'L&HH' Star Tommie Lee Escapes Hard Time in Child Abuse Case ... With One MAJOR Caveat

Published

Tommie Lee might want to send her judge a Christmas card this year, because despite facing up to 54 years ... she won't spend a day in prison, IF she stays out of trouble ... for the next decade.

The 'Love & Hip Hop' star was sentenced Friday in her child abuse case after pleading guilty to 5 charges -- including first-degree cruelty to children. The judge gave her 10 years, but none of them will be served in prison. Instead, Tommie's been ordered to complete a residential recovery program and 12 months of successful aftercare with licensed doctors.

If she does that, she'll remain on probation for the rest of the sentence -- that's the good news for her. The difficult part is ... that's a long time to keep her nose clean, and any slipup could mean immediate prison time.

Under her probation conditions, Tommie can't have violent contact with a child, can't travel outside the state of Georgia without written approval and can't attend work or promo events where drugs or alcohol are present. That part could make 'L&HH' shoots difficult.

She'll also have an 11 PM curfew, pay a $1,000 fine and submit to random drug and alcohol testing. We're told she's already out of custody and in the recovery program.

We broke the story ... Lee requested entry into the court's mental health program following her arrest and indictment on child abuse charges for assaulting her middle school-aged daughter. A judge denied her, but it seems Tommie's going to get help after all.

Now, she's just gotta stay out of trouble ... for a long time.

We're told Rah Ali was in her house Sunday when her water broke and contractions started. She was rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her baby.

Remy Ma Facing 4 Charges In Alleged Assault Case

Published | Updated

Remy Ma's been hit with a new criminal complaint for allegedly punching Brittney Taylor ... and there are some very significant updates.

Prosecutors filed 4 charges against the rapper Friday -- 2 counts of assault in the third degree, 1 count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and 1 count of harassment in the second degree ... all of which are misdemeanors.

The charges stem from an incident in April, in which Remy allegedly punched the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star in the right eye while backstage at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza in NYC. She was initially booked for misdemeanor assault after turning herself in ... but prosecutors have now made the multiple charges official.

Here's what's interesting ... Remy's attorney, Dawn Florio, tells TMZ that prosecutors have updated the time in which they claim the attack went down, from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM. We're told they still do not have any video of the alleged attack.

However, the timing is important because as we told you ... Remy claimed she had visual proof she was nowhere near the venue or Taylor at the time she was accused of punching her, which was 9:30. Now that's been updated to an hour later to match up with the rapper being present at the concert.

Though she's facing 4 charges, we're told Remy has been offered a deal to plead guilty to just the top charge -- assault in the third degree -- and the rest will be dropped. She'd also have to enter a long-term anger management program.

So far, Remy hasn't taken the deal ... the case is set for trial in July.

Ex-'Love & Hip Hop' Star Hazel-E I'm Not Gonna Fight City Girls' Yung Miami ... We Lost Nipsey to 'Ignorant Stuff'

Published | Updated

Hazel-E is taking the high road in her simmering beef with City Girls rapper Yung Miami ... the ex-'Love & Hip Hop' star says she wants their feud to stay on diss tracks, instead of turning violent.

Hazel, one of Katt Williams' ex-GFs, tells TMZ ... she's not about to start throwing hands with Yung Miami, because she's too grown for barbaric problem-solving. She also points out the music industry already lost Nipsey Hussle to what she calls "ignorant stuff."

Their beef started this week after Hazel accused the City Girls rapper of jacking some of her beats -- and once YM started calling her every name in the book ... Hazel unleashed a vicious diss track.

Yung Miami responded with a not-so-friendly invitation for Hazel to come meet her in the 305, so they could settle things with their fists.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Even with all the heated trash talk, Hazel says she won't be drawn into a fight because it won't solve anything. She thinks musical beef is the better option ... that way everyone can profit.

Hazel did take some shots though when we spoke to her, and threatened to sue Yung Miami for stealing music.

Smell that??? Fresh beef on the grill.

Raz B Taking My Drama to Hollywood ... Joining 'Love & Hip Hop' Cast

Published | Updated

Raz B is turning his relationship drama into cold, hard cash by signing on to become the newest cast member of "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to production on the VH1 reality show tell us ... Raz B has already joined 'L&HH' and for the past few weeks a film crew's been following him around, capturing all his ups and downs on the B2K reunion tour.

We're told Raz B inked his deal last month with the show's Hollywood branch ... and he'll be featured in the upcoming season.

Raz B is already giving 'L&HH' plenty of content. As we first reported ... he got arrested in Minneapolis this week after cops said he strangled his girlfriend during an argument outside a Macy's. Ultimately, the County Attorney's Office decided not to prosecute the singer based on a lack of evidence.

We're told you won't see Raz B's jail stint on the show, though -- cameras weren't rolling at the time of the incident with his GF.

