AOC to Jeff Bezos Government Money Ask Is Really Rich ... While Ex Donates Billions!!!

Published

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks it's pretty rich to see a billionaire seeking handouts from Uncle Sam while their ex-wife gives away billions of dollars -- so she's ripping Jeff Bezos.

We got AOC on Capitol Hill Thursday and asked how she feels about the Amazon and Blue Origin boss' ex, MacKenzie Bezos, recently donating nearly $3 billion of her roughly $37 billion.

AOC says it's interesting to see what the exes are doing with their boatloads of cash ... applauding MacKenzie for giving it away like candy and blasting Jeff for asking the government for $10 billion in taxpayer funds to help his aerospace company land on the moon.

LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO SPACE

AOC's beef with Jeff is an offshoot from Sen. Elizabeth Warren ... remember, she told us last week Bezos' space ambitions are a slap in the face to taxpayers, who she says are essentially funding his missions because JB doesn't pay his fair share in taxes.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Fair to say, neither the Congresswoman nor the Senator would be interested in the final seat on Jeff's upcoming maiden voyage ... even if they had the nearly $30 mil it's apparently gonna cost.

Rep. Donald Payne Jr. Gut-Buster on Zoom Caught in PJs, Shows Belly

Published

Congressman Donald Payne Jr. is reporting for duty ... he's just not bothering to get dressed for it.

The U.S. Representative from New Jersey got caught in an embarrassing situation Thursday during a Zoom call with colleagues, as he apparently forgot to turn off his camera as he rolled out of bed in his pajamas for the meeting.

So, instead of seeing a sharp-dressed politician, the legislators on the call who were listening to Rep. Yvette Clarke speak also got an eyeful of Payne's slightly-too-small Captain America t-shirt, his exposed belly ... and what looked like blue striped boxers.

The clip was shared by Texas Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who used it to take a shot at all Dems by adding the caption ... "Another reason Democrats should get off Zoom and back to work."

Payne's legislative director tried to defend him from Van Duyne's dig by citing the Congressman's weight struggle and diabetes, but in reality ... the reaction of Rep. Kat Cammack at the bottom of the screen says it all.

Rep. Payne Jr. has addressed his gaffe, telling TMZ ... "As a public servant, my focus has always been the public good and my work to better the lives of my constituents and all Americans, regardless of the circumstances."

Sounds like a guy who rocks a Captain America tee in bed.

President Biden & VP Kamala Harris Juneteenth Is New Federal Holiday!!!

Published | Updated

AN IMPORTANT DAY IN HISTORY

President Biden just made it official ... there's now a federal holiday marking a milestone in the abolishment of slavery in the United States.

Biden put pen to paper Thursday, signing a landmark bill establishing June 19 as Juneteenth National Independence Day. It's a huge deal, and not only because it's the first new federal holiday established since 1983 with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Juneteenth is the oldest celebration in America commemorating the end of slavery. Prior to Biden signing the bill, the day was marked as a state holiday or observance in 47 states and Washington D.C.

While both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris said the holiday shows how far America's come as a nation, they stressed there's still a long road to go in making good on the promise for equality for all.

Still, Kamala says it's a day of celebration and the party's already starting on Capitol Hill ... the Congressional Black Congress sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing" -- aka the "Black National Anthem" -- after the bill was signed in the House and sent to Biden's desk.

Biden and Harris hope folks understand the history of Juneteenth and learn from it ... so here's a quick lesson.

The name Juneteenth comes from June 19, 1865, the date Union General Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas and informed a group of slaves the Civil War was over and they were free.

Of course, President Lincoln had actually abolished slavery with the Emancipation Proclamation nearly 3 years earlier, but Texas was the most remote of the slave states and had a low presence of Union soldiers ... so enforcement was beyond slow.

The first Juneteenth celebration traces its roots to 1866 in Texas, with the holiday spreading across the South in the following decades, and in 2020 there was a renewed push to make it a federal holiday.

Usher was spotted at the White House for the historic event.

