Tying The Knot

Polygamy is confusing so here's the deal. Kody claims to have 4 wives, but he's only legally allowed to marry one. He married Meri before meeting any of the other women, but we've learned he decided he no longer wanted her as the official wife.

So Kody quietly divorced Meri and then tied the knot with another sister wife -- Robyn, the youngest of the bunch.

Now you wanna hear a friendly divorce. Meri is still in the fold, and she's become one of the backup singers ... aka sister wives.

Engaged WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson are 6'8" and 6'3" respectively, so when it came time to find a wedding gown ... they needed help from the folks at "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta."

And it wasn't easy. According to our sources, it will actually be Johnson who will be wearing the dress ... while Griner will go with a suit.

During the taping of the episode, set to air Friday on TLC, we're told Glory had to try on a bunch of dresses to find one that fits right ... cause most brides didn't average 9.2 rebounds/game last season.

Stick a fork in 'em, 'cause the engagement between KC Chiefs QB Aaron Murray and smokin' hot news reporter Kacie McDonnell is over ... and it doesn't sound like there's any chance of a reconciliation.

Their love story became national news ... when she left her job (a great job) as a reporter in Philadelphia last year and moved to KC to be with Aaron who was drafted by the Chiefs.

Kacie got a job in news in Kansas City and everything seemed to be perfect ... until McDonnell made this shocking announcement:

"I’m really committed to being a part of this community for the time being. The engagement is off. I wish him the best, it’s best to part ways. I’m moving on with my life."

FYI -- Aaron's brother is Josh Murray who just broke off his engagement to former "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman earlier this month.

DeMarco Murray just popped the question to his longtime GF Heidi Mueller ... and good news for the running back, she said 'Yes.'

Mueller famously portrayed Kay Bennett Crane on "Passions."

DeMarco and Heidi have a daughter together.

It's the first in a series of big moves for the Dallas star -- who's set to become an unrestricted free agent in a couple of weeks and may have to leave Big D if the Cowboys don't come up with a big contract offer.

Michael Sam clearly wanted to make a statement when he proposed to his longtime BF -- 'cause the football player popped the question right in Vatican City.

Sam posted the pic ... which shows HE was the one who got down on one knee and popped the question to Vito Cammisano last week.

We're told Sam and Vito were inside St. Peter's Basilica at the time.

It's sort of an act of defiance ... considering the Catholic church is still anti-gay marriage.

Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster has a short memory ... she's so happy for Usher and Grace Miguel she'd not only love for her kids to be at his wedding ... they can be in it.

"Nasty" is a gross understatement in characterizing the war between Usher and Tameka over their two boys. Yet now we're told she's more than fine if their kids see him swap vows with the woman she claims hooked up with him while their youngest was only 3-months.

Usher popped the question earlier this week to his manager/girlfriend and Tameka wishes them nothing but the best.

Tameka must be over getting booted by Usher from his $3M Georgia mansion in 2012 ... and forgot claiming he cheated on her with one of her bridesmaids from their wedding.

Even if they're just empty words ... sounds like she's taking little groomsmen steps in the right direction.

San Diego Padres superstar Justin Upton is officially a married man -- and the party was INSANE ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The 27-year-old superstar (who's finishing up a $50 million contract) tied the knot to longtime GF Ashley Borror Saturday night at a fancy L.A. hotel and spared no expense.

The bar? Top shelf booze ... the well scotch was Macallan 18!
The smokes? Guy had a box of Cubans for anyone who wanted to puff away.
The entertainment? BRIAN MCKNIGHT ... and we're told he KILLED IT!

Tons of famous people were at the event ... including Justin's baseball star brother BJ Upton and Justin's ex-teammate Dan Uggla.

Rapper Xzbit -- who was arrested for DUI after his wedding reception -- will now have to tell a judge either "I do" or "I do not" plead guilty.

Xzbit has just been charged with 2 counts of DUI, for a bizarre arrest last November. He left his Laguna Beach wedding reception, presumably with new wife Krista Joiner, and was stopped by cops who say they saw him speeding. They said he reeked of booze and was cuffed and taken to jail.

According to the charging docs, the rapper blew a .14 ... nearly twice the legal limit.

Next time, tie those tin cans to an Uber.

