to steal a glance at her chart at the time, when most everyone was content to leave her be.

Of course, a lot has happened since Kate left this hospital -- including lots of conspiracy theories on her health and whereabouts, which have reached peak levels of absurdity.

Kensington Palace, of course, has been fairly mum over just about all of it. We've reached out to the London Clinic and the Palace on this new story ... so far, no word back yet.

One of the UK's most popular Kate Middleton look-alikes is addressing the conspiracy theorists who think she's actually the woman in the new vid of Prince William and his wife -- and she has a solid alibi for her whereabouts.

Heidi Agan tells TMZ she was working at the head office of a dance school in Northamptonshire on Saturday -- which is about 80 miles from the Windsor Farm Shop. So, as Shaggy would put it ... Heidi says "it wasn't me" in that footage first posted Monday by TMZ.

Although it's not necessarily surprising conspiracy theorists are wondering if she was involved ... as Heidi says she was confused for being Kate during a recent outing -- she says the place erupted when people thought the MIA princess had surfaced.

And, Heidi has been busier than ever thanks to the constant speculation regarding Kate's whereabouts. The pro look-alike says normally her work is busy when the royals are busy -- whether that's because of weddings, pregnancies, etc.

However, despite Kate stepping back from the spotlight, Heidi claims she still has a lot of requests coming in.

As for how she feels about the conspiracy theories -- Heidi thinks the speculation has gone a bit too far and has sympathy for the Duchess of Wales. She personally thinks Kate is fine and is simply recovering from abdominal surgery ... just as the Palace announced back in January.

While Kate is a public figure, Heidi believes the royal has a right to her privacy when it comes to her medical records, and reminds fans the Princess isn't public property.

She points to the lack of information as the fuel for the increasingly wild theories ... especially since King Charles was so forthcoming with his cancer diagnosis.

The Mother's Day photo was just icing on the cake ... since it was likely meant to squash any concern, but did the exact opposite.

Oprah Winfrey is opening up about the extreme lengths she's taken to lose weight over the years ... revealing she previously starved herself in order to drop some pounds.

The talk show legend discusses her years of yo-yo dieting in her new ABC special, "Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution," sharing that it took a liquid diet to help her lose 67 pounds -- which she famously marked in 1988 by wheeling out a wagon filled with fat during an episode of her talk show.

The revelation she's making in the special, though, is that celebration of weight loss was extremely short-lived -- Oprah now admits she began gaining the weight back almost the very next day after that show ... becoming the object of public ridicule.

Weight loss has become a major part of Oprah's brand, having previously become a brand ambassador for, and major investor in, WeightWatchers.

Everyone remembers her "I love bread" commercial, right?

Earlier this month, she stepped down from her position on the WW board of directors after nearly 10 years ... following her admission she's now using weight loss drugs.

Oprah says she left WeightWatchers to avoid a conflict of interest while making this new ABC special ... since WW is now doling out weight loss drug prescriptions.