BTW ... June 19 falls on a Saturday this year, so federal workers are getting Friday off this time around.

D.L. Hughley Juneteenth Holiday's Cool and All But ... Don't Censor Slavery Teaching!!!

Published | Updated

D.L. Hughley's fired up about Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday, but it's got nothing to do with getting a 3-day weekend -- he's fuming at the ironic dilemma it presents.

We got the comedian on "TMZ Live" Thursday and he made a hilarious comparison about President Biden soon signing Juneteenth into law to make it the 12th federal holiday. D.L. says it's like getting the wrong order from Amazon, and keeping it ... but still wondering why the original order's missing in the first place.

His point is Black people have been demanding justice and equality, but instead got a 3-day weekend. Yeah, no one's gonna complain, but what about the justice part?

D.L. says there's another aspect of the new Juneteenth federal holiday that reeks of irony -- the fact that several U.S. Senators who voted for the bill are simultaneously trying to block schools from teaching about the role slavery played in building America. As he put it ... it's kinda hard to explain the holiday if critical race theory is censored.

More than 20 states have introduced legislation that would restrict lessons on racism or any other "divisive" concepts. Hughley says this is the duality of our life in America.

In the end, he's all for a summer BBQ sesh, but D.L. adds ... this holiday does nothing to level the playing field.

President Biden Apologizes for 'Wise Guy' Response To CNN Reporter's Putin Question

"IN THE WRONG BUSINESS"

President Biden got testy with a reporter over a question about his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he was quick to say sorry ... even if it was a little backhanded.

Here's what happened -- CNN's Kaitlan Collins asked Biden why he was confident Putin would change his behavior following the Geneva summit, and the Prez took serious issue with the word "confident."

Biden was so miffed at the question, he actually walked back out at the end of his Wednesday press conference to address Collins and explain what he meant ... ultimately telling her she's "in the wrong business" when she asked a follow-up question.

Moments later though, Biden walked over to other reporters on the tarmac in Geneva -- as he was preparing to depart Switzerland -- and issued an apology to Collins for being short with her.

POTUS said, "I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy with the last answer I gave."

However, he later continued ... "To be a good reporter you gotta be negative; you gotta have a negative view of life ... you never ask a positive question." He also said reporters are the brightest people in the country so it makes no sense for him to negotiate with them.

For the record ... Collins said her line of questioning was not meant to be positive or negative, but she appreciated the apology anyway.

Rep. Tim Burchett New UFOs Likely From Deep Space ... Not the Russians!!!

Published | Updated

Vladimir Putin and Russia are not responsible for the swarm of UFOs being reported by U.S. Navy pilots, according to Rep. Tim Burchett ... who says the aircraft must be from another galaxy!!!

We got the U.S. Congressman from Tennessee on Capitol Hill Tuesday and asked him about the rash of sightings in U.S. airspace or off our shores ... and the speculation President Biden plans to raise the issue Wednesday during his Geneva summit with Putin.

Rep. Burchett's having a hard time believing the Russians are involved. He says if they had the kind of advanced technology pilots have reported seeing ... Putin would already own America.

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE

Instead, the Congressman thinks the objects -- which are seen on video operating in ways defying known laws of physics and gravity -- must be something from beyond the Milky Way.

There's lots of government chatter about UFOs these days, with intelligence officials expected to release an unclassified report for the first time before the end of June. Burchett says he's been disappointed with empty promises before about releasing UFO info ... and even calls out former Prez Trump for missing the mark.

COMPLETELY SURROUNDED

The Congressman told us "something's clearly going on" ... but the powers that be think folks can't handle the truth. He also offered up a Biblical theory about the existence of UFOs.

If the highly-anticipated government report doesn't cough up some real intel, Burchett says it will only prove why some people believe more in UFOs than in their elected officials.

LET'S GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS

Like Senators Marco Rubio and Martin Heinrich before him, Rep. Burchett says it's time we take UFOs seriously, and he's got a hunch full disclosure is coming ... one way or another!!!