Finally, some good news for Michael Sam -- HE'S ENGAGED!!!

It all went down in Europe where the 25-year-old football player has been vacationing with his college sweetheart Vito Cammisano ... the man Sam famously kissed when he was drafted into the NFL last year.

Unclear who asked who ... but one of Vito's friends (who was on the University of Missouri swim team with Vito) is already congratulating the couple about it on Instagram ... and Sam "liked" her post.

Sam has raved about his relationship with Vito -- and the two even traveled together to St. Louis and Dallas when Michael was working out with the NFL teams.

"Bachelorette" stars Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray have called off their engagement ... their rep tells TMZ.

It's pretty weird and pretty sudden. Three days ago they were on the red carpet for the Season 19 premiere of "The Bachelor." Chris Harrison asked them, "So when's the wedding?" He said there were no immediate plans as Andi rubbed his back.

The former couple got engaged after appearing on the show last year.

Andi and Josh, through the rep, tell TMZ, "After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually."

Sorry ladies, Tampa Bay Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans is officially off the market ... 'cause he just got engaged -- and proposed with a pretty solid diamond ring!

Evans -- who just finished up one helluva rookie season -- popped the question to Ashli Dotson in late December ... right around Xmas and Ashli's 21st birthday.

The two met back in 2013 while Mike was playing ball at Texas A&M ... and things got serious between the two in February 2014 ... when she announced the relationship on social media.

No word on when the two plan on tying the knot.

Ludacris' hastily arranged marriage is a cheap trick in his attempt to gain full custody of his daughter ... so says a source close to his baby mama.

We're told Luda's baby mama, Tamika Fuller, thinks Luda wants to show the judge in their custody fight that he now has a stable, loving household ... more conducive to child-rearing than the home of single mom Tamika. She fears a Georgia judge could actually buy what Luda's selling.

As we reported ... Luda abruptly proposed to GF Eudoxie during the XMAS holidays and married her the very same day. Tamika thinks it was all just a ploy.

Luda is gunning to win full custody of their 1-year-old daughter Cai. He claims he's a better parent and has the means to provide her with a better life.

Tamika thinks it's a crass ploy to avoid paying $7,000 a month in child support.

The courtroom fireworks begin later this month.

Good news for Draya Michele ... sounds like she's gonna get her engagement ring!!!

Draya's BF, Dallas Cowboys star Orlando Scandrick appeared on "Fox Sports Live Countdown" On FS1 (airing tonight at 9 PM PT, 12 ET) and was asked if he'll be hitting the diamond store anytime soon.

He blushed. He raved about Draya ... but he also bobbed and weaved like a champ.

Bottom line -- Scandrick says it'll all work itself out "in due time."

So ... congrats???

"Basketball Wives" star Draya Michele has been called many things ... but subtle isn't one of 'em ... and last night she told her BF Orlando Scandrick it's time to pony up for a RING!!!

Draya was leaving Boa Steakhouse on Sunset when we asked if her Dallas Cowboys superstar BF has thought about how he's going to spend his playoff bonus money.

That's when Draya dropped the not-so-subtle hint to TMZ Sports ... saying, "I don't plan for other people's money ... but I hope that he has a nice investment that he's going to buy that has to do with rings and things and sparkly stuff."

She playfully added, "I like diamonds!"

No pressure, Scandrick.

Kevin Hart flatly rejected a rose seller Tuesday night, because it's a waste of money now that he's sealed the deal with his woman.

The clip is hysterical. Kevin's leaving The Emerson Theatre in Hollywood when the rose lady approaches him. He does a show and tell with his fiancee Eniko Parrish to demonstrate why roses are now superfluous to his life.

But then there's a turn ... and what Kevin does is awesome.

Ludacris likes his proposals like he likes his movies ... FAST AND FURIOUS ... because we're told he got married over the holidays after proposing the very same day.

According to our sources, Luda popped the question to long time GF Eudoxie during the day ... then took her out to dinner at a Georgia restaurant. When they returned home, a wedding dress was draped over a piece of furniture.

This was all a surprise to Eudoxie, but she was game so they got married on the spot. A few friends and family members were there to celebrate.

BTW ... Luda's mom picked out the dress, and Eudoxie had no objections.

They blew out of town a day or so later for their honeymoon in Costa Rica.