Still, y'know the drama will be part of a storyline. It's what 'L&HH' does ... and does well.

Remy Ma Visual Evidence Will Clear Me ... Soon as Prosecutors See It

Published

The visual evidence Remy Ma has for prosecutors in her assault case is so cut and dry, she knows they'll have no choice but to drop it ... so says her lawyer.

The rapper's attorney, Dawn Florio, tells TMZ ... Remy has security cameras installed in her house that show she was there at 9:30 PM on April 16 -- the same time "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Brittney Taylor claims Remy punched her backstage during a concert at NYC's Irving Plaza.

We already knew this, but according to Florio ... prosecutors were "dumbfounded" in court this week when Remy's side claimed to have evidence to support she was nowhere near the spot of the alleged assault.

Remy's lawyer's confident once they review the home security footage, Taylor's case will be destroyed and Remy will be cleared.

There's more -- Florio insists there's NO surveillance footage from Irving Plaza that backs Taylor's claim she was assaulted in the green room area ... AND Florio says she's obtained a photo from the night of the alleged assault timestamped hours afterward that shows Brittney with no visible marks on her face.

Florio also claims after Remy left her house that night, she stopped at Target to pick up some items for her baby and didn't arrive at Irving Plaza until around 10:45 PM ... 15 minutes before she was scheduled to perform at 11.

We broke the story ... Remy turned herself in to authorities this week and was booked for misdemeanor assault. Along with the criminal case, Remy could be hit with a lawsuit as well ... because Taylor's retained a civil attorney.

Remy Ma Alleged Assault Victim Gears Up to Sue

Published | Updated

The woman Remy Ma allegedly punched at a concert in NYC wants the venue and police to preserve surveillance footage of the incident ... a sure sign she's about to sue the rapper.

'Love & Hip Hop' star Brittney Taylor filed legal docs this week asking the Irving Plaza and NYPD to hold on to video, photographs, investigative reports and all other evidence in connection to her alleged altercation with Remy ... during the Pretty Lou's Benefit Concert on April 16.

As we reported, Taylor claims Remy punched her in the right eye after the 2 had an argument in the backstage area. Brittney went to the hospital for treatment and filed a police report.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

So far, there have been no arrests or charges filed, and sources close to Remy say there's no validity to the story.

Taylor's sticking to it, though. According to the legal docs ... she says she suffered serious personal injuries and believes there's surveillance of the incident.

Obviously, getting her hands on it would be huge for her case.

Remy Ma Probed for Alleged Assault At Concert in New York

Published | Updated

7:37 PM PT -- Law enforcement says Brittney told cops she was attacked by Remy after she entered the backstage area at Irving Plaza.

Brittney claims they "exchanged words" in the greenroom -- relating to an attack on Remy's stepdaughter, Dejanae, that happened a few weeks ago -- and Remy threw the punch. Brittney claims Remy accused her of knowing about the attack on Dejanae.

Brittney went to the hospital for treatment, and then filed a police report.

On Remy's side, sources close to her say there's no validity to this story.

'L&HH' Star Tommie Lee Denied Enrollment In Court's Mental Health Program

Published | Updated

Tommie Lee's past is coming back to bite her ... because prosecutors say her lengthy rap sheet means she's ineligible to enter a mental health program -- which would have spared from time behind bars.

We broke the story ... the 'Love & Hip Hop' star submitted a petition in her child abuse case to allow her to get treatment for a serious mental illness, which she claimed she was diagnosed with around the same time she was charged with child abuse in Georgia.

Tommie got her answer -- no can do.

According to a new legal doc obtained by TMZ ... the Assistant District Attorney determined Lee's criminal history and background -- along with other evidence, facts and allegations -- "make her an inappropriate candidate for an accountability court."

As we reported ... Tommie was indicted in January on multiple child abuse charges for allegedly assaulting her middle school-aged daughter. She's facing 7 charges, and since she's been shut down for the mental health program -- she could get up to 54 years in prison, if convicted.

Lee was arrested twice before in connection to this case -- once for the alleged assault in October, and again less than 24 hours later for violating a court order to stay away from her kid.

She was also tossed back in jail in March for showing up drunk for a hearing in the case.

As for her mental health issues ... Tommie told our Raquel Harper she's bipolar in a 2016 episode of "Raq Rants."

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, an attorney for the former 'Love & Hip Hop' star is petitioning the court in her child abuse case to allow Tommie to get treatment for a serious mental illness. She says she was diagnosed before or around the same time as she was charged with child abuse, and her condition is a significant part of her case.

Tommie says she's willing to meet a long list of requirements to enter the program, such as staying sober, submitting to random drug testing and attending self-help meetings. It's the first step in a month-long process ... applications are considered by a committee, which includes a prosecutor, and it will take about 30 days to decide Tommie's fate.