Gov. Gavin Newsom Ropes In Minions, Optimus Prime ... To Announce CA Reopening

CALIFORNIA IS BACK

Gov. Gavin Newsom went all Hollywood, literally, to announce California's reopening from pandemic restrictions.

Newsom hit up Universal Studios on Tuesday to officially reopen the Golden State's economy, and announce it's finally turning the page beyond capacity limits, color coding, social distancing and mask coverings.

Taking full advantage of his location, the Gov roped in the Minions, Trolls, Optimus Prime and fake Chris Pratt from "Jurassic World" to dress up the event -- although, it did make for a couple awkward moments.

For starters, the Gov called the famous Autobot "Optimum." Then, there was the awkward countdown. After the quick glitch ... confetti rained down and the famous Universal theme song played to officially signal California's reopening.

It should be noted ... masks are still required in K-12 schools, airports/public transportation and hospitals. But, still, masks and social distancing are virtually now in the rearview mirror thanks to the state having one of the lowest rates (below 1%) of infection in the U.S.

New York's celebrating too. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is reportedly having a firework show Tuesday night to celebrate the state reaching its goal of 70% adult vaccination -- and the end of state-mandated COVID restrictions.

While both governors are boasting their state's success ... both stand to benefit politically, as well. Newsom's facing an upcoming recall vote, while Cuomo's under fire for sexual harassment allegations.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Ousted After Long 12-Year Run ... Shift in Governance Looms

Published | Updated

Benjamin Netanyahu -- Israel's longest-standing Prime Minister in their history -- has officially been given the boot by his own government ... this amid a tumultuous past few years.

Bibi was ousted Sunday after Israel's parliament, known as the Knesset, voted to remove him from power and to form a new coalition of government ... with Naftali Bennett -- an ultra-conservative politician himself -- narrowly being voted in to take the reins for the time being, now leading a diverse group of minds, who range from liberal to moderate on Israeli policies.

BN is said to have looked pretty down and out during the vote ... sitting by silently, and eventually shaking hands with Bennett before getting out of there with his team.

Despite the 8 different parties that make up this new alliance not seeing eye to eye on many issues -- the one thing they seemed to be in agreeance with was that it was time for Ben to go ... this after a historic 12-year tenure, albeit one that was full of ups and downs, especially lately with the most recent escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine.

Netanyahu is also on trial right now, facing corruption charges -- and yet, he refused to resign and forged on, much to the chagrin of several political bigwigs there. Not just that, but Israel's been through a whopping FOUR elections in the past two years.

Safe to say ... the country appears ready for a change, and they finally made it happen. Ben -- who was first voted into office way back in 2009 -- isn't going away, however ... he'll just become the opposition party's leader, and attempt to get a grip on his cohorts once more.

In the meantime, it's a new day in the Middle East -- and a lot of people seem happy about it ... as scores of Israelis hit the streets to celebrate the news of Netanyahu's ousting.

Time will tell if the new leadership can effectively ease tensions that have been boiling over for several years.

Joe & Jill Biden High Tea With The Queen ... And No Major Missteps!!!

Published | Updated

President Biden and the First Lady met with the Queen of the U.K. this weekend to break bread and throw back some high-quality H20 -- and by that ... we mean tea and biscuits.

Joe and Jill swung by Windsor Castle Sunday for a late afternoon powwow with Queen Elizabeth II -- who was ready and waiting for them with her entire Guard of Honour standing by as well ... dressed in their red coats, and tall hats and standing as straight as ever.

When the mister and missus pulled up ... they got out greeted QE2 on a platform she was chillin' on -- and then remained upright as the crew there started playing "The Star-Spangled Banner," to which the Bidens saluted with hand over heart salutes. Liz didn't do it, though.

Anyway, after the American National Anthem was played -- Joe undertook what's considered tradition when world leaders pay a visit ... and that would be inspecting the troops. He did a lap and then circled back with Jill and the Queen, proceeding to go inside for tea time.

One last thing we should note here ... Joe remembered to do something that his predecessor infamously forgot to do, and that would be -- do NOT get ahead of the Her Majesty. Literally.

You might recall ... when Trump went for a little face time with the woman herself back in 2018 -- doing much of what Biden's doing today -- he pulled a major snafu and walked in FRONT of the Queen at one point, which is a major no-no -- and seen as poor etiquette.

Watch the clip toward the end when they start making their way in ... JB minded his manners here, and let Liz take the lead, no matter how long it took.

Ah, diplomatic relations ... on the mend once again.

Kamala Harris First Veep to Join LGBTQ Pride Parade

Published | Updated

Kamala Harris breaks lots of ground ... the latest being she's the first Vice President of the United States to march in solidarity of LGBTQ rights.

The Veep and her husband, Doug Emhoff, took to the streets Saturday in Washington D.C. for the Pride March. There was no advanced notice she would show, so it was a big surprise to marchers when she showed up in a pink blazer. Doug wore a t-shirt with a rainbow inscription. They both marched for a block or so.

Harris spoke at the Capital Pride rally, urging Congress to pass the Equality Act. She said, "We need to make sure that our transgender community and our youth are all protected. We need, still, protections around employment and housing."

The Veep added during the rally at Freedom Plaza, "There is so much more work to do, and I know we are committed."

Pride marches are being held all over the country ... another sign of the pandemic thaw.

Jill Biden & Kate Middleton Nice To Meet Ya!!! Tour UK School Together

Published | Updated

Dr. Jill Biden and Kate Middleton met for the first time ever ... and everything looked rosy, including their elegant outfits.

The First Lady and Duchess of Cambridge met Friday in Cornwall, England ... not too far from where President Biden is attending the G7 Summit.  Meanwhile, Kate and Jill are focusing on education and kiddos.

They toured the Connor Downs Academy and visited a classroom for 4- and 5-year-olds ... who were reading the book, "Greta and the Giant." Both women wore masks indoors while chatting with the kids about the book.

They later headed outside and visited some of the animals on the premises. The kids look after some rabbits there ... which explains why Jill was carrying a huge plate of carrots.

They also took part in a roundtable discussion on early childhood education. Jill, of course, has spent decades as an educator. She's currently a college professor ... so this trip and the discussion itself are, no doubt, especially meaningful to her.

This is the Bidens' first international trip since entering the White House. POTUS and FLOTUS are slated to meet Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle on Sunday.

Elizabeth Warren Jeff Bezos Is Laughing At Us!!! We Financed His Space Trip

LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO SPACE

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is going scorched earth over Jeff Bezos leaving Earth -- she's pissed about his trip to space, and says everyone who pays their taxes should be too.

We got the Senator Thursday at Reagan National Airport, and asked her about the world's richest man adding himself to the first crewed flight to space for his aerospace company, Blue Origin.

Warren says Bezos launching himself into space is a total insult to U.S. taxpayers because the trip is, effectively, being financed by them -- while Bezos does not pay his fair share in taxes ... at least according to the Senator.

As she puts it, the Amazon honcho's laughing all the way to space.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

As we reported ... Jeff and his brother are traveling to space July 20 in a rocket ship named New Shepard, and they're auctioning a spot on the 6-seat capsule, with the highest bid currently approaching $5 million.

Fact of the matter is, Bezos is worth around $190 billion -- so, regardless of how much he pays in taxes, he could more than afford a ticket aboard the rocket.

Of course, that kinda strengthens Sen. Warren's point. Check out the video ... you can feel her disdain for Bezos.

Joe Biden Swats Away Cicada from His Neck ... Press Has to Grapple Too

cicadas take the capital

President Biden kept his cool while having every right in the world to bug out ... this as a creepy-crawler tried making itself at home smack dab on his head!

46 was at Joint Base Andrews Wednesday AM ahead of his international trip to Europe -- where he's slated to meet with other world leaders, including Vladimir Putin -- and before takeoff ... the guy had to play defense against a freakin' cicada, brushing it off his neck.