While Tommie doesn't reveal her specific diagnosis in the docs ... when she sat down with our Raquel Harper for a 2016 episode of "Raq Rants," Tommie said she was bipolar.

Sounds like Tommie really is serious about getting herself some help ... after she showed up drunk to court last month, she promised to seek treatment.

But, Tommie fell off the wagon before last week's court appearance ... and our sources claim the stress of the case caused her relapse. She was indicted on child abuse charges earlier this year, and she's facing up to 54 years in jail if convicted on all 7 charges.

Tommie Lee needs some serious help, because she's back in jail for being extremely drunk ... during a court appearance!

The former 'Love & Hip Hop' star showed up to court last week in Cobb County, GA for a hearing in her child abuse criminal case. Law enforcement sources tell us she appeared to be intoxicated -- so much so the judge ordered her to undergo drug and alcohol testing immediately.

Spoiler alert -- the new mug shot was also a dead giveaway -- but she failed. We're told Tommie's BAC was 0.16 ... twice the legal limit, and a violation of her bond. Tommie was arrested on the spot, and no bail's been set yet.

You'll recall ... Tommie was trying to get approval to move to Cali for work while she was out on bond, but a judge shot her down ... citing her long rap sheet as the reason. She's currently facing multiple charges of child abuse for her October 2018 arrest.

'L&HH: Atlanta' New Season Trailer Why Spice Went White Face

Published | Updated

'Love & Hip Hop' star Spice was apparently feeling pressured by the music industry about her "look," which might be why she went full white face to promote new music ... or so it seems.

In an exclusive clip teasing season 8, obtained by TMZ, Spice is being told by an artist development agent that her appearance is sub-par, which sends her barreling into a doctor's office as she starts to consider whether she should potentially bleach her skin.

It's pretty dramatic ... the doc even tells her she should get a psychological evaluation before pursuing any bleaching. It sure looks like Spice didn't appreciate that.

The trailer captures just part of the convo that seems to have sent Spice down the rabbit hole of questioning her "look," but VH1 released the full thing. The guy, Von, doesn't say anything about lightening, but suggests her current image might not work in the U.S.

As we reported ... Spice definitely went full white face as part of the rollout for her new mixtape, "Black Hypocrisy," which shocked the hell out of everyone and their mothers.

Interestingly enough, Spice later said publicly that she had not, in fact, bleached her skin ... and that the photo was aimed at raising awareness of colorism among black people.

That's definitely not how the new trailer plays it here, but it sounds like folks will have to tune in to see what really went down. Season 8 premieres on March 25.

'L&HH' Star Tommie Lee Not Going Back to Cali, Cali, Cali ... Move Shut Down in Court

Published | Updated

'Love & Hip Hop' star Tommie Lee desperately wants to move to Cali, but the judge just told her ... I don't think so -- and it's all due to her long criminal history.

Remember, Tommie is out on bond in her Georgia child abuse case ... and according to court docs, obtained by TMZ, the judge denied her request to move to L.A. for work. She also asked to ditch her ankle monitoring device, but again the judge said no way after reviewing her lengthy rap sheet.

In docs, the judge noted her criminal history stretches back some 15 years with multiple convictions for theft, fraud and deceptive conduct ... even while on probation.

It damn sure didn't help her case that Tommie was arrested twice within 24 hours for the child abuse case that prompted her wearing the monitoring device.

As we first reported, she's been indicted and faces a possible 54 years in prison.

Safaree Fails to Show for 'L&HH' Reunion VH1 Threatens Legal Action

Published | Updated

6:40 PM PT -- A show source tells us Safaree just arrived to the reunion in the last hour ... making a dramatic entrance halfway through the reunion. We're told he failed to make his contractual obligation of the full day and it's still possible there will be consequences from the network.

Safaree just did a total 180 on his commitment to attend the 'Love & Hip Hop' reunion ... a move that could cost him some serious cash.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ, Safaree was supposed to appear in Atlanta Wednesday to shoot the 'LHH' show. We're told last Friday he was committed to do the special -- but he had a change of heart on Monday -- backing out due to what he called safety and mental health concerns.

Our sources say VH1's parent company, Viacom, promised Safaree they'd put necessary measures in place to make sure he felt safe -- including additional security if a fight broke out -- but he wouldn't budge.

Safaree's no-show certainly didn't sit well with network honchos ... who fired off a legal letter warning Safaree if he didn't attend, he could be on the hook for substantial damages.

Safaree's manager, David Weintraub, tells us he's encouraged the reality star to fulfill his obligations to the network. However, the decision on how he handles his contractual commitments is ultimately up to Safaree.

Viacom has also threatened to bar Safaree from appearing on any other TV shows while under contract ... limiting his ability to make additional income.