The gross-out moment was caught on camera as JB talked to one of the men in uniform -- as was Biden's grossed-out face after he flicked the little bastard onto the ground ... where it belongs.

Joe trotted over to the press afterward and confirmed ... cicadas were around, and that he'd just taken care of one personally. His warning did NOT go unheeded -- as the folks following him around had to deal as well. Reports say the press plane was chock-full of cicadas.

Apparently, a swarm of the insects found their way into the engine area of the aircraft ... and actually caused a delay Tuesday night before they could hit the skies.

These buggers are all over D.C. ... CNN's Manu Raju had to fend for himself during a live shot from Capitol Hill. He reacted a little more frantically than ol' Joey here did.

Siiiiiiiick...adas. Absolutely disgusting!

Vice President Harris Hounded by Motorcycle TV Crews ... Bienvenido a Mexico City!!!

Published | Updated

Vice President Kamala Harris is getting the Beatles treatment south of the border ... tons of TV crews are chasing after her motorcade, with cameramen standing on the backs of moving motorcycles!!!

Ya gotta see the scene down in Mexico City, where a huge throng of media is racing after the Veep trying to get a shot, but it almost looks like she's being followed by a biker gang ... that happens to be outfitted with cameras and live stream equipment.

It's definitely not something we see every day in the United States, and it looks like a lot of the motorcycling media aren't even wearing helmets. These are some brave hombres.

Kamala's in town to meet with Mexico's President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and if the mass of cameras trained on her every move didn't already give it away ... the visit is a BIG deal to a lot of people.

All the attention and TV cameras gotta make ya wonder -- is Donald Trump a little jealous of the Vice Prez??

If she were anywhere besides Mexico, we'd say yes. It ain't exactly his jam ... and the feeling's mutual.

Barack Obama Cancel Culture is Dangerous But My Daughters' Generation Gets It

DON'T GO OVERBOARD

Barack Obama says flatly ... cancel culture has become a dangerous weapon in America, but he sees a silver lining.

Obama talked about what he calls the dangers of demanding human perfection during an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper. His take ... "At least in conversations with my daughter, I think that a lot of the dangers of cancel culture and we're just going to be condemning people all the time, at least among my daughters they will acknowledge sometimes among their peer group or in college campuses you'll see folks going overboard."

As for Sasha and Malia, he adds, "But they have a pretty good sense of look, we don't want, we don't expect everybody to be perfect."

That said, he went on to say cancel culture has its place when there is cruelty or discrimination, and he believes young people are leading the charge to correct such injustices.

Obama tells Cooper ... his daughters and their peers don't simply accept stuff like the criminal justice system being tainted by racism or people being discriminated against based on their sexual orientation -- they know it's wrong and are trying to change it.

Barack Obama OCTOBER 2019
GOTTA DO BETTER

As you may recall ... Obama's slammed cancel culture before, back in 2019, but he referred to it as "woke" culture and made it clear he doesn't believe it equates to activism.

Sounds like he thinks folks -- especially the younger ones -- understand this today.

Donald Trump Pants on Ass-Backwards!?! Lookin' Like a No-Fly Zone

TRUMP'S TURNED AROUND TROUSERS?

Donald Trump traveled to North Carolina for a speech to Republicans, but the headline may be in his pants!

Check out the video and pics ... there isn't any apparent zipper in the front of his suit pants, which had Twitter going insane. The question ... did Trump put his pants on backwards?

One meme was captioned, "No fly on Trump's pants? I think I know where it went." The pic is of the fly that landed on Mike Pence's noggin during the Vice Presidential debate.

As for the speech, Trump zeroed in on China again, in the wake of reports COVID may have originated in a lab and not a wet market. He said China should pay reparations to the world.

He defended Putin. He asked for credit for the vaccine. He groused forever about what he falsely claims is election fraud, asserting for the thousandth time he won the 2020 election.

He went on and on for 90 minutes ... but those pants!!!
